Born on Christmas, Angela Stark has always hated the holiday. Bad things always seem to happen and this year is no exception when she is fired and evicted on the first day of December.
She was living and working as a maid in San Francisco. Who will hire her at this time of year, especially if they learn why she was fired?
Her only family is Sam, an elderly, and quite vocal orange cat. Her only option is to stay temporarily with her best friend Jane, but she is extremely allergic to cats. It’s not ideal, but it doesn’t look like she has a choice, until a certified letter arrives that changes everything.
The next thing she knows, she and Sam are flying to Nantucket, a place they’ve never been before.
It’s meant to be a temporary visit. But then Angela meets the Hodges family and friends and begins to question where home really is.
Nantucket White Christmas (Nantucket Beach Plum Cove, #3) Reviews

I’m not a fan of the sappy love story, so I knew what I was getting into. I thought the plot of the story was great, but I would wish for some type of plot twist. The writing was lacking. It felt natural like you were speaking with a person, but you expect more from a book. I almost gave it two stars for the glaring mistake when referring to It’s A Wonderful Life. The angel was Clarence not Clyde. All you had to do is read the cover. It seemed self edited.

Angela Stark is down on her luck. She’s behind on rent for her apartment in San Francisco, her roommate bails on her, she can’t get hired in her field, and she’s facing an eviction. So when she gets the news that a grandmother she never knew about has left her a multi-million dollar house in Nantucket, along with a sizeable bank account, it’s a Christmas miracle. She immediately travels to Nantucket along with her cat. When she gets there, she immediate meets people who take her into their friend group and she’s able to find work cleaning houses. She makes friends with a local writer, Felipe, who is also a lover of cats. This is a cute novella length read that follows a Hallmark-esque plotline. If you enjoy those movies and themes (I love them!), this is the sort of book for you!

Just an adorable series.

UMM I don't know what to say. I was scrolling through Hoopla, saw this book, and I thought it sounded cute. I listened to it today because I'm taking a break from my HP reread and was in the mood for a Christmas story. I will say this is a Christmas story but sadly it is like Hallmark decided to write a book based on one of their many cliche movies. They were friends until the last 4 minutes of the 4-hour long audiobook. The plot was boring and none of the characters had prevalent personalities. It was like the whitest book ever and I'm saying that as a white person. Like if you could take every white person stereotype and somehow put it in a book than you have "Nantucket White Christmas". The author really thought she was sneaky putting a snowy background as the cover of this book when we all know the "White" in the title is for all the characters. Instead of the "feel-good", I was promised I got nothing. No emotion. No connection to ANYTHING in the story except for the main character's cat named Sam. I'm slightly dead inside and could have watched a Hallmark movie in the time I used to listen to this audiobook.

This was so much more than a holiday read. I loved Angela and Philippe so much and I really enjoyed their story. This is a small community I would love to live in and call all the characters my friends.
This is a must read. It is book three in A Beach Plum Cove series. -
The same vanilla story regurgitated over and over, but it's cute enough and I know what I'm getting in to with these kinds of reads.

I was misled by the positive reviews here, so although I don't like to dwell on the negative I feel like I have to say something. This book was extremely Not Good. The actual plot is a cute idea and under other circumstances I think I would really enjoy it as a feel-good Christmas story set on my favorite place on earth, but I couldn't get past the writing. There were very simple errors like, "he immediate wrote back" instead of "immediately." Also things like, "I'd love for that to happen, I just don't see it happening."
If you can get past the writing I think this could be an enjoyable Christmas story for you, but it didn't do it for me. -
Disappointing
I read the first Nantucket book and really enjoyed it. The second in the series was so so. This book was pure junk. Poorly written, very little character development...like it was written over a weekend. A very shallow book. I won’t be buying any more of this series. -
I enjoyed the story which is the third of the Plum Cove series. It is enjoyable to catch-up with the family members and friends. Although this is a fast and light read, it was disappointing to see the number of typos and even a wrong name used. Sometimes reading a series like this feels like the book is rushed to complete and publish. A shame as I do like the way the author writes and there is always good food that is detailed in each book!!

White Christmas at nantucket
Easy, feel good storyline is right. Love these stories. It makes me want to visit Nantucket!! Keep on writing and I'll keep reading. -
Light, and entertaining. I used this book as a break from all the dark things I have been reading of late, and it worked.
-
I was looking for a light holiday read. This was definitely that. Writing was simplistic. Ending was rushed.

Christmas is basically around the corner, right?
Even though I dove into this series out of order, accidentally - I swear!, I kind of liked Nantucket White Christmas. It's probably due to hating summer so freaking much and just wanting cooler weather ASAP. There were a couple of things that kind of bothered me but I think that's probably due to jumping into book 3 instead of book 1. So maybe, just maybe, things will make sense once I finish the previous two books.
As for the romance? Well, eh, it took me a while to get into. I honestly don't know why because this definitely gave me Hallmark movie vibes and I tend to like their Christmas/Holiday movies. But for some weird ass reason, I just couldn't get into it. Maybe it's because they lacked connection or I just couldn't connect with them emotionally or romantically.
Then there's other mistakes like editing or movie references that were completely wrong. Yeah, it annoyed me but those are things that I could (sort of) easily look over if I was enjoying the book. Other than that, the ending definitely felt rushed but it was a short holiday book. So I can't really be mad about that.
Maybe the other two will be better.. so I guess I'm off to figure that out for myself. -
What a fabulous book! Great cast of characters that draw you not the story. Looks bed them all except for that Jessica. Could not stand her.
A heartwarming Christmas story. I so hated to see it end. -
This lovely Christmas romance is a quick read. It centers on a new character to the series, Angela. She inherits her grandmother’s home in Nantucket, and plans on repairing the house and selling it. She didn’t plan on falling in love with the area, or making so many new friends. She will have to make a life-changing decision, whether to return to San Francisco and her life there, or remain in Nantucket. There are also some changes in the lives of a couple of the main characters, and I suspect readers will learn more about them in future books. This was mostly a happy and light-hearted tale, but there was a dark cloud hovering over one particular character. Still, it’s a good choice for a happy Christmas story.

This might be my favorite of Pamela Kelley's Nantucket series. I enjoyed the others but always had trouble keeping the Hodges children straight in my mind - which artist was dating which author or vice versa. I liked that this book introduced a new character whose path crossed with characters met in earlier books but having the focus on one person made the story a lot less diluted. My only complaint? That it was too short! I could have read another hour or so of these characters!

I read all four books in the series in 6 days. Work was the only thing that kept me from not finishing them faster. They were very entertaining and I enjoyed all the characters. I’m always up for a light beach town series with recurring warm, fun characters that feel like they are your neighbors by the time you are done reading. I can’t tell you which book was my favorite because they all blended together as if they were one.

Love the characters
This is the third book in the series and the characters are so real... This series was a lucky find.. My only regret is that the editors did somewhat iffy job of editing.. The story and characters are strong on their own , so it was a surprise to see the editing errors. 5 stars for story and characters... 3 stars for the editors.. -
Nantucket for Christmas
This is one of my favorite new series for this year. All three books have been enchanting and have been a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Looking forward to the next book! -
Wonderful Christmas story
Nantucket White Christmas by Pamela M Kelley is the third book in the Nantucket Beach Plum Cove series. It is just as good as the first two. I definitely recommend this series. -
I love this series, the author has a natural way of making you feel (as the reader), that you are amongst the chaos.
Book 3, did not disappoint. A Nantucket White Christmas was the perfect read around the holidays. I can’t wait for book number 4! -
If you’re not a lobotomized, day-drinking housewife, you probably won’t enjoy this book. It sticks to standard romance tropes but all the characters are profoundly boring and the prose brings a definitive lack of joy to everything Pamela Kelley describes (or fails to describe).

My thoughts: 🔖Before I even started, I had to backtrack to the cover page to be sure. I'm happy to announce that there is no spoiler introduction page.
🔖19 of 225 second page of Ch. 3 - Just stopping to whine. Oliva Stark is now Estelle Stark, pet peeve of mine.
This story wasn't amazing and even had some continuity issues, but I loved it. The main issue in this series is that people go from -2 to 10 within months. But it's popcorn romance, so it's a little expected. I'll give them a pass on that. I just don't like that everyone does it; mix it up a little.
Recommend to others?: Yes. This was a good, predictable story. I'm looking forward to the next one. -
I love this series....It's simple and sweet and makes me happy!

This sucked me right in!
I read this in one day but that’s normal for me. I love the characters. I loved the story line and I’m on to book 4 now!
