So, how do you hold on to love when you're 5,000 miles apart?

Ginny
I came to the bright lights of London to surprise Tristan.
But I'm heartbroken to find him in the arms of another woman.
Now I must decide, once and for all, if I'm willing to fight for him.
Or walk away and never look back.

Tristan
I've followed my heart back across the Atlantic to Ginny in L.A.
It's all been a misunderstanding, but she's in no mood for apologies.
To make matters worse, my she-devil ex lands a top job at Armstrong USA.
She's putting the moves on, but there's only one girl for me.

Until a family tragedy tears us apart again.
Will we ever find lasting happiness?
Can our love survive another separation?
Or must we accept that we just weren't meant to be together?

Oceans Apart, #2 Reviews

Damn that ocean is still getting in the way of love. Well that and Tristan's ass of a father isn't helping much either. Do not read this review if you haven't read book 1 as it may contain slight spoilers.

We start boot 2 with a hot solo scene from Tristan and realize that we are with him as he makes his way back to L.A. to surprise Ginny. The first chapter lets us know what was running through his mind when he hears Ginny and the ex on the other side of the door how we left them in the first book. I love that Tristan is a bit of an undercover bad ass. It sounds like he is mostly in suits, so others really can't get a good picture of what he's hiding under there.

So Ginny and Tristan get things squared away with her past and work on moving forward. Granted he is only there for a week, however they have some real sex to get to this trip. Tristan is a tease and draws out the first time for them-which was fantastic, but of course it all comes to a screeching halt.

Besides the 5,000 miles that separates this cute couple and the exes, there is also Tristan's dad who likes to shoot off his big mouth. I don't remember how old Tristan is, but I think at least 30 and doesn't want to worry about dear old dad. Easier said than done when there is a legacy and boat load of money to worry about. After their fantastic night together, his dad barges in, starts spouting off and Ginny bolts. Tristan's dad wants him to marry a "proper" girl like Vanessa, one who comes from money.

Now Ginny doesn't know if Tristan's feelings are real or if she is just a quick L.A. hookup when he's in town and doesn't wait to find out. Ginny leaves him without a goodbye and he has to go back to London. Lots o miss communication ensues and we are again left with the mother of all cliffhangers. I actually said "oh no" after the last sentence of book 2, as Tristan is going to have lots of explaining to do in book 3. The book is a well written, sexy, quick read and I am patiently waiting for the next one.

Wow, this book took off right where the first one left off and it didn't disappoint me!

This is a beautiful love story between a couple who are having a long distance relationship, which starts off as friendship but quickly evolves into more through Skype and texts.

Trenton feels trapped with wanting to please his father and wanting to be with the woman he has deep feelings for that lives on the other side of the ocean.

He has to come to a decision on whether he can make that relationship work or keep pleasing his father, up until his mother has a chat with him and tells him a little secret that she's been holding forever. She tells him to choose wisely. What will Trenton do? Will he follow his heart or will he lose the woman he has fallen for to keep pleasing his father?

This was a great short read. I love this story!

I can't wait to read what's going to happen between Ginny and Trenton. I Love how Ms. Heartley leaves these cliffy's -- always leaving you wanting more.

This was a five star read for me and can't wait to continue reading about this lovely couple.

Ginny and Tristan's love for one another continues to grow, inspite of obstacles from family, and former lovers. Good book, well written!

I loved this book, I love this series. Tristan is so sexy and sweet, and I love how he talks to Ginny. I love how he makes her feel good about her self when she is so worried that she is fat and he won't find her sexy. I thought it was great how he was surprising her but boy did he ever get quite the surprise. Ginny's ex is crazy and I do wonder if he is going to cause them trouble in the future. I like how they can hold a conversation, just spend hours talking and joking with each other, it just shows how much they should be together. Their first kiss was beautiful and I liked how she swooned over him. I thought it was so cute how they fell asleep together on her couch and I loved how this night made Tristan sure of his feelings for her. Their first attempt to have a night together was hot even though it didn't go quite the way Tristan expected. How he had to fumble around trying to clean up a "mess" made me laugh out loud. Then he more then made up for it when he made her scream his name. When they went to his hotel room the scene got hot fast and it stayed sizzling hot all night long. I could relate to how Ginny felt self conscious about her weight, whether she was too heavy for Tristan to hold up or to have her on top but he always said the right thing,"Ginny, you aren't heavy, you're beautiful". Then he is tracing his fingers across her breasts and down her tummy. "You're perfect, Ginny. Look" "Look at the way your stomach curves into your hips" "I love your thick creamy thighs" "The curves of your belly, the softness of your skin" he made her feel so special. This night between them was perfect then it all fell apart because of his father. I hated how hurt Ginny was, my heart was breaking, I was surprised that Tristan did not realize why Ginny ran out, why did he not go after her? Why return home without clearing things up? I don't like how Tristan does everything his father tells him to. I was so happy when Ginny finally talked to Tristan and they shared some of their feelings for each other. Then things got all screwed up again, One person overreacts and becomes too impatient and the other forgot their phone ugh. I hate when someone misses another by a few lousy minutes, it is so frustrating. The ending is confusing to me, why would Vanessa be moving??? I hate having to wait for book 3, I miss Tristan and Ginny already.

Ginny is surprised to find her favorite Brit is back in LA! He's here on business but fully intends to mix business with some heart-stopping, curvy, pleasure! Things heat up for Ginny and Tristan in this second book of the Oceans Apart series. Ginny is already feeling more than she should for her hunky Brit, and after a run in with his father, he tears her new world apart. Why would his father lie? Has Tristan been lying to her all along? Is she making more of this "thing" they have going than she should? You will have to read this installment to find out those answers!! And it is so good! I loved this book and love both Ginny and Tristan! The story is very believable and I can totally relate. The steamy sex scenes are on fire! Smoking hot Brit and curvy girl, Whew! I need an iceberg!! I want more page turning excitement!! Bring it on Amanda! I can't wait! I need the next book now!!!

This book was given to me by the author for the express purpose of an honest review. The opinions and rating are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.

This picks up where book one ended. With Tristan at Ginny’s door and ex-boyfriend Brad being the douche that he is, Tristan handles him like a champ. While Tristan is in L.A. for a week with meetings, he has a little time to spend with Ginny. They are growing closer and closer and the feelings are getting stronger. Until his father shows up after their perfect night together and has Ginny running home without a word to Tristan. Heading back to England, Tristan sends messages and emails to Ginny but she will not talk to him. He is lost and his mind in filled with thoughts of her. This story keeps getting better and better and will have you on the edge of your seat and saying WHAT? by the time the end comes. I need book 3 NOW! The ending is a killer and makes me want to pull my hair out while screaming NO, you can’t end it that way. A great addition to an awesome series.

I received a free copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

Whew, it starts out SMOKIN hot with Tristan dreaming of Ginny, sweet, hot sexy dreams...
Tristan and Ginny are trying to get together physically on this trip to the States, instead of Skype sexing...but oh, one pitfall after another!
Amanda Heartley writes sexy SO well! Love her characters, the way the story flows, and yes, even the cliffhangers!
Can't wait for the 3rd installment!

  • Kelly Yekel

I was given this Arc of Oceans Apart 2, in return for a honestof a review!
    AMAZING!
Tristan and Ginny are a one of a kind love that many can only wish to have. Tristan's egotistical a-hole of a father needs knocked down a whole lot of pegs. But I have a strong faith that these two lovers Will find away and be together happily. Wonderful as always!

  • Juli Hall

Absolutely loved it! This series is a story about a long distance relationship and the trials and tribulations that comes with it. Awesome cliffhanger. Can't wait for the next book.

  • Danielle Harris

This is the second book in the Oceans Apart series and I loved it. Can Ginny and Tristan get past the misunderstandings and the family interference?

    I reviewed this book here:
    http://superbookgrl13.blogspot.com/20...

The thing that I like most about this book? Tristan and his bloody wanker and knickers and London-speak. I like that he speaks his way, she speaks her way and its a nice separate blend. I like that the characters joke about it.

Ginny..I didn't like her in this book. She aggravated the toots out of me, mostly because it was the whole run and don't talk thing... overhear something and run, don't have an answer right away? run. I just wanted to reach through the book and shake her and be like, man up you bloody wanker!

I think what impresses me about this author, is that when she switches viewpoints (which normally drives me batty, alternating POVs I mean) she does it in this awesome way, when it jumps from Gin to Tristan or vice versa, most of the time, she rewinds instead of picking up right where the other character left off, she goes back in time a little bit, like if Ginny and Tristan were on a date, and Ginny just did something, then it switches to Tristan it went back in time to planning the date, and everything he was thinking, right up until the moment that Ginny did something, then continues on, and it is done in a smooth tasteful way, that didn't leave me feeling like I just read something twice.

The ending wasn't as cliffhangerish, it kinda confused me because on one hand I was like, "of course she is" but on the other hand I was like "but why, no one else has mentioned doing the same thing?"

I tried to word that without revealing spoilers LOL.

*When Tristain surprises Ginny by arriving at her flat, it is he that is surprised as we walks in to find Brad attacking Ginny. Brad refuses to leave until Tristian hits him and threatens him.

After this happens Tristian realizes that he has real feelings for Ginny but he doesn't know if they could work because of the distance between them.

Ginny feels insecure because nothing has happened between them apart from one kiss, causing Ginny to believe she is just a 'quick lay' whilst he is in LA. After Kari convinces her she is being silly she agrees to stay the night with Tristian in his hotel room. What happens next? You will find out what exciting twist this Author brings in in the Story

Another great book, by this talented author WOW you can practically feel the passion between Tristian and Ginny. It is clear that they both obviously love each other but they won't admit it.

This book leaves you desperate to read the next one. And you will. I enjoyed it so much.

I loved this book and would highly recommend it to others.

  • Romance

Oceans Apart pt.2 was a roller coaster of highs and lows. It starts at the end of pt.1 where it was left at a huge cliffhanger. Her man comes to save her without even knowing she needed it. They enjoy the time they make to see each other and it just makes them see that they are falling harder everyday. When they get to the point where they are ready to commit they hit the bumps in the ride that throw them off track with each other. They end up in the same place at the same time and they don't even know it. Both heart broken and ready to fight for each other they are left waiting. Let's hope Oceans Apart pt.3 comes fast, we are ready.

  • Jolene

This did start off where the 1st one left off but things felt rushed and not explained. Brad puts her phone in his pocket but there's no mention of Gin getting it back or replacing. What about the bug Brad had in her room, did she find it.... The scene wasn't set out realistic, the police should have been called or there should have been more to the whole 'stalker' and his actions. Another short read but wasn't as good as the 1st book. Ending leaves you wanting to continue to the 3rd book to find out what happens next.

  • Amanda Heartley

Is there more to this romance than sexy texts and hot, nasty Skype sessions?

Tristan and Ginny's virtual romance is taken to the next level of reality. Things get real with him visiting her in the States, while there on business with his father.

Can their love survive the 5,000 miles between them?

  • Angela

    Totally loving every word!

I started with the nine piece first book series and fell in love with Ginny & Tristan in Oceans
Apart. I read 1&2 and am hooked on their love story! You'll find yourself rooting for them and the cliffhangers leave you without choice but to buy the next book...and it's worth it, every time!

  • Sherry Hurley

    Keeps me guessing

This next book was even better than the first and leaves you wanting more. I'm in love with the characters but can't stand the father thus far. I wish I could buy this book as a novel or it could be bigger so I wouldn't have to buy such short books. Other then that this book is a good must-read that will leave you wanting and begging for more.

  • ☆☆Hannah☆☆

This is the second part to their story. Tristan's father still wants him to marry Vanessa. No matter how much he tries his father won't listen. Of course now Ginny thinks he is engaged to another woman. Now that there has been this big misunderstanding it will be interesting to see how it will play out in the next part of their story.

  • Lilac (Gemma) Cameron

I couldn't put this book now down and have brought the 3rd book

  • MaLoBe

Great one - full on drama and angst

When insecurities and longing takes over there's no better way than to see the love of your life face to face. Sometimes physical separation is too much and written words or online conversations could be perceived other than intended. This part of the series shows how difficult long distance relationships can be but also gives hope that love and very strong connection can make us more resilient and that we could be ready to salvage the relationship. Fantastic part, emotional, sexy and very immersive.

  • Peggy

This is book two in the three part series. I wasn’t a huge fan of book 1 but I did enjoy book 2 more than I thought. This is not a standalone, you must read book 1 and for those of us who don’t like the ‘cliffhanger’ well there is one, a big, fat, mystery email cliffhanger. Ginny and Tristan's relationship does grows and matures but this part of the journey has it’s share of angst. I am too far in to give up now, I want that HEA. These two people need to catch a break.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Marianela Aybar (Mari Loves Books Blog)

Oh my! The misunderstandings and the angst get to me and I get anxious to know that they figure it out. I hate when others try and sabotage others' relationships. And in this book, that's what happens to Ginny and Tristan. Instead of Ginny trusting and speaking to Tristan, it just gets worse. Good lord, I hope they figure it out in the next book.
