Desperate times call for a good SEAL.

Deb Jacobson’s job is stressful. So what if she blows off a little steam, right? But when she texts a risqué selfie to the SEAL she just met, she knows she should delete his contact and never speak to him again.

Killian “Slayer” Walsh doesn’t have entanglements and never gets involved with women, but having little Ella around has changed him. Deb was a surprise he wasn’t really looking for, that she makes him smile is a bonus.

Just when life calms for both of them, the danger in Deb’s job grows, leaving Slayer chasing to save her. He’s cutting it close, and if he hesitates, everything will fall apart.

A SEAL For Deb: Special Forces: Operation Alpha: Fighting for Home Book 2 is by Julia Bright. This book deals with abuse as well as kidnapping and sexual trade. It is a dark world that Deb enters.
Deb is a therapist who works with abused women and helps them find another place to live and gives them hope. However, she manages to get frightened when dealing with some of the men. She is walking through the zoo thinking about her job and the conference she is going to when a man swipes her purse. She has to have her ID to get on the plane tomorrow, so she follows him yelling. Killian “Slayer” Walsh, a NAVY SEAL, is walking towards the carpark with his friend’s daughter, Ella, when he hears the commotion behind him. He simply moved into the man’s way and knocks him down. However, when he yells at him, he frightens Ella and she starts crying. He has to soothe her before anything else happens. When he has her calmed down, he realizes the woman is beside him to thank him. Ella invites her to have lunch with them and she is thrilled when Deb does. The chemistry between Deb and Killian blossoms very fast and they immediately become an item.
What else can come between the two lovely people?

DNF. I really did try. But this was just cringe-worthy.

I get that they are quick reads... but does that really have to impact the characters so much? I think I know more about Ella than any of the other characters.

Also... the is a massive message coming across that when the male characters fuck anything that moves it is OK and expected... but when a female character does it? Skanky ho's r us. Double standards doubled down. Pisses me right off.

I think that Deb also ought to seek help with her alcohol problem... from what I have read, she seems very reliant on it. This is a slippery slope that will lead to nothing good.

This is where I leave this series.

“A SEAL for Deb” by Julia Bright is the second book in her Fighting For Home series. It is a case of instant attraction for Deb and Killian. Deb is a counsellor for victims of domestic violence. Killian is a Navy SEAL. They meet when Deb’s purse is stolen by a thief. Killian stops the guy and the thief is arrested. While this book could be enjoyed as a stand alone story, mention is made of people and situations from the previous book, “A SEAL for Candace”. Having read the first book I enjoyed reading more about the SEAL team, Candace and now Deb joining the group. Looking forward to reading how the other men meet their special loves and the circumstances involved.

I loved the story more towards the end. There's action and plenty of heat. Deb is a counselor and of course Killian is a Navy Seal. They meet in a strange way, but he's smitten right off the bat. The action takes off later in the book. There's a lot of interaction between these two in the first several chapters. HEA

    Action galore

This book kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish! I truly hope that there is more to this series

    Abused

Another thrilling ride in this series.
Slayer was just another Seal till he meet Deborah and fell head over heels.

    Not a favorite

The operation alpha books seem hit or miss. The dialogue in this one is cringe worthy. Every time the Male characters start talking my eyes start rolling. I struggled to get through this book, not the worst I have read, but not that good.

    Good story. Would read again.
