Romantic Home Sewing: Cottage-Style Projects to Stitch for the Home Reviews
-
beautiful, sweet fabric - mostly red and white or blue and white - vintage style - very simple, quick projects for home. Just not favourite of patterns needed to be enlarge!

Not the best craft book out there, but I managed to pull 4 or 5 ideas from it. I do like the style of the book, or the layout rather. It shows you all the pictures at the front and you can just glance through the finished products to see what you like. Then, if you see something you like, it tells you what page to find the instructions on. I find that it's a lot easier to look at that sort of a layout rather than looking through the entire set of directions before you see the final product and discover you don't like it at all and have to move on to the next set of directions to see if you'll want to copy them!

I made the cosmetics bag and the bucket bag. Both were easy projects, but you need to enlarge the patterns. That wasn't too complicated either. Even if you're not into the shabby chic color palate, the designs are classic and basic and there are pictures of each one along with directions.

I love this book, if you love shabby chic its a must have the pages are just so beautiful
-
Charming projects and easy instructions - loved it.
-
Pretty, but predictable, projects.
-
Unimaginative and repetitive
-
Pretty fabrics. Simple projects. Nothing very astounding, but a nice book to look at.

Eh, the projects are really basic and the pictures are uninspiring. There's a few cool patterns for shoulder bags, but nothing you can't find elsewhere.
