Justice for Amber (Seeking Justice #1) Reviews

  • Becca

This is a quick read and if you have access to Audion you can listen to the audio version.
Otherwise it's a rescue to love at first sight.
    Happy reading!

Amber Milliner is a computer programmer who is developing innovative new software to identify and track terrorists. Cody Whittaker is a FBI agent (and protege of Cruz Livingston from Susan Stoker's Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes series. When Amber is attacked, Cody steps in to save her, and they end up falling in love.

There are a lot of good parts to this novel. The characters are interesting, the action scenes compelling, and the relationship between Amber and Cody is great. However, the book drags in the other sections and the end is too abrupt, which makes it an okay book.

Ok, but was more tell than show. Then they don’t get together until the very end, and really, not even then if you know what I mean! There definitely is potential, so I’d try another one by this author.

Not bad entry matching a newly transferred FBI agent with a woman in danger in San Antonio. When agent Cody meets Cruz (Badge of Honor), he becomes a member of the San Antonio office and immediately becomes a protector of a woman who is developing a program for Homeland Security. They manage to maintain a professional distance until the threat is resolved.

Romantic suspense is my Achilles heel, and this short novella has it all. Amber is a computer programmer, and her skills put her in classified situations. This latest is highly classified, and someone wants in so much, they are willing to kill her for it. Unwilling to sit idle, Amber accepts FBI protection until the culprit is caught. Cody figures Amber to be a computer geek, but is pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful woman behind the brains. The attraction is mutual, but to keep her safe, all feelings have to be put on hold. But will these two resist? And will it be the downfall of the program she has created? Twists, turns and passion fuel this story until the very end. I enjoyed it and can't wait to see what will happen next in the series.

Amy Deuchler and Tom Campbell narrate this gem. Amy is new to me, and really enjoyed her voice. She has a warmth to her tone that is easy on the ears, and she nails the feisty, smartness of Amber. Campbell is perfect in the alpha protector role. I love his voice and enjoy the grittiness of his performance. It is a great listen!

    Short and cute romantic suspense

Someone wants Amber dead but she doesn’t know who or why...that’s where FBI Special Agent Cody Whittaker comes in. The newly relocated Cody’s first case is to find out who is after the government contractor, who’s computer program will help to identify terrorists. The intense chemistry between Amber and Cody will smoke up your ebook! Although the ending is a bit abrupt, the HEA is cute. Recommend this quick read/listen.

This is a nice story. I liked the idea but the attraction between the two MC seemed very rushed and I really didn’t *feel* their connection at all. The whole scary FBI side was good. I loved seeing Cruz again and his friends. Cody seemed like he would fit right in with them.

Overall I think this would have been better with the character/story fleshed out a little better. It all seemed a bit rushed. I did listen to this on audio. Both narrators are new to me. I feel they did a good job.

This short novella is the first book in the Seeking Justice Series, a Romantic Suspense. Amber and Cody's story is fast-paced, suspenseful, action packed, and filled with danger, and romance. They share an instant attraction and a sizzling chemistry. Amy Deuchler and Tom Campbell did a fantastic job with the narration. The audio quality is perfect. This is a great team author and narrators. I enjoyed it. #SpectrumAudiobooks

This is a good plot, the story build up quite well and i found engaging. It left me a little disappointed though as just when the story started getting really excited it was finish.
    Engaging but too short.

  • Pam Jackson-gorsline

    Justice

This is a good story with many twists and turns that keeps you reading. The characters were complex and interesting.

  • Michele bookloverforever

FIB romantic suspense novella. Wish it were longer.

  • Jbgreendawn

Short, Insta everything since the length is short. but, I bought the whole series without reading any reviews so will read them.

  • Marie

Great story and plot...until the abrupt and incomplete finish.

I loved Cody and Amber, both characters with strong personalities, quirks and flaws, the chemistry between them was also believable and built throughout the book....I was expecting a huge plot twist and explosive steamy scenes....we got a fizzle and splat! Whilst the gunman is caught and we are told he is part of a bigger group, there is no explaination of who the bigger group is, who is behind this, or why? We are just left dangling....that's before we get to the steamy, sexy, hot build up to...once again hanging...
So 98% of this book is amazing but the ending leaves you disappointed and asking questions.
Thankfully I read this on Kindle Unlimited, therefore I wasn't too upset, if you can read it on Kindle Unlimited do so but if you have to buy it I would think twice.

Amber was a very good computer programmer. She was working on something top secret and as she was leaving work, a sniper blew out the windows of her car and killed the guard who was driving along side of her while she walked. Cody is new to the scene and is assigned to protect and be her bodyguard. In the beginning she had a smart mouth and very beligerent. The story was pretty good, but hard to get into.

  • Joanna

I enjoyed the suspense in this story but I was frustrated by some of the spelling mistakes and the scene at the hospital when Cody was on the phone to Cruz - the sentence before that said Cody looked into Cruz's eyes...how if he was on the phone??? Also I'm not really sure of the ending it seemed like an excuse to finally get in a sex scene which I'm not really sure was needed.

She caught his heart technically speaking

Enjoyable, short and sweet, with some action and a HEA that you will enjoy.
Follow as new agent Cody finds instant attraction on his new assignment.

    Justice for Amber

Good read. A little 'light' compared to some books of this genre but a good short read. Amber and Cody hit it off from the first meeting which just might save Ambers life.

  • Iris Hehe

    Good read

Amber met Cody after some shooter tried shooting up her car. She was alright, but very scared. Cody fell in lust at the first glance and Amber wasn't far behind. She was working on a computer program that was designed to help find terrorists.

    Fast and Good

I totally loved this one. Expertly written with some great characters. There is some sexual content but mostly it's story and action, which makes for a great read.

  • Rjh77

    Eh.

It was okay, not as good as some in the Operation Alpha series. Bad grammar and spelling and just badly written.
