Growing up on the streets of Los Fortis, Alessandro 'Alpha' Villanova scrapped his way to the top, fighting for his very survival, losing everything in the process. A city that shunned him then is now the one he rules, albeit alone, as the king of a dark empire few know about.
Far from Alpha's world, Zephyr de la Vega has a normal life, normal family, normal drama. Her biggest problem is people trying to make her lose a few pounds. When a chance encounter puts her on his path, she makes a proposition that changes the course of their lives.
As a killer goes on a spree in Alpha's city, taking apart his scarred empire corpse by corpse, and The Syndicate comes into play, their partnership evolves into something deeper, more enduring, more powerful than either of them anticipated.
Evil ascends. Darkness descends.
A new order is born.

i am in shock… omfg…
ok so this book follows zephyr and alpha (yeah that’s his name) and the best way to describe this book is dark mafia romance + grumpy X sunshine + second chance + marriage of convenience all in one. and i fucking loved it.
now i’d say the underlying plot that connects all the books together was done the best in this one. i did not see shit from a mile away. the shit that was unraveled towards the end had me gasping out loud, smacking my hand to my forehead, and running it down my face.
zephyr and alpha..god i love them. it’s the way he’s so possessive over her and the way she teases him that gets to me. it’s like poking a bear with a stick, literally because apparently he’s this beast like man with a monstrous cock that you’re reminded about every few chapters.
zephyr is a fucking baddie and i love her. she’s so funny and side note but i loved the fact that she’s unapologetically a curvy woman. she’s lusted and pined after like she deserves.
and ngl the dante & amara cameos were one of my favorite parts. they are still my number 1💞💞💞 -
1.5⭐️
“I want to eat your smile, sunshine," he said against her mouth. "Swallow it whole and light up my insides with it.”
before any of y'all come for me, yes i'm shocked that i gave this book such a low rating. i've been waiting for this book for MONTHS and when the release date got delayed 6 times, i was like its ok because i love this series and it'll be worth it.
its not worth the wait. no where NEAR worth the wait. plot twist, nothing happened except for maybe the bonus epilogue and maybe the last 2 chapters in the book. but its predictable.
tropes
- insta love from the heroine
- amnesia
- slowburn for the hero
- grumpy/sunshine
- marriage of convenience
- hero celibate for a year before he sees her
- annoying heroine (yes this is a trope)
- second chance
- captive
i wanted to write a whole ass proper review for this book but listen this shit wasn't worth the read let alone to write a review.
anything beyond this point is a spoiler
lets start with our annoying heroine. bitch had it coming. not at one point did i feel bad for her. she was on my last nerve.
“He was her love-at-first-meeting. And she didn’t know who he was now, but he was hers. He’d always been hers.”
1. she basically knew from chapter 1, right after she jumped on him and kissed him, that he did not know her. yet she made it her mission for him to fall in love with her AGAIN.
“Because I've heard you haven't been with a woman in a while, Mr. Villanova. And you'd have me, and I'm fantastic in bed if I say so myself. I also have something of yours. And for six months of your life, I’ll return the secret back to you.” She leaned forward earnestly. “Be my husband, and I’m yours. You have nothing to lose, and so much to gain. I’ll happily be your friend, your lover, your wife, whatever you need.”
2. she was hella fucking desperate for his dick, this girl got on her knees and BEGGED him to suck him off. she begged him for everything. she was willing to do anything for this marriage too.
“God, she was a fool. An overemotional fool who attached herself too easily to hope.”
3. now the part where i lost it with her. this bitch knew he had amnesia, yet she got PISSED at him for not remembering her. excuse me, miss ???? she legit ghosted him because he wasn't feeling the same way. ya ma'am you had 10 years to love him and he doesn't even fucking know you bitch. and then she wouldn't fucking talk to him; therefore, HE had to fucking apologize to her... HE DOESNT KNOW YOU. i fucking can't stand this bitch. poor guy doesn't know what the fuck is going on.
“Poor man, he’d have to learn. She was a crier.”
anyway, im done with this bitch.
i did like some of the smut because the hero does say some nice things hence the +0.5 stars.
“Watch yourself be a little slut for me. Just for me,”
mmm, i'm a slut too.
anyway, if you are here for the plot twist, here you go:
am i still excited for the next book? yes. will i be waiting patiently? yes. i'm a whore for this series. -
I’ve been such a fan of this series. I really enjoyed the first three books despite its minor flaws. My problem with this one tho, is that I’ve put a lot of expectations on it. I was highly anticipating Alpha’s story and was so looking forward to the marriage of convenience trope.
Then it ended up being so different from what I thought it would be. In a way that wasn’t so interesting and didn’t really work for them. Their relationship was kinda insta-lovey and it kinda lacked the development I needed to see.
I really liked the crumbs of seeing all the other characters and I want more of Xander oh and baby tempest is such a cute addition. Anyways, I’m still excited for the next book. Hopefully we’d get all the answers.

I really like Alpha and his bois. I would LOVE to live at his palace. The men in these series just does it for me.
Can’t wait for the next book!
*******
So at this point I’m going to give this book no rating.
Only because it really depends on Tristan’s sister because I thought that was Zenith.
I throughly enjoyed it until that scene with the two sister and Hector. I hate Hector. That’s all for now. -

Ughh you know when you anticipate something for so long and it ends up being totally different than you thought but not in a good way?😩😩
To say i couldn't wait to read Alpha's story is not an exaggeration. 😭
This is a story about Dante's half brother Alpha and Zephyr who is a new h. From the first ch it's hinted that they've history together. But we don't see that, it's just told and all from Zephyr's perspective. That bugged me a lot. I feel like they had whole history together which we know nothing about except one poor written chapter🙄
So i have mixed thoghts about her.🙄“I’m in love with someone else.”
Even though he didn’t know it."
From the first ch she is already in love with Alpha and literally jumps and kisses him right away and then she proposes marriage in the second chapter.😂
This is somewhat marriage of convenience and tbh the lack of relationship development really bothered me when is said that she always loved him but we didn't even saw that!?"And let’s say, I strip you naked right here, right now, and press you against the window for the whole city to see while I pound you into the glass, you wouldn’t object?”
She dropped to her knees between his legs and looked up at him. "
Literally on page 50.Which again begged the question, why would a girl like Zephyr, from a seemingly good family and in complete contrast to his world, run to him, jump him, kiss him, and then get on her knees to pop a crazy question?
And honestly she acted very needy and desperate. and omg she was almost always crying😭😭😪 annoying, she was so damn annoying.
But girl was persistent and went for what she wanted so i'll give her that.
I liked that Alpha even tho was attracted to her didn't went all in or insta lusty and was still wary of her, avoiding her and not having sex immediatly.
I noticed the writing was improved but the lack of dialogue was still there. I feel like the long monologues were not necessary bc a lot of that was just repetitiveness and a lot of it was "told but not shown". Idk if that's bc of the 3rd pov which is not my personal fav.
Also it felt very different from the previous books and i was even surprised that is set in the same universe maybe bc it was very low on the mafia plot?
There was a background storyline of a serial killer killing prostitutes and framing the murders on Alpha which sounded very ominous and interesting but it wasn't developed at all!!
And i feel like i had the same problem like in the prevous books, everything happened in the end very fast but that plot twist really left me speechless. 🤯 zephyr sister(my theory was actually that she is Tristan sister, i'm glad i was wrong) and the killer revelation🤯 didn't expect that at all.
I loved the crumbs, seeing tristanmorana, danteamara and baby temperest🥺😍Lulu is adorable,” Morana gushed. “I’ve been trying to convince Tristan to get a cat.” “And failing,” Amara laughed.
Is he yours?” Zephyr asked. Morana looked too young to be a mother to a child his age. "No, but we might adopt him soon."
I want a novella just with Tristan, Morana and Xander😭
BUT THE ENDING WAS SO UNFINISHED😭😭😭 tbh i hated the ending, i have so many questions and this is a typical cash grab bc we need to read the next book to finally get some answers🙄 that ending alone deserved 1 star but i'm feeling generous just bc of these little breadcrumbs. If the next book is finally not about Tristan's sister i'll be really mad.

Okay but imagine this scenario: your grandmother left you an inheritance but you can only access to it if you get married before your 29th birthday. Wouldn't you propose to the most fearsome and mysterious man in town? I would definitely do it, seems like a good plan if you ask me!
"My sunshine. Lighting me up from the insides."
Tropes: marriage of convenience, grumpy-sunshine, dark underworld romance, second chance romance.
But how is it possible for this series to get better and better with each new book? I'm obsessed with this universe and how all the mystery fried my brain! and I just can't with how well planned this plot is to make all the pieces fall into place, that's an incredible job Runyx 👏🏼!!
This book left me completely speechless and I'm still trying to process everything that happened here. I knew I was gonna enjoy this because of the tropes but daaamn, the way I fell so easily for these characters and their romance? I didn't see that coming, and they fight extra hard to position themselves in my top 1 🤎. Zephyr was a breath of fresh air, and although she seemed like a sunny character most of the time, I couldn't help but relate to her, with the face she showed to others on the outside, but how she felt on the inside. And Alpha... a big, muscular teddy bear. could he kill you without giving it a second thought? yes, but a teddy bear anyway 🧸.
This book was literally a roller coaster of emotions because the banter between Zephyr and Alpha had me laughing and grinning like a fool, but the next moment they had me crying and I was like wtf?? how can a book manipulate my emotions so much? but it's okay, that just means to me that the story was amazing enough to touch my feelings. I really can't wait for what's to come 👀

EXCUSE ME?? what on earth just happened here?? no sorry, my brain is gonna need a few minutes to get over this book and all these revelations, but daaaamn! i honestly didn't expect this to hit so hard! -
* ੈ✩‧₊˚ RUNYX DOES IT AGAIN!
You know, she just keeps me on the edge of my seat dammit. I'm sitting down on bed, rolling over, lying down, I'm literally reading this book in any position because I cannot stay on one place for too long because the excitement, the intrigue, the scenes are all so !!! for me.
I had the time of my life during these weeks reading this series. I know, I know- I'm not done yet! I'm going to take a little break before I read The Annihilator. I'm going to read some other books I totally want to read as well before I read the next Dark Verse book. I just know it's going to hurt and it's gonna be pain pain pain lmao. So, I'm going to prepare myself first with some cute, fluffy reads!!!
Zephyr and Alpha were everything to me. I DIDNT KNOW THIS BOOK HAD AMNESIA TROPE???? Holy sht. It was intense, I WAS FEELING SO MUCH. Zephyr married Alpha in order to make him fall in love with her again. The paiiiiin when he was so cold with her and put her at a distance, and she felt like she would never reach him, that their love was doomed. I was bawling, my friends. I love when there is so much yearning... The second chance romance trope always delivers, it's the truth.
So yeah, this has a marriage of convenience between a sunshine girl and a beast of a man. It has amnesia trope! Second chance! He's so powerful in the mafia world. She's such a ball of sunshine who loves sitting on his lap and teasing him while he remains all grumpy and tries to not touch her because T E M P T A T I O N.
This book ends in a happily for now ending. Because RuNyx has said that their epilogue is going to be on the last book. Stuff has to happen before they get that happily ever after, so we have to wait for a bit! I'm excited that The Syndicater has everyone's POVs like YES TRISTAN, MORANA, DANTE, AMARA, ZEPHYR, ALPHA!!! (Yes, I have to meet The Shadowman and his love interest okayyyy). The Dark Verse series is one of the best mafia series ever. And it has a continous plotline so that's why you have to read it in order, because the plot follows along in the next book. You'll be confused if you start in a random book in the series. -
Honestly I expected to like this, but after reading I can only think that this series should have stopped in the second tristanmorana book. This was so boring, the heroine was getting on my nerves with the entire "Im gonna make him fall for me again" when she knew he didn't remeber her, it was so embarrassing to read. Alpha is hot and that's the only good thing about this book that I can list.
I'm glad to see Tristan, Morana, Dante and Amara again but ugh.. the rest is just awful, I'll probably read the last book but I'm not expecting much from it now.. this was just disappointing. -
Zephyr + Alpha all day every day MY BABIES I LOVE THEM SO MUCH😭🤍 but that ending… that sh!t hurt🥲 SO BAD 😭

⭐⭐⭐💫
This review is not an easy one to write, cause I'm really confused about my feelings here, i loved some things and didn't liked a few things, so bear with me on this one...
Let me start saying that i freaking loved Zephyr! Like 100% ! A real dark verse Queen!
She's such an incredible, sweet, empowered, fierce, independent and loving character!
I looooved her first encounter with Alpha!
She was a breath of fresh air into his dark and stagnant life!
Alpha is another amazing character and he's everything that i expected him to be... Dark, broody, grumpy, closed up, possessive and hot as hell!
They're the perfect match of sunshine, or in this case, rainbow girl and grumpy guy!
Their chemistry took a while to be set on fire, but after it did, it was out of chats!
I'm giving 5 stars for them and for the romance aspect of the story... They build up their connection and relationship in a very sweet and sexy way! I love it!
I can't forget to mention all the cameos with Dante/Amara/Tempest and Tristan Bae/Morana/Xander... I love them so much but i have to say... Dante was the one who made me swoon and my ovaries explode! Nothing like a hot mafia daddy, whipped for his girls!
What bothered me here to downgrade my rating was the lack of evolution on the plot... We don't have any moving forward on the Syndicate plot, as we had in the previous books... The whole book is focused on the romance only (not complaining about that). There's a bunch of holes that should be filled before the last book, so that one wouldn't be rushed. There's not much action, and a there's a couple of random events that ended without explanation or adding to the storyline.
I felt like there were important parts missing, and in the end, it was a bit rushed with no real conclusion...
There's also something in the end that didn't sit well with me, but i won't spoil it for anyone... After all, it's just a personal view.
That's just my opinion, and I still love the Dark Verse world!
Alpha and Zephyr are a great addiction to this group of badass couples and I can't wait for the last book!
I still highly recommend this series!

THIS BOOK.
THIS GODDAMN MOTHERFUCKING BOOK.
If y’all are hesitant about this series, it is not a let down.
I cannot wait to read the next book because it’s Shadow Mans and you just know shit is gonna hit the fan 100 times harder 😩 -
4 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“But you’re my wife now. Mine. And I’d bathe this whole city in blood before I let you change that.”
Ohhhhh The Finisher was an intense and dark book but with a heroine that was the embodiment of sunshine.
What to expect?
— Marriage of Convenience
— Second Chance
— Steamy
— Sunshine x Grumpy
— Close-proximity
— A sassy and adorable FMC
— MMC is a dog dad of three German shepherds
— Possessive Alpha Hero
— Murder mystery
— Secret underworld organizations
There were instances when I felt some scenes/events were rushed but man did that last 20% portion of the book almost turned me into a sobbing mess.
But I did love this book in a way and enjoyed the dynamic between the bubbly Zephyr and the stoic Alpha.
We get important answers and shocking revelations in this book and I'm absolutely terrified for what's in store for all the characters. This series keeps shredding my nerves and I don't think I'll have any by the end.
For content warnings, check the author's note at the beginning of the book. This is a dark series with darker themes, graphic violence and sexual content that might not be suitable for some readers. -
3.5 🌟
The final chapters were definitely the highlight of the book for me. The whole book I was thinking Zen might be someone else but the reality OH MY GOD. I'm so glad the plot is thickening.
I loved Zephyr. I could relate to her so much. I loved the fact that she knew what she wanted and fucking went for it. She was annoying at times, most times- did I say she's relatable? - especially when she would give in so easily to Alpha. I understand his aversion to Zee and her intentions. Their romance felt more forced to me than anything because of this.
Like with DanteAmara, I couldn't understand why Alpha fell for her the second time. Even the first time is still a mystery- THAT ONE CHAPTER WASN'T ENOUGH- and even that was a buzzkill- I WANTED TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THEIR PAST TOGETHER. Honestly, part of me thinks they both are better off without each other.
I couldn't care less for Alpha though the grump did make me soften up for him by the last chapter.
Overall, I did enjoy the book but idk ig I just had high expectations which I should know by now is a bad idea. -
Yea. I need a moment and then I’ll be back. Simply need to recover
-
We almost close to the end game with this series!!! And this one... this one broke me more then the other books... like I'm in tears writing this review!! Also this book isn't a standalone.. must read book 1..
I think Alpha and Zep are my favorite couple so far they are everything!! Zep is her own brand of sass and cute she knew her beast but her beast doesn't remember her. But that doesnt stop her from wanting a relationship with him. And what Zep wants she gets and boy Alpha was thrown for a loop with her. The no fear, sassyness sunshine she brings but our boy is putting up those walls.. they have amazing chemistry together!! And as for Alpha we finally get to know broody self and it was everything he is a great Hero.. with his own demons..
The banter, the sexual tension and the pain.. these two go though hurt like hell.. sometimes you wanna smack Alpha for what he puts Zephyr though.. and then hug him.. but beside their rocky relationship.. they still have outside drama that's coming for their family...we find out more of the Syndicate and the shadow man.. also a hint of the last couple..I can't wait for the next book..
Angst, no ow/ tiny om drama (an ex but it wasn't a big deal), no cheating, slight secondary character, drama, sexy times, no virgins no manwhore

Epilogue -
The Finisher is the 4th novel in the Dark Verse Series.
The book features Zephyr, 29 year old hair stylist who leads the most normal life out of anyone in this series. She has 2 normal parents and the most loving sister.
Alpha, our hero is a large one eyed fighter and also an ultra wealthy underground boss who essentially runs the city of Los Fortis. Alpha as we’ve read in The Emperor is also Dante’s half brother.
I won’t spoil anything however there are some twists and turns that leave you waiting for more. I liked the first part of the book much more than the last.
I liked Zephyr and Alpha. Zephyr is down to earth, nice and funny. She’s a wonderful heroine and so unique and entertaining. Alpha is sweet yet a big brute who acts cold in order to run his empire however has a soft side towards Zephyr.
The arranged marriage portion of the romance develops fairly quickly and the pacing is wonderful up until the middle where I felt the book dragged.
I wish the book was a bit more put together. I wish things moved faster. The end was so unexpected.
Old characters make small appearances in the book however it’s mainly Zephyr and Alpha adjusting to their new world as a married couple.
The book is overall great and I’m glad I read it. It’s cute and fun with the exception of certain parts.

I'll be honest and say I didn't know how I felt about reading about a new character we were barely introduced to in the last book but I'm glad I dived into it right after finishing The Emperor.
Alpha was....the ultimate protector. He was a beast to the world but the softest for her. I hated knowing he couldn't remember a thing about their past and she could remember every single memory and being heartbroken that his mind couldn't remember what they had shared 10 years ago. I loved their connection though and how it came to be.
It was even worse when we got to see how the past unravelled and what led to him disappearing from her life and he basically had no choice as he was attacked, drugged, and tortured. He forgot moments around that time and she included.
Hector did not under any circumstances seem evil to me or potentially the bad guy. I was SHOCKED and I mean SHOCKED when he was revealed to have been behind everything. The brutal murders, the plot to pin the murders on Alpha and working closely with The Syndicate. How disturbing must it be to his brother and Alpha knowing this man they trusted and were so close to could of been behind so much?
Zen...god her death was so not necessary. I get the reason in a way, but I also know that she deserved so much better. She is the original Morana and she knew it all along. Her character was such a breath of fresh air in the darkness of that world. I'll miss her.
We got to see a lot of Dante/Amara & Tristan/Morana. The end game is near, and I can sense the next book will include a lot of darker themes explored even more. We will finally know who is the Shadow man? Who is his toy that Hector broke? and what the fuck happened to Tristan's sister? How will they take down The Syndicate? Who are other players involved in this?
SO many questions and I can't wait to find out. -
Alpha isn’t all that alpha & I feel so bad for Z becuz I was embarrassed for her. To be in a relationship with someone who forgot about you, tryna win their love, and give you cold shoulder 24/7. That’s emotionally draining becuz I was drained tf out. He didn’t even apologize, did the bare minimum of groveling in 0.6 seconds, and you already gave in. Their chemistry was dry af. Also I find it funny how T + M & D + A got their HEA, but these two got a HFN - unfinished cliffy & sadly, A never recovered his memories. Runyx did her main characters so wrong by doing so many things gone wrong in this standalone. I hope the author knows she could have done better cuz this shit was weak af.
Anyway, are we thinking the same thing?! The Annihilator main heroine is Luna - aka Tristian’s sister?
**2.5 stars** -
“You’re a twisted beast. I’m a twisted beauty. We’re totally meant to be, handsome. It's written in the fairytales.”
Have you ever wondered what happens when a beast of blood finds a bride of light in the land of death? Because I’d say that another RuNyx masterpiece to the Dark Verse series comes to life.
From the very first chapter, I already knew this book would be pretty different from the previous ones. And not just because of the setting changes, everything feels different in this book.
Zephyr had me on my knees from the beginning. She's, as Alpha calls her, a rainbow person—with her always colored hair, she’s a virtuous, sweet, funny and happy soul. Being born and raised in the most common and great family ever, Zephyr is a pure hearted person who's incredibly strong, has all her values very defined and is always trying to help people. But she's got a secret—an old love that magically disappeared, then found his way back to her, even though he doesn't know that.
And Alpha, he's pretty much the opposite of his wife. I’ve been curious about him since his first appearance, and this book, even not answering all my questions yet, really made me understand him. Hit and broken by life so many times, Alessandro Villanova swears not to have a heart or feelings; he's a destruction machine, feared and respected in the underworld, and he's got his own secrets, too—some that even he can't remember.
The protagonists’ relationship had an easy and fun beginning nowadays—I mean, Zephyr has definitely lighted it up. They’re both from very different worlds and had to find a way of making it work. Zephyr’s feelings have been intense from the bottom and she was very invested in them, but the best part was to see the progression of Alpha’s feelings toward her and their relationship, once he denied he could have feelings at first.
After all, all I can say is that Alpha and Zephyr are perfect together. She was right all the way long—they were meant to be. Their past, their present and their future were, are and will always be connected, no matter what.
I got addicted and obsessed with A&Z's story from the very beginning and couldn't put it down and stop reading for a single second. Some questions we had from the first three books were answered, but many more emerged. And the side appearances of the characters we already knew and loved, and seeing all of them reunited, were just amazing. It was astounding to get to know all the ways they’re connected to the others and I’m very excited to see what book 5 holds for us.
And talking about book 5, what was that epilogue? You literally can't wait for that. It’s nothing I was expecting, and I am still so shocked, surprised and excited by it.
Anyways, I was already expecting to love this book, but I think that just not as much as I did. RuNyx's writing is something else. I don't think she can't write anything bad, and this book just showed me again how right I am. My mind is literally blowing with many more questions after finishing reading it, and I just really know how incredible the end of the series will be. I can’t wait to read it.

4.25/5⭐️
I put off reading this and i honestly don’t know why. it was an amazing read, i loved it so much. Zephyr was by far my favourite mc so far because she was just so funny and wonderful. i loved her connection with Alpha, it was just adorable. it was also amazing to see other characters as well. I had forgotten how much i missed them. they were PERFECT <3 now i’m gonna go read the fifth book!!! i’m so freaking excited. -
this series is just so addicting, i can’t.
dante is still my #1 but i loved alpha. he was giving very much broody, broken boy, grumpy like the hound from game of thrones. zee was a little annoying at times but overall, she was a really good match to his grumpiness.
def the spiciest book so far, like phewwwww pls amazon prime me an alpha. i really loved this one but the ending 😭 i just need everyone to be safe and happy ok. -
“You’re my wife now. Mine. And I’d bathe this whole city in blood before I let you change that.”
I absolutely was grinning through most of this book. Zephyr was such a relatable character to me. I loved her attitude, her thoughts and insecurities, and how she basically ignored all instructions Alpha would give her 🤣 and Alpha was just a total teddy bear hidden behind the beast. I was swooning over his grumpy ways. Going into the book I was completely not expecting the fact that characters have history together, one that when it came to light just made me root for them even more. My heart was breaking for Zee.
The ending of this book and the glimpses into what’s to come has me so excited for the conclusion to the Dark Verse Series. Can not wait to see Tristian and his reaction.
"Remember when I told you my heart was a dead scar tissue?" "Hmm." "I feel it pumping again with you. My lifeblood. My little rainbow." 🥺🥺🥺 -
so glad i have to read 2 more books to find out what the fuck is happening!! and one doesnt even have a release date 😭😭
kill me rn im sick of this but i need to know svshjdkfkgl -
I absolutely loved this book.
Let me tell you, this book started as light hearted, hilarious and cute but it was an illusion! It soon turned dark and then darker💔!
Zephyr!!!!!! Ufff, how I loved her! She was a hoot. Strong, impulsive, crazy, fearless, no filter and pure hearted with a huge capacity to love and forgive.
I loved how she handled a clueless but stubborn Alpha. She fought relentlessly for what she believed. The way she talked to Alpha-calling him ridiculous pet names, flirting with him endlessly in front of his men and manipulating him (in a good way) when he refuse to come closer to her. Ugh, I enjoyed it all so much.
I loved how amused and exasperated was a grumpy Alpha with Zephyr.
This is a grumpy x sunshine pair.
I didn’t like the twist in the end at all. It broke my heart! I don’t know how I read those parts. There are some questions unanswered and I hope all are resolved and explained in the next book.
Also Shadow man could’ve stopped so many deaths, in my opinion. I hated that he didn’t do enough. Maybe he had his reasons and they are explained in the next book. Otherwise I would be pissed!
Not standalone, safe, kindle Unlimited, and highly recommended.
Mind the triggers.
P.s I also want to read the Ravager’s books so bad. Tell me if it’s already out or not.
