The Raven's Warning (Furyck Saga, #5) Reviews

I love Jael and Aleksander. I absolutely hate Eadmund, what a poor excuse of a human being. He has hurt so many people all his life. He is a selfish bastard who only feels sorry for himself and never cares for anyone else feelings or pain or about the truth. The author keeps making excuses for him but the reality is that he is just bastard

    Better than the last

I found the last one a slog, and when this one started off by adding yet another, villain in, I must admit, I rolled my eyes, but it was actually an enjoyable read. Much more believable with main characters dying in this one. I am glad Edmund is getting, at least a little bit, right.

    Worth the wait

Having previously enjoyed every book in this series, I am pleased to report that this book was not an exception.
The Raven's Warning was nicely paced and the scenes changed with the perfect amount of suspense that kept me from wanting to put the book down.
The characters were just as captivating as I remembered. Unfortunately, my memory isn't what it once was and that being said, I should have reread the previous book in the series first. Having a brief description of the minor characters listed would have been beneficial for me. Although, I was able to figure out most of their histories by the authors contextual clues.
I can't wait to let myself be absorbed in the next book!

Only one more book left 😰😭 I’m just not ready to leave this world!! I have a premature book hangover already.

Love Jael’s raven. They are one of my favorite birds. 🐦‍⬛

    Beyond my wildest expectations ❤️

The Raven’s Warning is the fifth book in the Furyck Saga and fans of the series are going to love it!!!! These are big books, but I couldn’t put it down and I kept sneaking off to read because I was so worried about Jael, Thorgils, Eadmund, Edela, Biddy, Axl, Fyn, Meena and the rest of this wonderfully written cast that I had to keep hiding away to read a few more chapters!! The way this author tells the story is unusual and the multiple POV story telling with so many characters gives the reader such an intense experience, seeing the drama unfold from every angle is so exciting and the constant twists in the plot had my jaw hanging open more than once. This book is an incredible read and I cannot wait for the next one. 5 stars 😁

This book had all my emotions going crazy. Twist and turns I was not expecting. Good verses evil. Can't wait for the next book!!

I'm not sure when I started this series, but when I did I immediately fell in love and couldn't read them fast enough. Somewhere in the middle however these big books just started to drag on. I'm not a big fan of consistently changing points of view as well. As we get farther and farther into the series there is more and more points of view and constant changing.

This book is better than the last few. despite the myriad of storylines and the ever changing scenes it felt more like the first book. the action was fast paced, there was no large lag in the middle.

I think with some longer and larger series I have trouble keeping connections with some characters. either the author writes them too perfect and they never seem to falter or they are the only who can ever fix things. usually I find that boring after a few books. Or the author takes a few interesting plot points and the characters make decisions that they, for me at least, cant come back from. In the beginning I had a difficult time connecting with Eadmund, and then after decision and decision of his I like him less and less. And I know that for this book and the last few he's been being control but I dont see my feelings turning around.

Jael on the other hand is a completely different story. She's such a well fleshed out character, she's diverse and not perfect. With the way they are both written I hate to say it but I wouldn't be heart broken if Eadmund met his end and she found someone more deserving.

I’ve consistently rated the Furyck Saga a 5, and I’d happily give The Ravens Warning a 10 if I could! These books are incredibly articulated and vivid, teleporting you into their fictional world - the only time I have truly felt this passionate about a storyline is when reading the Game Of Thrones and Harry Potter series.

The Ravens Warning is at the peak of the storyline which involves lots of blood, sweat and tears though not everyone will live to tell their tales, and the ones who do, will forever be traumatised by loss.

Ultimately the fifth instalment of the Furyck Saga focuses on bringing individual background story’s together and overlapping with the foreground main storyline, which sophisticatedly leads us into the sixth instalment.

I can’t wait for the next instalment ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A must read series, one of THE BEST epic storylines ever!!

This series, 'The Furyck Saga’ is one of THE best I've ever read. It's filled with some excellent characters and there's a lot of meat on the bones of these books, they're the right length and filled with so many twists & turns that will have you cheering, jeering, and sobbing in equal measure.

The only regret I have is that the books ended at all, but the story is truly epic & surpasses Game of Thrones and rivals Lord of the Ring in content, excitement & characters.

Be prepared to despise and love and lament in equal measure, but gift yourself this 6 book series, read our listened to in order - you'll be so glad you did!!

another great one - tons of developments, new shit happening, new wars/characters, old shit being resolved finally, constant battles and anxieties, etc.
similar to the last book where things are happening and put into motion for the next/last book and the end.
obviously invested in the characters at this point so a lot happened within families and stuff this book. Hasnt been much death of them in the first books, but more surprise deaths in this book which hit harder cause your more invested/love them.
a few things i didnt like and was annoyed with, but that happens in every book - but all the good shit in the book outweighs a few things I didn't agree with!
All in all still loving the series and cant wait to see how it all wraps up!

I haven't enjoyed a book in this series this much since the first one, Winter's Fury!

The entire story arc starts to come together at this point, and we see some truly significant results of decisions made early on in the books. But in particular, Jael's character gets even better for me. She's a warrior queen, but we also see how her sacrificial choices have taken an internal toll on her mind and heart. She's humanized on a whole new level, and she's made it into my top five protagonists of all time with this book—someone to look up to and root for.

Now, to wait a few weeks until the conclusion is released...

All I can say is wow

This series has taken another twist that wasn’t expected, although I can see how it would have been that way in reality. The characters have evolved into such depth that you really feel that they exist. The story line is compelling you to move forward and read the next page and the next. The villains keep coming up with new ideas to wreck havoc on the heroes. And the way the heroes mount the defense in a moment, just awesome. I finished the book knowing that I still have 1 to go and wondering if it will all come together and work out in the end. Oh what a great series!!

    Trigger Warning

As much as I like the series minus the unnecessary POVs. Right from book 1 there is a lot of rape and moments of recalling rapes. It only increases as the series progresses. So I just want readers to be aware that multiple people get sexually assaulted multiple times.

The series started going downhill for me. Jael continuously continues to fight for a man that cheats on her to the max. Blame the curse all you want still happens. They're relationship has very little depth so all this fighting for " us ' is just irrelevant. The story still has a great storyline to it with a lot of great action.

Just Awesome couldn't put it down!

I can't find anything that I didn't love about this series! It has everything action humor love loss heart and soul went into every word . The characters are so real that my kid's Heard me yelling and chearing and laughing and crying out loud and I haven't been this excited about a story in a long time. This story will become a part of you . A Movie could never do it justice but would love to see them try. I pray I don't have to wait to long to see finally

Fast paced EXCITING FULL OF SUSPENSE

I love A.E Rayne style of writing! She is as amazing as Jael!!
This book 5 was truly unpredictable and so many twists and turns. I waited at least 6 months to get this book after reading the other sagas over winter. It was worth the wait. I am truly thankful that these are books and not a TV series! I could never watch it with all the frightening creatures but I can read it! So if you have a problem with ancient scary creatures this book may not be for you but I have survived reading them without nightmares!

    Awesome - more please!

This review is for all of this saga up to this point so far... I seriously cannot wait for the next one. This story will book you slowly and will sneak into your thoughts until you give up and spend the entire weekend reading them. Or you stay up way too late and verbally abuse yourself in the morning for doing it! Go on, grab the books and remember...YOLO!

I have really enjoyed this series and I’m currently reading the last book. It’s light reading, with a lot of twists and turns but easy to keep up with. I normally don’t like excessive details of characters, landscapes and atmospheres, however, these books could have used a little more. For instance, I’m not sure what the main characters look like, except for the colors of hair, eyes and the basic body shapes...tall, thin, etc... The storyline is amazing so, it’s been fun!
