The Explosive Conclusion to the Dr. Harper Therapy series
I'm a therapist, and I've worked with the wildest internet celebrities… A vigilante who treated humans as factory farm animals. A germaphobe who warned of the next major plague. My own best friend. A rapist who got cancelled online — and in real life. A psychic medium with a disturbing prediction.
And the last patient I ever worked with: The one who asked me to take them off life support.
It all started with a big social media festival on a little island. We were promised endless days of sunshine, beach bonfires under the stars, and a chance to party with the world's most renowned influencers.
Instead, we were lucky if we made it out in one piece.

Keeping it weird, loved it!
This was such a quick, odd, fun read! So sad to know the trilogy is over though! 😭 this trilogy is unlike anything I typically read, but I loved every second of it, devoured it in 2 days. Pick this trilogy up! Its amazing! -
This book (and series) reads like fanfiction written by a 15 year old. If the author really is 15 then like kudos to them for publishing some books, but these are so bad. I read all three in 24 hours so clearly some part of me was interested enough for whatever reason, but I only finished the third book so I could write this review. The "plot" was all over the place and everything was somehow simultaneously chaotic and boring.

Great closer.
This one didn’t grab me white like the first two but it was still a fun read! While I am sad to see the end of Dr. Harper’s stories, I know he’s gotta be cooking up something else for me to sink my teeth into! -
loved this series!! noah & elliot ❤️
-
my heart is very tired of the constant ups and downs of this book and this series but god. that ending. im so heartbroken yet so satisfied with the twist there, really worth my while. definitely gonna be rereading these books in future years i think
-
I loved the series. This one wasn’t as great as the first two but I loved the character development.
-
It's one of those books where you really can not look away, you just need to find out what happens next and you're sitting there with all your theories D:
-
Overall good ending to the trilogy, kept me hooked from the start. Super fast paced and easy to get through.
-
Just as ludicrous as the first two books, and I ate it up. I can’t put my finger on why I love these totally out there books, but I do, and I can’t wait to read the prequels!

09/21/21: Still 4 stars. Rereading these has made me have a lot more questions than I did before. The prologue for these has just left me baffled. Is it all just made up stories Dr. Harper wrote, or is there just something really wrong with him? Kinda glad there will be another book coming out and this wasn’t the conclusion. I’m curious to see where it’s going from here.
Side note: Forgot how adorable Noah is, and how cute Noah and Elliot’s dates were. ❤️
03/30/20: What a wonderful conclusion to these files. The Influencer Files is the 3rd book in this little trilogy.
Some of the stories can seem a little far fetched and out there, but somehow they are told in a way that keeps you on the edge of your seat. There is always some twist and turn that has you diving in for more.
Just like the first 2 books, this one has all of the stories tying together for a bigger reason. I can honestly say I felt the big reveal for this book wasn’t as good as the first 2 were. In the patient files and prisoner files I was blown away with what was going on behind the scenes but I wasn’t with this book.
Despite that, the little twist at the end and how the story ended made up for it and I walked away happy.
Dr. Harper is a very unconventional therapist and his adventures are crazy but he’s an awesome man to follow. He will most certainly leave you cracking up and also asking “what the f*** are you doing?”
Read all three books and enjoy. -
that final little twist had me fooled for a hot minute. i sat in disbelief that i committed to this trilogy just for elliot and noah to not have a happy ending. but god that was such a great twist. so glad they DID get a happy ending. i’m so happy with the reveal about kierra too.
overall i highly enjoyed the series, i haven’t read in years because i get too distracted, (thanks adhd!) but the pacing in these books were excellent, high paced, loads of twists and turns and red hearings. just great all round.
also super appreciative of an mlm relationship sprinkled throughout them. that seemed genuine and not just thrown in to appease the gays. i was rooting for them the entire time and i’m just so happy it paid off! i would pay good money for a full book from noah’s pov because i love him.
// i know nothing about anything btw, if anyone ever reads this, just know that. don’t take anything i say too seriously because i don’t know the first thing about what makes a book “a great book” i just write my incoherent thoughts / word vomit to look back on :) -
I was so excited but sad to wrap up the series with this book but it just seemed like Dr Harper had run out of ideas and picked out the most far-fetched ones! I was excited for a ‘Fyre Festival’ type disaster and we all know what social media influencers can be like so I was expecting some epic patient files! However it just fell flat for me, the characters and story line seemed a bit all over the place. I wish that the story of James was elaborated on and I would of liked to have seen that relationship built on, especially with Noah and Elliott. At first I really liked Elliott’s no nonsense attitude but by the middle of this book I was so over it, everything I initially liked just seemed petulant and boring!
Overall I enjoyed this series, it was a different read and I really hope Dr Harper is working on more books! I would recommend, book 1 was definitely my fav! -
Me? Crying because of the ending? No ma'am, nope. *sniffles*
I can NOT even begin to describe the emotional turmoil I felt during reading this, a moment I would be angry at a character screaming at the book the next I would be crying because 'Hey, that's not fair! and then I would be laughing because as much as I hate her, Kierra is kinda funny?
All in all, I really liked this series and the characters, even the very unlikeable ones, are interesting. I'll probably be reading it again, especially considering it only solidified my love for morally grey characters. -
I loved this series so much I binged one after the other. Such quick reads. This was my least fav of the series but I still loved it. Thought it wrapped up really good. I'm sad it's over, would love to see more!
-
Sad it was so short honestly... Plus at one point a character says "nobody died on the island" just a few pages after Rocky killed the security guard... So... An inconsistency there. But that aside, i enjoyed the series. Wish i knew if the author did more books under another name.
-
Full of twists and turns, the ante has been upped in the finale of the series. The cases are stranger and horrific, and the plot unravels into a satisfying ending. All three are thoroughly enjoyable, I would recommend them to everyone!
-
This last book was the perfect ending to things! Usually I don't seek closure in a book but I got it here and it just made the book that much better. I can't wait to read the next series this author outs out!
-
This one seemed a bit rushed but was the longest of the series. Even though it clearly had an end. I feel like I neeeed more. As usual over the top but quick easy keep you occupied kind of read.

Book Review
Title: I'm a Therapist, and My Patient is a Vegan Terrorist: 6 Deadly Social Media Influencers
Author: Dr. Harper
Genre: Short stories/Horror/Mental Health
Rating: *****
Review: This is the final book in the Doctor Harper Therapy series, and I am sad because these books are dark, fast-paced, and amazing to read and I want more of them. The first patient file in this book belongs to Shawn, a vegan activist who is attending the island but immediately looks suspicious when a woman is shown to be tortured on a livestream from the island and Shawn wasn’t on the flight manifest. The woman Maggie, is tortured, killed, and supposedly fed to the other island residents sparking panic through everyone including Elliot. However, he quickly figures out that it was a hoax and that Shawn is Maggie and the reason he won’t speak is because his voice hasn’t dropped yet and Elliot helps him come to terms with being himself and being comfortable in his own skin but before Shawn leaves he warns Elliot not to hurt Noah which he doesn’t understand right now. We also get to witness the first date between the pair which was delightful given how dark these books can get, and I also have to say I am changing my opinion on Kierra even though she and Elliot fight like cat and dog. The four do seem to work well together with Zach being the voice of reason among them.
The second patient file belongs to Linus, who is a complete germaphobe who correctly predicts the outbreak of an infectious disease on the island. Linus locks himself and Elliot, Noah, Kierra, and Zach in his bunker to prevent them getting infected. However, Elliot sense of justice won’t allow him to remind somewhere safe when there are people that need help, so he threatens Linus until he releases Elliot who rushes to help with Noah by his side. However, when Noah begins presenting symptoms Elliot is panicked but Linus comes to help. It is soon revealed that this is just another elaborate prank which has set Elliot’s nerves completely on edge. We also get to see Elliot and Noah’s second and third dates, the second is beautiful but the third ends up with Noah getting very drunk and asking questions that Elliot doesn’t really want to answer so he leaves. I am loving the fact we are getting this book from Noah’s perspective rather than Elliot’s because he is an adorable marshmallow and I love him so much.
The third patient file belongs to Zach and it takes us back to Elliot’s childhood. Obviously, we had a glimpse of his battle with self-shame and self-harm but his relationship with Zach hasn’t really been explored. We learn that Elliot’s father left their family because he can no longer cope with his mother’s borderline personality disorder which she refuses to treat and also because of Elliot’s self-harm. However, his mother makes Elliot believe it is all his fault that his dad left leaving him with some psychological scars that he still struggles with today. After that Elliot withdraws and the only person, he willingly spends time with is Zach, but Zach wants him to make other friends. In the aftermath of one of their many arguments, Elliot believes that there might be something psychologically wrong with Zach and makes his first patient files. Back in the present, Elliot goes on his fourth date with Noah and there second “first” kiss is about to happen when Zach interrupts them as there has been a rape on the island.
The fourth patient file belongs to Rocky, a firefighter accused of raping an old woman and even though he was proven innocent he still suffered in the court of public opinion and was left with lasting scars because of it. When the DNA on the new rape comes back, Zach is shown to be the rapist but Elliot refuses to believe it. Zach explains the only reason his DNA is on the record is because he was accused of raping a girl back in the college and as a black man, he was persecuted but ultimately was proven innocent. By the time Elliot, figures out that Rocky is the actual rapist and has been getting sperm samples from sperm banks to frame his victims as abusers, he kills himself meaning Zach is still taken away by the F.B.I. until his innocence can be proven but the other three remain behind to deal with the storm coming to the island. The next date between Elliot and Noah is gate-crashed by Kierra and we get some information about why Noah trusts her but not the full picture, but she still seems to be trying to insert herself between Elliot and Noah wherever she can.
The fifth patient file belongs to Aurora, who is a psychic medium who comes to Elliot and Noah with a message from a dead woman asking Elliot for help. Elliot at first completely refuses to believe anything Aurora says even when she talks about things that very few people know like Elliot’s father leaving them when he was only a child. At first it seems like Kierra might be the woman but when Aurora talks about a mother’s worst nightmare and Kierra turns up fine, Elliot believe it might be his mother. After a brief phone call, we know it isn’t his mother either, but he gets a phone call from a lawyer telling him that the mother of the boy on the beach, James has died and that he and Noah are listed as the child’s guardians. Elliot wants to help James but he doesn’t want to force Noah into a position he isn’t ready for but he seems more than ready to build a life with Elliot after everything they have gone through which was beautiful and we get the see their second “first” kiss again which gave me all the feels.
The final patient file belongs to Kierra as the final attack on the island happens with Rocky apparently faking his death and unleashing an acid attack on the pool which scars Noah and looks like it is going to kill Elliot when Kierra jumps in front of him taking the hit and resulting in over 90% over her body being burned. Afterwards, she asks Elliot to switch off her life support and he agrees but not before he gets answers to all the questions that have been bugging him since the beginning of the book. However, we get two endings, we get one where Zach and Elliot go off on more dangerous adventures, Kierra dies and Noah leaves Elliot for good and takes custody of James and in the second which is the real ending where find out the first ending is the ending of Elliot’s latest book as he changes professions after the events of the island and they all lived happily ever after which these characters rightly deserved but it does make me question how much of the previous books was real and how much was Elliot dramatizing the events for his books. Overall, I loved the Doctor Harper series and I need more like this very soon. -
This is the last book of the series and based on the first two books I feel like I'm reading this book just to figure out how they all connect to each other.
I am not thrilled by the in-between journal chapters of Noah and Elliot’s relationship. I didn’t think it contributed to the story and it actually made me dislike Noah more than I already had. I feel like it also showed the audience that the two of them are not a great romantic match and Noah seems childish at times. They also didn't even help to tie into the end of the story very much.
I think something could’ve been done so that it doesn't seem like all this is randomly happening to Elliot. Such as he could seek out these odd cases or they are intentionally sent in his direction from multiple resources. I just don’t like books that have everything happen to and center around the main character.
The ending of the book and of the series was very dramatic and then there was a “twist ending” that I didn’t like. -
DNF @41 pages 1 star
The first two books in this series were not the best, but this one just goes so far off into left field. We are back to back and forth chapters about Noah and Dr. Harper's relationship in between the patient files. The patient files are no longer files, but just long chapters that are all connected. It doesn't feel like the original opening book in the trilogy and I instantly decided I no longer want to read these books no matter how quick of a read they are. They are no longer fun and whacky, but just frustrating and disrespectful to a wide variety of mental health areas.
-
Yet again, another wild, whacky, chaotic and shocking novel from Dr. Harper and a wonderful conclusion to the trilogy! I cannot recommend these novels enough for anyone who wants a quick and easy read with nothing but plot twists and shocking situations!
-
Super weird and I loved it all. Great series ill be ordering the prequel this week.
-
I feel the story did not flow as well as the others. It was unclear why the narration continously swapped between Noah and Elliott
-
I loved this series. Super fast paced and it had a sweet ending.
-
This is the best series I have ever read. I WANT WHAT THEY HAVE 😭
-
Not my favorite of the 3, but still good. Still weird. A good wrap up to the series.
