On the run, Moreno is captured by a CIA team. She spins a tale to use her money and manpower to destroy ISIS in an effort to save herself. Laws and rules of engagement are meaningless to Moreno, her life and her family are her only concern. Will the CIA leader fall for her offer?

Will team leader AJ Bruce strike a deal to turn the tables on Islamic State? Can she stop them from launching an attack on the United States? Or will she be too late?

I gave this crime thriller four and a half riveting stars!

Okay, so I'll be honest, crime thrillers aren't usually my go-to genre for reading, but when I hear that Randall Krzak has come out with a new book, I always make a point to give it a read. I definitely wasn't disappointed with this read!

Throughout this book we follow the life of Colombian drug lord Olivia Moreno. She runs a cartel and has recently lost close family members that were running the cartel. She's had to learn quickly to keep her and her family alive. But when she's forced to make a deal with a local FARC commander named Dias, will she find that the deal she made is more than she can bargain for?

    This book was great!

First off, the characters really shined through for me. My favorite POV's were those of the Moreno family. I mean, Olivia is a badass. She's cut throat, vengeful and not afraid to do anything to protect her family. I mean anything. Olivia's interactions with her son Alonzo, twin daughters, and husband Pedro were wonderful and had those pages turning anytime one of their chapters came up.

The plot as expected had a lot of surprising sudden twists that I didn't see coming with lots of great action scenes. Just when I thought I knew where something was headed, bam! Plot twist. Gotta love it.

I'll confess that I did like the romance elements in this novel. Don't worry, they weren't main plot drivers, but I enjoyed the tender moments between certain characters. Maybe there's hope for this anti-romance reader after all.

If I had to nitpick at anything, I would say that I didn't connect quite as much with the other POV's outside the Moreno family, but it was still stellar writing that had me enthralled the whole time.

Ultimately, Colombian Betrayal is a cut-throat crime thriller full of adrenaline-pumping excitement, danger, and deadly double crosses.

    Definitely worth a read!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading COLUMBIAN BETRAYAL by Randall Krzak. What's stronger money or family? I guess it all depends upon who the person is. In this case, Olivia Moreno is the current head of the Barranquilla Cartel in Columbia and to her, family comes first followed by the business. ISIS is looking for a foothold in South America and heading a cartel would be a good place to start. Several people are planning to overthrow Olivia and take over the cartel for themselves. But everybody is double-crossing everybody else. Even the head of a CIA division plans to double-cross Olivia to fatten is own bank account without fulfilling his end of the bargain.

AJ and her team are searching for a terrorist group that is planning to attack the U.S. Through their actions, they encounter Olivia and take her into protective custody. Leaving her in Cuba while searching for her kidnapped twin girls. There are so many twists and turns in this complex storyline but the author does a marvelous job at bringing everything together at the end. This is my third book by this author and he has not disappointed me. Highly recommended for readers interested in CIA, drug lord, and terrorist type of stories.

AJ and Javier face danger and desperados in a spine-tingling thriller. Krzak skillfully pulls together a family in Columbia, a bevy of nasty terrorists, and US spies to create a story full of twists and turns. It isn’t clear if it will all work out or who will live or die...treachery abounds. I recommend this read for suspense and action lovers.

Colombian Drug Lord, what could go wrong? (4.5 Stars)

This is another wonderful Thriller from Randall Krzak. I’ve been getting caught up on all my reviews and TBR list. This one, I’m sorry I didn’t finish and post sooner. What I love about this novel are the characters. Randall has taken the time to create a diverse cast with wonderful representation, which I personally enjoy (although I’m still waiting to see some LGBTQIA characters). The character that took this story to the next level for me was Olivia, she’s a no-nonsense woman who reads like a woman, which can be difficult when men write strong female characters. I really enjoyed getting the story from her end. It’s nice, is that the right word, reading about a woman Drug Lord who could also be your favorite aunt, sister, or parent’s friend and you would have no idea. That might sound a bit odd, but once you read the story, you’ll see what I mean.

As with all Randall’s books there are twists and turns that you don’t see coming and make the story a great read. Of all his books (I’ve read to date) this is one I can see as a Hollywood Blockbuster. I’m not saying the others won’t make great films, however, if I had to pick one, this would be the one… right now.

As I’ve mentioned several times Crime Thrillers are not typically my go too, but Randall is definitely turning me into a Crime Thriller fan.

Randall Krzak leaves readers breathless with another International blockbuster. This time, Randall takes us to South America and all points north as a Colombian drug lord makes a deal with Mideastern Warlords to attack America.

FARC, ISIS, and the CIA keep the reader on the edge in a non-stop rollercoaster of high emotion, brutal retribution, and unrequited love. An emotional knife-edge enthralls us as husbands die, strong women take the reins, and children become the pawns that guarantee a reader will lose sleep to discover what happens next.

Don’t miss this real-world adventure as ISIS seeks to rise from the ashes to wreak havoc on the world. Could taking total control of Afghanistan poppy fields be any worse than killer pharmaceuticals traded at America’s southern border? Oh yes. Far worse."

    Fast Paced

A pretty good thriller...reasonable with off color language. A little confusing keeping track of the Hispanic names and characters.
At times somewhat graphic with the demise of some of the characters. There were several plot twists and who was the good guy vs the bad guy was interesting. I could read another by this author if able.
