Oh, I had no idea that this book was happening. I previously enjoyed the first book very much but for some reason this art sort of disappeared from my facebook. In the past, it used to flood my feed but thinking about it; I did not see one in a very long time.
So, I was a bit surprised, seeing this book, since I did not hear any news about it being published.

And you can bet that I almost knocked over my laptop trying to open it fast enough.

Overall I was very pleasantly surprised! Since these comics stopped showing on my facebook, I can say that I knew only three before reading this. And trust me, it made it just so much better!

What I love about these is that they are super relatable; it just seems like my life, it gives me the illusion of normalcy. What can I say, my limbs are currently cold, and I'm hungry — the story of my life. At least I'm not the only one suffering the same fate.

This was a wonderful surprise and with a puppy as a bonus! What's not to like? Plus, I also like the cover, it's in such a stark contrast with the first book. Pretty, pretty.

I never get tired of Catana's comics, and this collection was just as adorable as I expected it to be. My spouse and I always love these because we feel like they're so very us. Honestly, nobody nails "relatable" humor quite as well as Catana does when it comes to cute, casual couple stuff!

    (^ literally me)

If it tells you anything about how much I loved this, despite being the sort of person who almost never pre-orders finished copies of comic collections, I ran off to pre-order this the moment I finished my eARC because I needed it for my shelf (just like I did with Catana's last collection, which I reread often, and fondly ♥). I absolutely recommend picking it up, especially if you're in a long-term relationship and can relate to the cute, goofy things comfortable couples do with each other.

Thank you so much to the publisher for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Reading this while I'm doing my take-home test and stressing over it.

And again, the author gives such an adorable book, it literally brought a smile to my face.

Cuz "why bothered getting out of bed when you could stay bundled up with that special someone". The comic illustrates and embraces our own quirks with the magic for when you finally found your puzzle piece.

Like, would you look at that??
I truly adore Catana's works and even though the book makes me feel as single as ever, it still brings so many joys and warms.

This is super cute and so full of love and understanding! How will I ever not love Catana's comics.... I am invested for this lifetime.

The comic style is a bit less attractive than the first collection I would say. Otherwise the art sequence and everything works out fine.

As it is just about the couple, it becomes a bit monotonous and a bit repetitive.
But you know what? It is just amazing and sweet! It was difficult not to feel super single while reading this.

I enjoyed it a lot. I see lots of potential in the upcoming collections. I cannot wait, Catana!

Thank you #NetGalley for providing an ARC of this amazing comic collection #Snug

More cuteness and snuggles between Chetwynd and her tall, bearded boyfriend. Highlights a cutesy relationship between a clingy, funny female and a tolerant and loving male.

Usually I would say a person's relationship is none of my fucking business, but since this is a book and I am consuming it I will mention that Chetwynd's complete worship-obsession with her boyfriend seems... slightly troubling. He is tolerant and seems to think it's cute, but IRL I think it would get annoying fast. Maybe that's me, I'm averse to clinging. I avoid clingy men and I avoid being clingy with men.

TL;DR Overall, if you want an overdose of cuteness and sweetness, I'd pick this up. It's adorable and a quick read. Slight concerns about codependency (maybe more than slight) but I can ignore it in favor of cute romance. Heaven forbid these two ever break up since Chetwynd seems to believe her boyfriend makes her a whole person and is extremely dependent on him for her happiness. If taken at face value and only consumed for cuteness, though, it's A+.

How I read this: Free ebook copy received through NetGalley

This is incredibly cute, as Catana comics always are! There were quite a lot of new ones I hadn't seen in this collection, and I really enjoyed it. So did my boyfriend, as we were reading it together!

I thank the publisher for giving me a free copy of the ebook in exchange to my honest review. This has not affected my opinion.

This graphic novel is so cute! It's a collection of short comics all about Catana, the artist, and her boyfriend John. You can clearly see how much they love each other and the comics are lovely.
This book is going to be published at the beginning of February and I honestly think it would make the perfect Valentine's Day's present for your significant other.

This is so CUTE! I laughed, I smiled and yes, I did send some snapshots at my boyfriend (he wasn't with me, so I couldn't look at him lovingly while reading this). It's so adorable, and I was totally seeing us in some, but I also saw my brother and his girlfriend in others. I am completely in love with this book. I will need to buy a physical copy of this one, to read it again and again and again!

Many thanks to Andrews McMeel Publishing for the complimentary e-copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

somehow these comics are the perfect amount of relatable while also telling the story of their lives in snapshots.

    I've previously read
    Little Moments of Love
    by
Catana Chetwynd and thought they were disgustingly sweet (you can read my review
here). Well, this book was just as nauseatingly adorable.

I think the previous book had a bit more relatable content for me, but there were still a bunch of comic strips in this book that I thought were really cute. Although some of these comics are posted on Chetwynd's instagram,
@catanacomics, I am happy to report that most of it appears to be original content found exclusively in this book.

I'd also like to point out that Chetwynd's artwork has improved since the first book. Although the style still remains the same (with the characters looking a bit like smiling pufferfish), there is more shading, visual depth, and details (such as furniture and other background setting) included in some of these newer comics. I also thought the characters were a bit cuter, with slightly larger pupils than her earlier comics. Overall, a nice improvement from her earlier works.

Some of my favourite comic strips from this book (which also happens to be one of the few images that are posted on her instagram) include:

    and this super relatable one

    Welcome Back!

I am super excited to be writing this post! It's a little outside of my usual but I am here to talk about Snug a book of Catana Comics collected. This is the second book of it's kind and I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this in exchange for an honest review. Something I have not really shared on my blog is that I love Catana Comics, these cute little comics are something my spouse and I have shared with one another for years now. A lot of them apply to us ( so they are super relatable) but also they are super cute and fun to share with each other. So when I got this ARC on Netgalley I was incredibly pumped and I knew exactly how I wanted to read it. Reading this book was a little different than I have ever done with any other book, I snuggled up on the couch with our kittens (though they did not stay very long, they had kitten things to do apparently), and my spouse. We looked through this together and it was a super sweet fun time!

The comics are super cute and lovey as always and were done in the usual Catana Comics style. There were a lot of comics in this particular book that we found funny or my spouse or I would point to and say yupp, or yeah you do that too. If you have not checked out a Catana Comic yet you can definitely do that online on their Facebook or other social media outlets but also you should check out their books! I am definitely going to be purchasing this second book to just have around to share again with my spouse at some point in the future. On Goodreads, I am rating this five stars.

  • Anandi Puritipati

Catana never disappoints with her adorable, cute, heart warming comics. Her and John are literally #couplegoals and I don't know what else I can say!

Everything that's drawn in these comics is something everyone goes through in their life. It's not anything extremely unique or anything like that. But I guess that's what also makes it so special? Like, I never tire of reading catana comics' comic strips because they're like the best, most wholesome slice of life pieces ever and I love them!

Thank you so much, Netgalley, for this ARC! This was so great!

  • Rod Brown

Cute and sweet cartoons about love and relationships that give me the warm fuzzies. I can see me and my wife in many of these strips.

Muhaha. TO CHCE NĚKDY KAŽDEJ! Rozveď to nějak vtipně holka!

Fakt dobré stránky byly tři... to je sakra málo.
