Alchemy will resonate strongly as truth for those who have or will come to know that there is only one of us here, i.e. that every one of us is God expressing Himself through us. Alchemy speaks to the fact that we are all eternal souls who came out of Spirit (the REAL world, so to speak) like waves from the ocean, and are here having collective lessons in love in this virtual reality/Earth school, but will always return back from whence we came. When we know this, we are freed from judgment of self and others and can walk our highest path. These concepts are presented thoroughly, though the density of this material may make it unsuitable as an introductory text for those just awakening to the truth. At least for me, I had to live some of these principles before I experienced the fullness of understanding. In summary, Alchemy holds important truths for those who seek them.

It's also worth noting the timing of this book/text. In Alchemy, the guides speak of those souls who are here on Earth awakening now being part of a larger awakening of the collective (i.e. all of us incarnated on Earth at this time). I believe that the spiritual awakenings being experienced by so many at this time, AND the coronavirus pandemic, are directly related--both are the Universe moving the planet from its lower vibration of fear and separation to a higher vibration of unconditional love, and much of Alchemy can be viewed and understood through this lens.

My thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced reading copy.

'Be as you are. And say yes to what will follow.’

New York City author Paul Selig is a channeler, a man able to communicate with guides from the beyond, and in doing so provides important lessons for his readers. It has been said, ‘In a world of would-be psychics making great claims for themselves with little evidence to back them up, Paul Selig is the real thing. His books occupy a special place in the literature of channeled messages.’ Well educated – both at New York University and at Yale – Paul experienced a spiritual experience in 1987 that rendered him a clairvoyant and his books on channeled literature are considered by many to be the zenith in the field. He maintains a practice as an intuitive in New York City and serves on the faculty of the Esalen Institute.

ALCHEMY is Volume 2 of the Beyond the Known trilogy and describes his channeled encounters with the Guides. The Guides offer us a way to engage the transformational process of moving beyond a limited interpretation of the self and into a place of true manifestation. As humanity stands at a crossroads, the voices of The Guides offer insight and a path forward - the pure, unedited words of The Guides

For doubters, simply read this book and by the end of the experience your life will be enhanced. For an ‘other-worldly’ but very much ‘this-worldly’ experience, spend time absorbing the wisdom found in these pages.

This book was written from a series of channeled lectures delivered by Paul Selig. Paul is a very experienced channel who has a number of books spanning two decades of communication with and through his guides. You may ask, “Who are his guides?

Answered, “We are who you become when you truly know who you truly are.”

This book asked me, who about who would I be if I were not the definition that I hold of myself?

That is the point where the “alchemy” begins, with a willingness to re-know, re-conceive, re-articulate and to reclaim the divinity that lies within.

The book uses music as reference point, speaking of octaves of vibration.

As you say yes to the who and what you truly are, “I am a Divine Self, I am in form as the Divine Self,” you go into an agreement at a higher octave that can summon forth the inherent Divine by nature of being.

The guides talk about life in terms of octaves that equate to levels if you will. Octaves are vibratory, and tie into the concept of us as vibrational beings in a body, perhaps for now. Then later as we evolve to higher octaves that physical body transforms into a light body and finally into pure consciousness.

Throughout the book, you’ll hear refrains, often repeated in a series of threes:

I have come I have come I have come.
I am known I am known I am known.
I am knowing myself as beyond what I thought possible.
I am knowing myself as beyond what I thought possible.
I am knowing myself as beyond what I thought possible.

The theme of claiming ourselves as Divine echoes throughout the delivery of many familiar spiritual concepts. For example:
“I am Word through my body. Word I am Word. I am Word through my vibration. Word I am Word. I am Word through knowing of myself as Word.”

When you claim these words, you align to them.

But the guides specify that this differs from the ego thinking that “I am God.” They say, “You do not become the Christ. The Christ becomes you.”

There is an acknowledgment of the ego…The True Self knows, the small self thinks. I envision it as the ego stepping aside or falling away to allow the truth of who we are to expand fully, to come fully alive within us.

Another concept these guides use is the idea of “an Upper Room.” This is a place that when we agree to resonate with it, we step into this higher octave of awareness that exists beyond our current physical identity. They explain, “This is not the only lifetime you live in this moment.”

This is not the only lifetime you live in this moment. Being wholly present is a state connected to an awareness that goes beyond our present circumstances.

That was truly something for me to chew on because I always thought being in the present moment—wholly present--was about being a particular point in time-space, with an individual point of focus. Being here-now, like when you’re talking to a two-year old on the phone.

This book peeled back the onion for me a big on the idea of an Eternal present moment…where everything is happening now.

Let’s stay for a moment in this Upper Room, this place we can’t entirely conceive because it is just out of reach of our current understanding. But they do attempt to describe it.

When the body remembers its true nature “I know what I am” its amplification supports realignment of everything, including the senses. Your ears are not just hearing. Your entire field is hearing. Your eyes are not just seeing. Your being is witnessing. Your sense of touch is replaced instead by alignment with what exists in the higher octave.

Alchemy promotes the idea of embracing “Dominion.” It says, Dominion is, in fact, the decision to embody at the level of the Divine Self for the benefit of all. The light does not decide where to shine. It shines upon all things. You become that light by aligning to the True Self, “my true expression that seeks to be known as me. I Have Come.”

The small self thinks, the True Self knows. True knowing, you see, is always present, but is ignored because it defies what you think you want.

“I know who I am” surrenders identity to the True Self. No one can give you knowing. To affirm that it is already present will be what you require to begin to access it. “I know who I am. I know who I am. I know who I am.”

The Kingdom is the presence of God that is called into manifestation through the intent to become what one truly is. The Kingdom is not where you go to take a vacation. It is not where you land to sip a martini after a ridiculously hard life.

When you stand there in agreement to who and what you are, you trust the flow, you trust the firmness of what you stand upon. There is no fear because you understand that you will know as you require it, as you journey forth.

The one who knows who she is always an ambassador of truth. The one who knows who she is will not deny another her process, her engagement with form, what she thinks she is or would have herself be.

This book is absolutely five stars for its rich content that expanded my ideas around stepping into the highest and best version of myself. It is melodic read with a underlying rhythm that made me feel like it was activating secret chords within me. It is not a quick and easy read. It is a bit-by-bit read for me.

Alchemy is a book I am going to put on my re-read shelf, because there is much beyond my current level of understanding. Much to re-know, re-conceive and re-articulate.

This is a compilation of several Selig “channeled lectures,” though they better fit the category of New Age bait & switches. We are told “A spiritual experience in 1987 left him clairvoyant,” and since then, he has become a “renowned channeler.” Channeling, as it is popularly known, entails suspension of one’s everyday consciousness so that a higher consciousnness can be attained. This usually results in contact with a spiritual entity who guides with words of wisdom and sometimes answers questions from human neophytes. In this case, "suspension" is the operative approach.
Selig claims, “The Guides offer us a way to engage the transformational process of moving beyond a limited interpretation of the self and into a place of true manifestation.” If that makes any sense to the reader, this self-serving book of uncoordinated ramblings may be useful. Otherwise, the book’s title (“Alchemy”), reveals nothing of that historical tradition, because Selig has an altogether divergent view of mystical experience. Through eight chapters of pep talk and meandering psychobabble, the implied transformation is never explained, let alone offered.

In the realm of channeling and meditation, the idea and action amalgamation of reaching a high plane of "oneness" to the creator has been a widespread goal for many. In Alchemy: A Channeled Text, we get the channeled transcripts by Paul Selig of how to reframe and actualize your mindset, thought processes of the higher self to a higher plane of thinking.

While I'm not a huge fan of channeled or transcripted free word writing of channeled experiences (as it requires that you first have a knowledge of how someone speaks beforehand), I enjoyed the experience of the act of attempting to hold the same mind frame the author was in to get to that state. itself. Further, and this is acknowledged in the text, a channeled text/mediation experience is good but you are also framing and filtering that information through the individual the process is happening through. So, mileage may vary.

As with all texts on trying to attain a higher frame of thought- or thot- as the kids say these days, your ability to understand and reframe is based on your experience and openness to change. Some just aren't there yet. Some have mental blocks that require unblocking or working through beforehand. And, well, sometimes people need more baby steps.

I enjoyed the text and it gave me much to attune into during my mediations and thoughts to work through in my daily life.

This book is the channeled voice of The Guides to Paul. It is the second in the Beyond the Known Trilogy. As I read this book, I had to keep stopping to absorb the information. Although there are many references to “God” and “the Christ”, it is not Christianity per se. There are also many references to the Divine and the belief of other Gods. I did not feel as if religion was being pushed onto me.

I have been involved in a twelve-step program for self-improvement and found many similar messages. Surrendering to your Higher Power is one of the messages. Another message is if you cannot find love within yourself, you cannot find it in another being. This was the first book I have read by this author, but it will not be the last. If you are looking for a self-improvement book, you do not have to look any further.

I did not connect with the information, which felt like the often-seen compilation of Science of Mind, Buddhism, New Age, etc. I plan to read it again in the near future to see if maybe the issue was timing, or an overload of similar studies. This, to me, is most likely a book for readers who have not previously studied multiple sources of similar teachings. The information in Alchemy may possibly resonate with them more.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest evaluation.

This is the absolute most information-packed nonfiction that I have perused in a real long time. It was difficult to go through without over-analyzing, looking at how it resonated with me and just wanting to get a firm hold on the messages at hand.

There are a few experiments, I'll call them, for lack of a more descriptive term. They are excellent. They require all of my extra attention.

Spend some time prepared to spend some time, should you endeavor it.

If you are looking for new age truths, you will like this book. It seems to be from lectures he has given. I haven''t read any of his other books before this. If you are searching for truths in spirituality this book may help guide you.
