The only thing I ever wanted in this life was to be an artist.
No matter how rough my childhood was, I knew tattooing would be my salvation.
Trying to succeed in my father’s shadow was too much for me to handle, so I took off for the city the first chance I got.
I didn’t realize until it was too late that there was a reason he wanted to hide me behind him.
Now he’s dead, the shop I grew up in is in shambles, and the only person who can save me from his past is Driller.
He says he’s going to claim me.
He wants to make me his.
But which would he rather keep? Me… or the secrets of the Dead Ringers MC.
Driller:
My club is in shambles.
My family is divided.
My brothers are growing restless, and I’m sick of the lies.
Dead Ringers born and bred, it’s my time to take matters into my own hands and get the MC back on track.
Pearl is a nice distraction.
I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe and avenge her father’s death.
To claim her as mine.
But will a man like me dull her shine?
Driller is a steamy standalone novel in the Dead Ringers MC world.

Passionate
This read was a passionate book I did think Betsy was the baddy for a while it was a nice surprise that she wasn't it kept me on my toes for sure I loved it it had a nice pace to it love books that are like this it didn't bore me great book -
In general I liked the characters but the plot had lots of holes. Not a fan or the sex scenes at all. To claim his woman he had to share her? If someone was a movie star in the 70s she wouldn’t be in her 50s now, closer to late 60s or early 70s.

I have never heard of this author before and this is my first book by the author, that being said.. I really liked this book, loved the story between Pearl and Driller. Despite being a MC book, it wasn’t over the top like most were. Absolutely lots of crazy, I think if some things weren’t so glossed over I would have given it 5 stars instead of the 4, regardless this was pretty good.
** I received this book as an audiobook promotion and I decided to volunteerly to leave a honest review** -
Driller was my first book by this author and I love a good MC story so I was really excited for this one. Driller is book one in the Dead Ringers MC series and tells the story of Driller who is in the MC and is struggling with feeling like the MC is falling apart and wanting to make it better and fix it, but not really knowing how to go about making that happen given issues within his family. Pearl is also tied to the MC in a roundabout way through her father. Driller decides he is going to protect her and find out who killed her father. Their relationship is is one of insta-lust almost but their chemistry is definitely off the charts. I really liked how protective Driller was of Pearl and how he wanted to help her better herself and get back to a place where she was truly happy. I did struggle a bit with the "claiming" rite of passage aspect of the club as that whole thing just seemed truly bizarre, but otherwise the book was interesting, and I enjoyed the narration. I would definitely be interested in reading more from the author in the future.

I love a good MC romance, and this second chance with Driller and Pearl is a great start to this series. It's my first listen by Deja Voss and I enjoyed it! At a young age, Driller and Pearl were thrown together for her birthday. Things didn't go as expected, and now years later, Pearl is back and Driller is enamored. Pearl has a lot to deal with, and he is there for her every step of the way. It's fast, it's hot, and it's real love. But that is not the only thing in this story. There is a suspense thread that will keep you interested. Motorcycle clubs always have danger, and this one is no exception. I also loved how Voss worked in relevant issues like dementia into the story. It's intriguing, full of twists and turns and lots of steam. Can't wait to see where it goes next!
Tanner De Bruyne brings it all to life. It's my first time hearing him narrate, and I loved him! He can navigate male and female voices with ease, has a good variety of voices that are easily distinguishable and has a great pace. I look forward to hearing more from him! -
Plot felt rushed
This is the first book I have read written by Deja Voss. Have you ever finished reading a book and felt like something was just off? Off might not even be the best way to describe it. Overall the story was good but felt rushed. Maybe it is just me but there was so much going on so fast, I feel like some details were missing. Details that could have given the story the breathing room it needs in order to slow the pace of the plot down some.
I have read quite a few MC romance novels in the past and Driller has to be one of the top 5 male leads who believes in love and is not afraid to show Pearl his feelings.
The storyline for Anita and Stoney breaks my heart. I was drawn in and wanted to know more about their relationship. How Anita deals with everything that has happened would have been a great secondary storyline to expand on.
I honestly don't know if I can continue reading the series or not even though I am curious to know what happens to the characters. -
Mixed feelings about this audiobook. I love a good MC romance, and this was good, possibly a bit on the cheesy side, with a few unbelievable bits, but enjoyable all the same. The storyline was good, great back stories and some wonderful characters, but a few of the club rules had me questioning the sanity of this group of bikers, I mean, I can imagine sharing women is a given in some clubs, but, I can’t imagine many guys sharing their old lady, just saying. Driller has the whole alpha male thing down pat, and I loved his protective side, however, I would have liked Pearl to have been a little stronger of mind and maybe a little more kick@ss. I loved all the drama, along with some truly emotional moments, it made for an entertaining read. Add in the narration from new to me, Tanner De Bruyne, with his deep, sexy voice, and I was a gonner. An enjoyable MC romance.

Great start for this new MC romance series! It was a nice blend of the MC and tattoo artist tropes, and I really enjoyed how the author layered in the backstory of Driller and Pearl. There were many connections among the characters and as the story progresses so do the twists and turns, keeping the plot exciting throughout. Driller and Pearl’s love attraction seemed fast, but it also stemmed from their younger past, giving them that fated second chance. I loved that Pearl had so much faith and trust in Driller, even when it came to a particular ritual that was definitely unique for this MC club, which further proved their love and loyalty to each other. Definitely an author and series that I will be on the lookout for more!
Listened on audio: A new-to-me narrator, Tanner De Bruyne did a great job on narration. He had a great range of voices and I really enjoyed his portrayal of the MC brothers with their gruff, alpha personalities.

This fell flat…
I didn’t understand or like the “claiming” scene (I almost stopped reading the story at that point, kinda wished I would’ve so I didn’t waste the time reading to the end) and Pearl wasn’t a great character at all. I know the writer wanted to make her a strong character but she comes off as immature and flighty to me.
The story had good bones, but there was absolutely no chemistry between Driller and Pearl, no reason that I could see that they fell for each other that fast. It did not make sense. Maybe if there was more of a story to their past… I just didn’t get it or believe it in any way. No connection or insta-love, there was nothing. The author just pushed them together and wanted the reader to buy it, well I didn’t.
Not continuing on with the author or series. Would NOT recommend this to anyone. Sorry. -
This is the first story I’ve listened to/read by this author. I was expecting more of a mc story but it really is more on the relationship between Driller and Pearl. I had a hard time getting into the book. Seems a lot of characters but emotion not that good. Before Driller knows much of anything about Pearl he “claims” her! There seems a lack of passion between them. The biggest problem I had was also the claiming. Normally people are possessive not into sharing if it’s the one. I’d probably be more into the story of how Pearl likes it when Driller is chosen to participate in another’s claiming. As for the narration, I feel Tanner De Bruyne did a great job. He did his best to bring the characters to life. I was given a free copy and this is my voluntary opinion.

Love out of chaos.
Pearl leaves her father’s shop, because she feels she won’t be able to show what she can do. Where she ends up is no better. She gets a call that something has happened at her fathers shop. She losses her father but finds a Driller, but wants nothing to do with him. Can he show her that he has fallen for her and only wants her happy? Was her fathers death random or something else? Can they find the answers before some else gets hurt? Come take a ride and find out. -
Ok I’m going to do my best with this review. First book I’ve read by Deja Voss and I’m not certain I will read anymore. The plot isn’t bad, it’s just confusing and crazy. Crazy like many characters in this book. We have vets with uncontrolled PTSD and I didn’t feel it was handled well. The future of the club is questionable and the members appear weak and unfocused. Pearl is whiny and weird…seriously meets her crazy sister for the first time and “just loves her so much”. Ugh unrealistic. I’m sorry I just know where exactly this book was going and I got lost in its chaos.

This is more than just a MC story. There is heart and distress included in here as well. The characters go through so much and they are interlinked via fathers. I really became invested in these characters as this story unfurled. I wanted Pearl to overcome her Past hang ups and be able to use her artistry as a tattoo artist to complete her dream
I listened to this on audio. Tanner De Bruyne did a wonderful job portraying these characters -
I am really loving MC books! This had all the feels. Driller is a hard, strong force but is gentle, sweet, and at times romantic. Pearl is a lost soul who believes that she belongs no where or doesn't deserve love. The forces that bring Driller and Pearl together show us what love and fate look like. I cannot wait till the next book!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. -

This is the first book since I started by KU membership that I did not finish. And I’m so incredibly disappointed because I have loved this author’s Royal Bastards MC contributions. I was out when this MC (as part of the claiming process) requires the woman to have sex with her man and another brother. I’m more than okay with a triad or ménage but to have it as a requirement to being claimed? Nope. I’m out. -
The first book I’ve read by Deja Voss. It is a very action packed story with sadness, death, & love. About two people who knew each other as kids in school.
Driller (Donavan) who is a biker in the Dead Ringers MC and Pearl who is a tattoo artist. They meet up again after her father is gunned down in his tattoo shop.
Who murdered Pearl’s father and how do Pearl and Driller get along? -
Good book
Good mc book liked the characters just a little confused because there is so much going on and alot unsaid.i wonder if there are books on the first generation because that would help out alot but still good book -
I really enjoyed this book. Good characters that are very likeable. The storyline is jam packed with action. A good twist at the end as well. Good chemistry between the characters. Excellent performance from Tanner.

Secrets
Driller and Pearls story was a pleasure to read. Father and daughter relationship are hard but knowing what Pearls dad and Drillers Uncle did to protect a small child. They have a hard road head but their love will see through -
This is the 1st book by Deja Voss nd I have to say I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly pleased that I got sucked into the world of The Dead Ringers and am looking forward to reading the rest.
