My new roommate? Oh, boy.
The last thing I want is to rent my spare bedroom to my ex-husband's best friend.
His six-foot-three, dimple-faced, alphahole best friend.
His injured-professional-football-player best friend.
But desperate times, desperate measures, y'know?
I can't afford to hold grudges. These heaping bills of mine won't pay themselves.
Keeping my distance from my new roommate should be simple enough. I mean, I can't stand Jude Kingston. Plus, as my ex's friend, he's so off-limits he's virtually radioactive.
In any case, Jude promises to stay out of my way. He's just a broken football hero in need of a quiet place to focus on healing his injured knee and saving his lifelong dream.
Harmless, right?
Um, not so much...
The man is infuriating. He spends his days parading that shirtless, muscle-bound body all around my house. He insists on involving himself in my private business. He has zero concept of personal space.
But he also has this boyish, unintentional charm. And this inconvenient way of repeatedly coming to my rescue.
Suddenly, lust is throbbing in every room of this house.
Lingering gazes over the dinner table...
Sweaty workout sessions on the living room floor...
Stolen kisses in the moonlit hallways...
I can't fight these soft feelings growing roots in my belly. Jude is a vine, slowly wrapping himself around my heart.
But when a piece of my past threatens his entire future, will our love even stand a chance?
Mister Baller is a steamy, laugh-out-loud, enemy roommates-to-lovers small town romance featuring a stubborn footballer with a sinful eight-pack, an insufferable ego and the food preferences of a toddler. It is set in small town Illinois and is book 2 in the Bad Boys in Love series.
A full-length (85 000-word) standalone. No cliffhanger. HEA guaranteed.
Mister Baller (Bad Boys in Love #2) Reviews

A book that makes me both laugh and cry has to be a winner.
Iris and Jude stole my heart in Mister Baller. Their story was simply wonderful, so enjoyable to read. The perfect mix of humour, snark, angst and steam that all blends together to make an amazing love story. I adored Ivy, who was shy but brave and determined, and loved sexy, smooth but also vulnerable Jude.
Cassie-Ann L. Miller writes beautifully, so that you become immersed not only in the story but in the emotions of the protagonists too. I lived the feelings portrayed in this story, I was totally invested in Jude and Ivy, both as individuals and as a couple, cheering them on towards a HEA. Whilst somewhat slow-burn, this is still full of sexual tension and chemistry. An enemies-to-lovers that didn't have to rely on forced angst to make it interesting, instead great characters and a fantastic story took care of that.
Reading Mister Baller was akin to taking a very pleasant journey, time flew past, there was lots to see and do along the way, we experience a few rough patches but it was all worth while when we got to the end. -
Cute Read 3.5-3.75

Laughter and tears in the very best ways
Such a delightful book two in Cassie-Ann L Miller’s Bad Boys in Love series!
Jude and Iris are a sweet sizzle together. I going myself identifying with Iris and thinking of Jude as mine.
A very touching and yet playful story. Looking for to Walker and Pen next.
Oh, and, how does Miller come up with this stuff:
“Of course, the prospect of sharing my house with a stranger is scary but bazillions of people do it every day. And, most of them don’t become a tarp-burrito.” -

Tales of Love, Life, and Murder
Iris is trying to put her life back together after her sleazy ex-husband left her in debt. Nothing has gone right for her since losing her marriage and her business so she desperately needs the money she’ll make from renting out a room but Jude Kingston is the last person in the world she wants as a roommate.
Jude isn’t thrilled about the arrangement but he needs to live somewhere while he recovers and moving back in with his parents is even worse than living with Iris. The attraction is strong and mutual, but Iris sees her body as a traitor for the way it reacts to Jude. Besides, Jude would never make a move on his best friend’s ex, even if they’re not really friends anymore.
Iris is a too kind-hearted to remain enemies and begins helping Jude rehab his knee despite how she felt about him in college. Jude has never been so attracted to any woman, but he fights it for so long out of some misguided loyalty to a man who doesn’t deserve Iris or Jude’s friendship. Cassie-Ann Miller never disappoints so Iris and Jude’s story was sweet, hilarious and fun, as expected. -
I thought I loved the book "Mr. Billions", but this book blows everything that's been in the universe.
The chemistry between Jude and Iris, which has actually been around since college days, knocks you off the stool. You almost burn your fingers holding the book.
The storyline, which the author has spun around these two, is so incredibly good that 5 stars are not enough. At one point in the book, I was so close to the tears that my eyes were already filled with water. I guess if I hadn't been interrupted by a phone call at this moment, they would have actually flown.
Jude had always secret crush on Iris, but she became the girlfriend and later the wife of his best friend. He became a much-loved football star until a nasty injury took him out of the game.
Iris was finally abandoned by her constantly cheating husband and is now almost destitute. For this reason, she has to rent a room in her house. This is where Cannon and his wife come into play when they arrange for Iris a well-paying tenant.
That's all I'm going to tell you, because you have to buy this book to know the whole story. You will not regret this purchase and recommend this book to everyone you know. In my humble opinion, it's absolute world class.
I received an ARC of this book provided via Bookfunnel. I have voluntarily chosen to leave my review in support of this book. -
Mister Baller was everything you could want in a romance story. Drama, chemistry, witty banter and a real sense of family, throw some emotional turmoil in and my goodness, this book is a definite winner!!
Iris is this beautiful woman, she has a heart of gold but doesn't see herself as someone worth anything. Her struggles are many but when Jude comes back into her life as a roommate, things get decidedly heated but also better too. Jude has an injury he's recovering from and to be able to play football again, he needs help. He's come back to his home town to mend.
The way Iris and Jude get along is funny in parts and I loved the way the storyline went. But don't they also say don't count your chickens, until they be hatched, or something like that, when things go decidedly awry, will this be the end of their friendship or do Judes family have to do an intervention??
I loved the way Iris blossomed in this book, I loved how she came out of her shell and Jude's Mums words of wisdom were inspirational!!
Such an absolute delight it was to read this beautiful story. I am so excited for more of this series!! -
A perfect book to pick up anytime, anywhere! There are not enough stars to express how fantastic this book is!!
This book is absolute FIRE!....I had to devour this book as quickly as possible. It has a lot of steamy romance, a lot of drama, and a very happy ending that wraps everything in a nice bow. Their HEA was wonderful, and the epilogue was everything I could hope for. Cassie-Ann books hit the spot every single time; entertaining and engaging, you fall in love with her characters and you're left with a happy heart. Jude and Iris were great characters and their story definitely left me smiling. I just could not put it down. All that sexy flirting, outstanding humor, and that perfect chemistry... Perfect spontaneous combustion material. I was all smiles and giggles, unique, fun, and sexy!! I absolutely loved this book!! Another amazing book by Cassie-Ann L. Miller! Its also fast paced and addictive and a perfect book to pick up anytime, anywhere. There are not enough stars to express how fantastic this book is...definitely one to one-click! Bring on Walker and Penny’s book please, need it ASAP lol Happy reading everyone!! -
Iris and Jude. The continuing story of the Kingston family begun in Mister Billions. Jude is the youngest Kingston brother. Iris is a divorced woman he went to college with. Jude is a professional football player with a potentially career ending knee injury. Iris dated (and married and divorced) Jude’s best friend from college. Jude comes home to rehab his knee and needs a place to stay. Iris has recently been evicted from her business because she’s broke and has a room in her house for rent.
There were parts of this story that I really liked. I thought when Iris let her guard down and started to let Jude in was very sweet, and I liked the growing relationship between them. The toenail painting was cute. Parts of the story were confusing like Iris’s new found sisters. Not sure why they were needed. Parts of it I hated like the drama with her douchebag ex and the angst after Jude’s second injury. Parts of it also seemed to just be setting up future books (Walker and Eli’s books), and some parts seemed to refer to past books (Faith and Maxwell perhaps?).
Overall it was a decent read, and I will read the next in the series. -
Jude and Iris - a swoony and sweet enemies to lovers story
This book finds the perfect sweet spot of animosity between the main characters without tipping into meanness or abuse for this perfection of an enemies to lovers story. Jude is a professional football player who has suffered a potential career ending injury. He has come back to his hometown to recover and heal. He rents a room from Iris. Jude was Iris’ ex-husband’s best friend in college and Jude and Iris did not like each other at all. But Iris desperately needs the money and Jude needs a place to stay so they reach a detente to live as roommates for a few months. Iris and Jude’s journey to their inevitable HEA is a slow, sweet, perfectly paced journey. This book has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, fan your face steamy, funny bits, tearful moments, and heart squeezing love - expect to laugh, to swoon, and to cry. The characters were portrayed as three dimensional characters, their issues, and their growth translated as a well rounded storyline. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. -
Iris and Jude are enemies and they end up being roomies. She needs money to pay the bills when her husband up and left her and her bff had her rent out her room to her arch enemy Jude. He is a football player trying to heal from a serious injury. He remembers going to school and making Iris's life miserable, but what he never admitted was that he lusted for her. Now they live under the same roof and learn how to live together and put any animosity aside. Now she has to live with her ex's best friend and try not to fall for the charming football player. This is a funny, laugh out loud story thatwill entertain you for many hours with is quirky characters and funny story line. Another winner for Cassie-Ann Miller and I volunteered to review this arc.

Oh for a Piece of Cheese
I can never stop belly laughing at all of this wonderful author Cassie Ann Miller. They make me so happy. Fun, secrets and lies from the outset. I highly recommend this romantic, suspenseful read to all.
Iris is divorced and has lost her business and her self esteem, her life is greens, broccoli, cabbage to lose weight! She needs money also to balance her life. But how? Rent out her spare room to the dastardly bully from high school the play boy Jude Kingston, can she manage 2 months living together with him? Oh what a way ms Miller has with words! What has Iris’ mum been hiding all these years? Will Iris ever get over her her weight issues?
I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving a free copy -
Loved it! Jude and Iris have history, and not a good one. He was her ex’s best friend back in college and now he’s her new roommate. She needs the income from his rent so she’s going to suck it up and deal with it. Jude is down from a major injury. He needs a place to recover even though no one believes he will. His brother Cannon sets him up to stay with Iris. Iris, his old best friend’s ex-wife. A woman he wanted in college and didn’t like the way she was being treated. But she’s free now. He’s free. They’re both under the same roof. It doesn’t take long for sparks to fly and dreams to come to fruition.
This was a great story. I loved the chemistry and their interactions. The books sucks you in and makes you feel like another character on the page. Great series! -
Best book since quarantine began‼️‼️‼️This epic enemies-to-lovers story will captivate readers from the first to the last page. Be prepared for a wild journey with some very unexpected twists & turns along the way. Love conquers all this book is fantastic.
Jude comes home to heal from and injury but doesn’t want to stay home so his brother finds him a room to rent. He goes into the house and a few minutes later in walks his new landlord Iris. They went to college together and were sworn enemies. They agree to see how this goes. The longer they spend time together the stronger the chemistry gets. They start to become friends who support each other to more. Then something bad happens. Can Jude and Iris get pass it ? Great characters and storyline. Amazing book. Highly recommended. Jude and Iris are awesome. -
Love it 😍
I absolutely love this sweet romance. This story felt like a slow burn but it was worth every minute of it. Iris is the sweetest woman. She is smart, funny and beautiful. She is a divorcee trying to get her life in order. Jude is professional football player. He is handsome, nice and dedicated. He is suffering an injury and wants to hide out. These two starts off as enemies and quickly become friends of sorts. I love their journey to their happy ever after. I read a few books from Cassie-Ann and I love each one of them. Her writing is captivating! I want more 😍 Amazing work again Cassie-Ann L. Miller! -
I floved Iris and Jude, they are both going through a shi-tty time in their lives and even though they have known each other for years due to her ex husband and his best friend the total douche canoe Kirk they really don't know each other. There are plenty of feels in this book from happiness, frustration, laughter as well as sadness, shock and anger so you better settle your down and get comfy as we see these to enemies cohabit and learn more about each other as well as help each other and more! 😉

Mister Baller is book two in the Bad Boys in Love series, but can be read as a standalone. This book has it all college rivals, ex-husband's best friend, roommates, a hot football player. It was fantastic! Jude and Iris come together after Jude gets injured and Iris needs help with her bills. What happens when these two find themselves in close quarters together? It's an enemy roommates to lovers situation, with a lot of steam and also humor. I really enjoy reading Cassie's small town romances she brings the town to life and makes you want to move there. A 5 star read for sure!

Captivating!
Iris and Jude - I absolutely loved this couple! They are forced to live together in the house Iris once shared with her sleazy ex-husband/Jude's best friend. Iris has such a good heart and she doesn't deserve to be defeated by her ex-husband's deceit.
Jude needs a place to recover from a career ending injury. However, Iris believes Jude destroyed her college relationship with her ex-boyfriend/husband and doesn't trust him.
Can these enemies find a way to forgive and forget because fate apparently believes these two belong together? -
This is definitely what I need to cope with craziness at work.
The fun full of laughter, sweetness and steaminess totally made my day.
Loveeee the banter between Jude and Iris and the camaraderie between the girls, also the closeness in the Kingston's family really warms my heart. There are some parts that kinda bit rushed and too much for me but still I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Cute small-town sport romance spiced up with enemies to lovers with loveable characters, yup you don't want to miss this one. -
Keep Them Coming
The story of Jude and Iris was great to read. Seeing Iris slowly coming into her own and being able to finally stand up for herself took a long time, but it was worth it. Jude had to deal with the possible end to his career, but he didn’t believe it, even when pretty much everyone else in his life did. This isn’t a scorching love story, but it is a nice reading escape that makes me want to read all of Cassie-Ann L. Miller’s stories to see how the other people got their HEAs. -
If having your ex husbands best friend stay in your house isn’t awkward enough, then add in the fact that he’s also your college rival, who you are convinced did everything he could to make your life harder. Should be easy to stay away, but somehow...Jude is making it hard for Iris to remember all the reasons she doesn’t like him.
Jude and Iris’ chemistry is off the charts hot, I loved their story!!! I loved the twists and turns their story took, great book!!!
