4-4.5 ”Jagger and Ainslee” stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

”I pronounce you, husband and wife. You may kiss the bride,” the priest says.
“Fuck that!” We both say at the same time.
I flip Jagger the bird from under my veil, dropping my bouquet at his feet and I walk off. I feel something on my back, and I know his ass threw the bouquet at me.

This book was HILARIOUS. I mean the banter between the two MCs had me laughing out loud. I honestly didn’t expect it to be this good and entertaining but it sneaked up on me in a totally good way. Once I started reading it, I didn’t wanna stop and finished it in one seating. It was super steamy, funny, angsty, emotional and one of the best arranged marriage romance I have read to date. This author can write one sexy dirty talking hero and a heroine to match him with her spitfire attitude and craziness.

Jagger and Ainslee have known each other their whole lives hating each other. Their families are the founding members of the island they live on. They have a tradition of arrange marriage among the top families. They both are in love someone else but due to family pressure and also to save their lovers life they have to get married. I know it sounds crazy and even thought to myself how the author can make this work but surprisingly she did. The twists and turns shocked me every time and you’ll understand once you know that they really are prefect for each other.

”I don’t, I don’t care!” She says, but I can see that her resolve is breaking.
“You like the way I talk to you, Ains? You like how dirty I can get, don’t you? Do you want me to part those pretty lips with my dick? Both lips, actually. You’ve got a pretty pussy.”

Jagger was a complete asshole in the beginning but along the way I completely fell for him. He was sweet, caring and so protective of Ainslee. He was an possessive alpha all the way, the kind we love to read. I loved the cute little lessons he gave his wife, some were panty melting and others made me swoon.

”I said I know because you like me, Ains. You’ve always liked me.” He tells me, which shocks me to my core.
Jagger pulls me closer to him and this time, for the first time, I start the kiss. I kiss Jagger like he is the only man I’ll ever look at again. The only man I’ll learn to love for the rest of my life.

Ainslee was the perfect match for him. She could he badass at one time and completely vulnerable at others. She’s an influencer. Her childhood had ups and downs and so did jagger’s but I loved how they both became stronger cause of it.

I feel a tug on my hand and it brings me back, realizing that Jagger is with me. “My dick for your thoughts.”
I snicker while we walk through the house going to my dad’s office. “Really?” I look at Jagger.
Jagger smiles. “Fine, the tip then?”
“I shove at Jagger. “Stop playing.” I laugh.

Now the banter between the two was downright funny. In the beginning, they were at each other’s throat. I mean she literally kicked him at the altar right after they got married. Their story was fast paced. The sex between the two was filthy and so hot. They were fire together.

I also loved how they were able to mend their relationship with their parents. I am definitely intrigued to read their friend’s story and am going to as soon as they come out.

Give this author a try, you won’t be disappointed. ♥️

Free-Falling started out great. I loved the arranged marriage and I loved how much the couple seemed to hate each other. It was laugh out loud entertainment, unfortunately it went downhill real quick. The storyline was a complete mess filled to the brim with sex. The dialogue was super cheesy and honestly I skimmed towards the end. Another thing that annoyed me was the story ended with yet another sex scene. Sadly I don't think this author is for me.

This is my first time reading this author's work, and I was both surprised and mystified by her writing. It required some adjustment at first, but I eventually appreciated her very bold and straightforward writing style – laced with loads of sexual innuendos.

The main two characters had a compelling story – that was wrapped in love, understanding and hot intimacy.

The start of this novel was fast paced and comical. There is a great deal of detail about the characters and their history. I like that they had chemistry and I love that Jagger had a filthy mouth.

Ainslee at first was a Lil bit to reserve for my preference, but she did come around and I ended up liking her badass attitude and strong persona.

There was a some suspense, twist and loads of sexy times. The family drama was at times long winded however I ended very invested in the storyline and plot.

There were a few grammatical errors, but it didn’t distract away from the narrative.

Overall a read to curl up with and I definitely recommend.

Ainslee and Jagger are two unfortunate souls are forced to get married by their parents, though they're in love with other people. On their wedding day, I'd be lying if I said the wedding went off without a hitch. Between her cold feet and her forced walk down the aisle you feel the animosity. When the bride reaches the groom and vows are recited she's develops a bit of a hearing problem right before she's slated to say "I do." The hero prods her to respond and when they're hitched, the rings aren't placed gently on either of their fingers.

This is like no wedding I've ever heard of, they don't do anything by the book. As she acts out, Jagger makes it clear he has something that will keep her in line and she's open to the possibilities. These two try to co-exist and eventually they remember how things use to be when they were growing up. They were more friendly and somewhere along the line, it changed. Perhaps, because they both refuse to acknowledge--there's a very thin line between love and hate.

Jagger is hilarious and he has several funny scenes that I had to label ... LOL Moments!

    Highly Recommended: Read It!

    Was it really even hate?

Jagger and Ainslee thought that they hated each other. Turns out they didn’t, it was just Ainslee letting out the hurt she felt in her home and well Jagger lol was just an asshole who liked her but didn’t want to admit.
I’m happy that what they thought would be the worst thing that could happen to them (forced marriage) turned out to be the best thing of their lives.
When they finally confronted their feelings for each other, they both loved each other hard and who wouldn’t want to be Jagger’s pretty baby lol.
This was a beautiful love turn hate/ arranged marriage book, that I’d definitely recommend to book two in the series is written by another author which I’m about to soon read. I hope you guys enjoy this book as I did

    Man….

Oh man…. I really wanted to give this more stars BUT, I couldn’t. The relationship development was good. The storyline was good. The storytelling-Nope. Some of it just didn’t make since…

    The things:
-The H is OTT t and dominate and steam Rollie and I loved him.
-the h is strong but submissive for her man.
-it’s an arranged marriage that starts out bad and ends well. (The both love other people and have to marry or their families hurt those people)

    The other stuff:
-okay… some stuff threw me off. The h is all weak seeming and then BAM, we learn she’s next in line to run her dads mafia and she’s ready to be badass…. What?!
-then she has guns in like one scene in the book… but she’s next in line to run the mafia…😑
-then the h says her mother beat her and her dad knew and did nothing… then there’s a whole drama where her sad finds out and takes revenge on her mom…?
-the h has a heart condition that’s addressed in ONE section and that’s it. Not before or really afterwards.
    - Bedroom reversal- so he is dominate and take control most of the time but there’s a few scenes where she does and he lets her, which is ok. But THEN, he’s wanting her to choke him with a belt, or tie him down and ride him bc he likes pain…. Idk this to me was a big NO…. I like my alphas as ALPHAS. I don’t want you being choked out by your woman, like you do that to her or idk Something it bothered me
    - I skimmed most of this book after the halfway point just to read the conversations between the H and h. Their relationship was great but the storyline was BORING and a mess for me.

    AWESOME!!

The story of Jagger and Ainsley was an amazing story of !misguided animosity, betrayals and lies. Jagger and Ainsley think they hate each other but forget that love and hate are simply opposite sides of the same coin.

They came together in an arranged marriage only to find out the relationships they had before were not what they believed them to be.

It was a beautifully written story despite some typos that appeared. I would recommend this book to all of my book loving friends. Well done King Ellie!!

    Ainslee & Jagger

This book was recommended to me by Unique Words. This story is about a couple who is the definition of love and hate. Force to get married by both parents Ains and Jag have to now learn how to navigate their relationship they have a long history, a history of fighting. I thought this book had a lot of potential but it was lacking more character and plot development. I felt like right when I was getting to the heart of the story the characters would then be fucking. I mean who doesn't love hot sex scene but I felt it was at the expense of the overall arc. Having said all that I would say overall a good read and that I will be reading the next installment and that I hope that Mikos and Guiny story is told.

Jagger and Ainsley absolutely cracked me up. In the beginning of this book they hated each other and were fighting like cat's and dog's. It was hilarious. There were so many surprises in this story that it kept me very entertained and reading way past my bedtime. What an awesome enemies to lovers romance with five star steamy scenes.

I’ll be Jagger Liam Hanlon’s pretty baby any day of the week!!! Jagger is my kind of a-hole! How would u handle being in an arranged marriage? Ainslee handled way better than I could! Free Falling will have u reading to until the very last page. Friendly bantering, steamy scenes, and well deserved action... I love it, King Ellie!! Ainslee and Jagger supporting friends are so fabulous, I hope they get a story.. Mikonos! I would recommend this book! King Ellie never disappoints!

    A Love For Always!

Jagger & Ainslee, Have known each other all of their lives. And for reasons unknown Jagger and Ainslee both hate each other, to the point when Jager kisses her in front of her old boyfriend, that’s when the feelings between them start to change, for better or for worse, you’ll have to read the rest of the story to find out, and it’s well worth the read.

  • Lorice DeBlanc-Brim

    Love their story.

Jagger and Ainslee wedding was off the chain, memorable. Jagger is a foul mouth mofo but will not take crap from anyone. Ainslee is a powerhouse in her own skin but both have been hurt. They denied their attraction for one another until now.

  • Sonya Williams

    Well...

The plot along with twists and turns were magnificent! I can't wait for the next installment. However if I could have given itb4.5 stars, I would have.. Way too much sex. I found myself skipping pages towards the end.

    Jagger

Free falling for his pretty baby

Jagger Liam Hamlin was a nasty mouthed man. He and Ainslee Margot Bishop had an ongoing feud since they were young kids. They hated each other and fought all the time. Little did they know it was a cover-up for their real feelings. Those feelings came to the surface when they were forced into an arranged marriage. Other secrets are revealed in the marriage too. But there are some things that are not revealed in this book.

King Ellie wrote a story that was too raw for my liking. Jags was definitely a sex addict. There was just too much of it and not enough chemistry between Jagger and Ainslee. I didn't feel them. My preference would have been more substance to the drama. Regardless, I like the well-plotted unfolding drama. We still don't know what happened to Natasha, or why Jags and Ains were forced into an arranged marriage. We still don't know why Layla was hired to come into Jagger's life or why Guinevere was running from her father. It also was not mentioned if Mikonos and Guiny actually married. I guess we will find out in the sequel books.

  • DivasoftheSerengeti_Lioness

Let me start by saying that this book is HOT, so it is best that you are over 18 and read those warnings they put in the book. I totally enjoyed this one because Jagger and Ainslee are a mess (in a good way). From the wedding to the end, they had me cracking up at their antics and then fanning at their making up. This book also delves into lies that family with too much time and money can come up with. I highly recommend this book. It was great to me.

    Free- Falling

I immediately loved this book out the gate. The H&H had my laughing so hard at times that I almost couldn't breath. There were a lot or revelations I wasn't expecting. I have a feeling Mikonos's story might give Jagger's a run for his money. I'm so happy they got their HEA. I can't wait to read book 2 in this series.

This book was....I gave it a four because of the writing. It was amazing in itself and even though I didn’t like some parts, the author DID STATE that this might be upsetting to some so I took that into consideration while rating it.
The goods: like I said, the writing was awesome, made me feel like I was there with so much detail and feeling. The plot is met by a bunch of misunderstandings and misunderstood people. If you want a sappy book, this isn’t the one for you. It’s tough as nails and doesn’t care about your feelings in the matter. But it’s an interesting read nonetheless
The bads: good lord the bads! The leading lady is abused by her mom and the dad finds out waaaaay too damn late. There was still no answers as to why she was the way her mother was just that she was a killer of animals, kids, and an abuser towards her daughter. While reading it I just knew the plot twist would be “since the father had cheated on the wife with a “pure blood” (which to me sounded dumb af as to why they only wanted mixed people but ok, go off on the mixed fetish sis!) and fell in love with her. The lady became pregnant and to get back at her, the mom took her child and raised her as her own while having the lady be there as the help (which would be easier to recognize because the leading lady’s middle name was her nanny’s name aka the love of her fathers life) to punish her and the father as well, abused her and called her all kinds of whores because that’s what she thought of the real mom” that plot seemed more plausible to me but NOPE!
The one that the leading male thought he loved was paid to be with him and the leading lady goes and threatens her, uhhh I’m sorry ma’am! Why would you do that to someone who came from nothing a knew that she was being fucked over by other people if she didn’t go with it in the first place? And on top of that you did it to someone you KNEW couldn’t hurt you back?! And didn’t have that same energy for your ex and ex bestie who we all know was the ex bestie sending her hate mail?! Weak bitch shit. And they both got off on her recounting what she had done to her (literally) like I said WEAK. BITCH. SHIT. They was Bonnie and clyding it meh! See! Now I gotta give it a damn 3 stars cause that just mad me more mad 😠 Lol no I’m not, the author did say it would be triggering so I took my feelings aside and realized that the leading couple has their faults and they’re no perfect at all. I just wished they would actually grow from it instead of taking the routes they did

Love though the test of time.

When you fall in love, they say its the happiest day of your life.

Not for these two. "Jagger Hanlon and “Ainslee Bishop,” Define the words "MATCH MADE IN HELL"

OMG, What a way to get Married. These two took the cake when they said "I Do". I was literally rolling on the floor with“Ainslee and Jagger" got married.

Who throws there Bouquet on the floor, and have the Groom toss them back at you. Lord they had me HOWLING ON THE FLOOR.

My girl then climbed Jaggar, like he was Mount Olympus. As she proceeded to pull his Hair.

Only Ellie can start of a story this Cray and Violent.

But the the two did a one hundred degree turn in thier relationship.

Once there was hate then it turned into a love like none other.

The fights and the make up sex had me shivering in ecstasy with Ainslee as Jagger laid it on my Girl.

The way these two talk to each other and Sexual Hot chemistry between Jagger and Ainsle, it was EXPLOSIVE.

The cast of Characters was freaking Awesome. I can't wait to see her Brother and cousin story.

If its is as Hot as Ainslee and Jagger story, I'm all in.

It started out really great. I loved how the haters aspect was reciprocated. The wedding scene started the book got me hooked from the beginning, but it really went downhill for me after that. It felt like there was another storyline attached to the story or like I was supposed to have read other books to fully understand what was happening (the characters would say stuff as it had already been explained, but it wasn't). Also, the romance aspect was really rushed.... Well actually, EVERYTHING was really rushed🥴 There wasn't really any build up to anything. There wasn't any substance. And tbh, I don't have the patience to keep reading to see if it'll change rn. 😅
Disclaimer: This my first book by this author, so Idk how her other books fair in comparaison, but I don't think I'll be reading anything else by her

  • Courtnee Howell

    Hmm

Ainslee Bishops and Jagger Hamlon absolutely hate each other, but they’ve been betrothed since birth so they’re stuck. Things aren’t always what they seem though, so Ainslee and Jagger may just have a chance.

I feel like the author told me more than she showed me, and not in a good way. There didn’t seem to be a lot of transitions in this book, things just seemed to happen as they came. I know that we want villains to be villains, but I would have appreciated some explanations from the villains we got.

The sex was hot, don’t get me wrong, but it was pretty angry in the beginning, so be aware of that. There are definitely some eye-brow-raising moments that, again, we don’t get full answers for.

To my memory, King Ellie was a recommendation from my reading group, but this wasn’t to her credit in my opinion. Still, if you like hot sex and drama for the sake of drama, then this one is for you.

Not bad, could have been great 3.5 stars

I like the progression of Jagger and Ainslee’s relationship. They were both good protagonists. However, the book lacked context. For instance, why did they have to get married? It was glossed over? Who are the founding families, how does it work? Who is Mykonos to Ainslee? Why does he call her dad Papà? Why did Mykonos had to marry Guinevere? The explanation was murky. Oran is Jagger best friend but we have no background on how they met. Same thing, Jagger is rich, we know about his investments but what does the family company do and why is he now CEO?
