Omega Darius was always the antithesis of everything prized in his pack—something they reminded him of often as a child when his skinny physique and academic goals kept him on the outside looking in. Leaving his pack to attend university while most of the pups are just beginning high school has given him the freedom to explore all the academics he’s always longed to, but something is missing. Even years later when he finds his roommate and they form their own makeshift pack, he still feels off-center, like there’s a hole in his life.
And then he’s invited to the shifter hotspot Animals for their annual Halloween party. This will change everything. He can feel it. He just has no idea how much.

Holy cow! This book was all over the place. I had to read and reread passages thinking I had missed something because it jumped around so much. I've read some books by this author I've enjoyed for sweet mate stories but this doesn't even seem the same. Lots of typos and overuse of commas. -
I generally like this author but this book not so much. There were several sections where it felt like whole paragraphs were missing. The names were super confusing and several times I had to go back to the beginning of the chapter to tell whose head I was in. And it didn't make sense when I did. There were several elements that needed much more elaboration - and we didn't get it. Karma, the alpha's real job and how he truly supported himself. The omega is a doctoral student so that made sense at least.
If it wasn't for a challenge I would not have finished it. -
Cute
Very cute little story, wonderful for Halloween, with loads of love and magic. Just a sweet and very quick read. -
So this one had a lot of potential for story and plot/development, yet sadly it just never really went anywhere. I admit to getting bored towards the end and I would probably have dropped this book if not for how short it is.
Darius and Bruin sounded great when we first meet them individually, with Darius talking about his life and job. How he first goes to Animals, introduction of Karma and Basil was awesome. Also Bruin sounded fun with his costume and travel along with his work, I wanted to know more about these twos past and Karmas magic. Yet sadly the moment Bruin and Darius meet its straight to the romance, steam along with the mating bond.
I did enjoy their meeting and the bath scene was fun, along with how they took things slow at least in mating terms. Sadly though we never really got to see their relationship grow out of the sex, mating and pregnancy. Most of the progress and getting to know each other happens off page, we just hear about it after from each of them and sometimes overlaped the pov which made it confusing.
It had so much potential I would have loved to have seen the conversations about their life's and work, that was stated happened but didn't see. Also their trip to Spain would have been great to see their relationship develop and getting to know each other. I'd have loved to of learned more about Karma and even Basil or his mate too.
Overall it was an easy and quick read with heavy focus on mating and mpreg, but sadly due to its length and some of the writing style it didn't reach the development I'd have liked. I enjoyed it for the most part and always like a look at different shifters, just a bit disappointed. Will still take a look at the next one xx -
Cute, good. Lorelei is one of the good "fast food" shifter writers out there. Is anything here heavy or complicated? No. But that's why I like her books. The "papa" thing isn't my cup of tea though

Holy Editing Issues...
There were times I had no idea who was speaking, the wrong names were used, words were missing, sentences just stopped, and chapters where the pov changed but described what just happened but it didn't match what already was mentioned.
Outside of that, this was not bad. Both bears were fine, I just wish we could've had more backgrounds on them. I wish I could say the sexytimes were good but the editing errors made them confusing.
Karma was the star in this. Apparently she knows everything and I want more of that. -
Papa bear for Darius
Another really cute Mpreg shifter story from this awesome team of writers sees nerdy virginal bear omega mystically find his true mate and fellow bear shifter -
Cute story
This was a cute story in theory. The writing was a bit strange to me. One POV would go for a whole chapter and then it would switch POVs at the next chapter but start back at a previous point in the timeline. This just wrecks the flow of telling a story. Also, I know that there is another book for Basil but is it really necessary? I think both stories could just be one book and this book could have lost some details that just came across as filler. There was a line that really did make me scratch my head, it said: My eyes were halfway closed, but not all the way. What does that even mean? Were they just a quarter closed? Or do you mean they weren't all the way shut because they were halfway open? Because duh. I found it strange too that Darius felt so weird about sex but jumped right into making out, role playing and spankings. I think role playing and spankings would take longer to be comfortable with. I'm sorry for dumping all over the author's work but I did like the premise. -
Met at the club
Good characters, adequate plot, some heat. Not a lot of description of the several locales, but this is a quick 90-minute read. Lots of feel-good scenes and good finish.
As I am a gatherer of books, I collect books and ebooks from a variety of sources: Goodreads wins, Bookhub, BookFunnel, emails from authors and publishers, and others. I do lose track of their sources. But, as a reader, I feel I should give an honest, unencumbered review for all I read. -

É uma leitura F(. . .), desculpe pela palavra, eu amei 🖤. . .
Amei!

Papa Bear For Darius
At a Halloween party two male bear shifters are introduced to each other by a woman bear shifter named Karma. (Hint, Hint) They realized immediately they were fated mates. The story was short, cute and sweet with no angst. -
This is a Mpreg story that was very sweet as well as entertaining. I loved the nicknames that they had for each other (bunny and papa bear) and their relationship dynamic was so precious. The writing was excellent and the characters were very engaging. Truly enjoyable read.
-
Was kinda getting into this story due to the socially awkward shifter, but then the instalove happened, and on top of it the omega was an untouched 21 year old virgin never-been-kissed, and the experienced alpha was all over that, which squicked me out.
-
This is a typical Lorelei Hart romance. Sweet and lite. With very likeable characters. I consider her works to be "shifter-lite". Never too much angst, just a touch. Enjoyment when you just want a homey loving story. A very nice, romantic tale.

Papa Bear and Bunny
Sweet no drama read. Karma part owner of animals told Darius not yet, three years later he's back and Bruins his fated mate is there waiting. Quick read with a HEA. -
I found this series by accident and was very pleasantly surprised. So far I've just read a couple books, and both out of order, but it has not diminished my pleasure in either. Cute, sweet and entertaining - just what I was looking for. I will definitely be reading more books out of this series.

I really struggled to finish this book. I’m having trouble enjoying them. If insta mates/love is your jam you’ll probably enjoy them more than I. The characters are enjoyable. I’m just bouncing off the instant, solves all the issues thing. :/

WOW!! So Good!!
Well written story and well developed characters! An alpha bear that left his family because they wanted him to fight his brother to the death! He wouldn't do it! An omega bear who never developed as big as a bear should be so he was picked on all the time! -
It was fine. Less spicy than the description suggested. Really very few details in any capacity. Also some typos here and there including the final chapter using Darius’ name where it should be Bruin in one of the final couplets of dialogue.

OUTCASTS NO MORE!
