Magic is a universal force but how we access and use it is deeply personal. The 24th annual edition of Friday Gladheart's beloved almanac is focused on crafting your magic. Special planner pages, worksheets, and articles are included to help you achieve your goals, discover your hidden talents, and explore the awe-inspiring beauty of nature, no matter what kind of magic you practice. The projects, articles, and ideas will motivate you to hone your witchy skills no matter your current level of expertise, including divination (tarot, runes, pendulum), herbalism & wortcunning, and using nature's gifts of stones, crystals, and minerals. It can also be used as a companion study guide to the traditional "year and a day" of study prior to initiation or solitary dedication. And as always, it contains astrological and astronomical information, moon phases, trivia, recipes, Sabbats, historical tidbits, and everything you need to get you in touch with the Practical Witch within you.

Practical Witch's Almanac 2021: Crafting Your Magic Reviews

Edit: My favorite parts are the different alphabets and runes. A nice overview of the year and resource. My only wish is that the Connect & Sync page had been at the front of the almanac. I read it chronologically, so I didn’t find out about the extra resources and monthly options until December!

Original review: This will probably take me all year to read, as it's organized by month and has tidbits related to each month. :)

Purchased from their website, this is a great book for anyone to have. Filled with fun facts, recipes, ways to celebrate the Sabbats, how to create your own magick, visual exercises, spells, puzzles in the back for extra fun, planner for the year, study guide and so much more. Must have for any witch rather a beginner or more advanced.

ITS BACK! And better than ever. This year's almanac is so jam packed with practical wisdoms that the inside of the back cover had to be utilized. Way easier to read. As always the best modern pagan art and design the world over very inspired and inspiring. Awaken a new awe and wonder from within this coming year.

I bought this book last year, because I couldn't resist the beautiful cover. I got some as gifts for friends, too. And I read it along with the passing months of the year. The layout is great, with each month overview at the start, with holidays, memorable dates and observances, a study guide, and daily moon phases with room for quick notes.

The following right-facing pages list the calendar days with astrological symbols and observances, and each left page of the month has a craft, divination, or spell.

I believe this covers a lot of history and practice variation, while also being simple enough to understand for newbies. There was little I hadn't learned or read before here, but I still enjoyed this author's take on the craft and its history. Lots of reminders for those of us who've been around a while, but, perhaps, haven't delved into certain practices or rituals.

There's no suggested resource list to speak of, which I think is fair- go find your own study materials for runes and whatnot!- but also could be useful for so many.

I didn't realize there were extras in the back of the book until I got there; crossword puzzles! Social media links, space for a yearly planner (should I have planned 2021 there? Or shall I now use it for heading into 2022?), a glossary, moon charts, and an index. Useful.

This would be a great gift for someone new to Magick or who wants to reconnect with their practice.

Did some of the spells and recipes. The kids really like doing them with me. Fun, but keeping it for a year is a little much
