Ten years ago, Roxy Tavish left the town of Cavern Creek, Washington and all its bad memories behind. One afternoon, a phone call changes the entire course of her life. Her aunt has been murdered and her young brothers are at the center of the vicious crime. Detective Chas McCall knows that Roxy is the only hope the young boys have. What he doesn't know, is that by bringing her back to Cavern Creek he puts her squarely in the crosshairs of a monster—the same monster who haunts the memories of her childhood. Everyone has skeletons in their closets, but Roxy's are worse than most. When she steps foot back on Cavern Creek soil, all hell breaks loose. A mist of fury is unleashed. There is nowhere to run this time—no place to hide. When all is said and done, lies and betrayal threaten to take down an entire town.

This book was very good and I can't wait to read the second book in the series espially with how this one ended. I loved the the chemistry between Roxy and Chas in this book and I thought the storyline was also excellent.

Characters grabbed my attention from page one. The story revolves around Chase McCall and the murders occurring in the town. Roxy has returned to town to help her young brothers who are the midst of all the mayhem.

pretty good
Although I was expecting this to be about twins and their lover it wasn't. After realizing this I got sucked into the story and read it anyway. There was never a boring moment and I got emotionally tied to the characters. Much better than I expected, not too bad. -
It was a pretty fast paced mystery. No great surprise when it came to the villain.
