New York is the city of her birth, but having grown up in Europe, Cecily Chambers is a stranger in the fast paced and nuanced city. Enrolled by her father in the prestigious Carterton Academy for her senior year, she has to leave all her friends behind to start again, and to navigate the circling sharks. The friends she makes tell her not to trust Adrian Morecroft, and all the guys he hangs with. But he seems to take a particular interest in her, the new girl. Smoldering dark looks, he is cute as hell. Obviously, she tries to take her friends’ advice, but how could she not be flattered?

I marked this a cliffhanger, not because there are any confirmed sequels that I know of but because the book felt incomplete.
I also believe that the main characters, mainly the heroine, forgave each other too quickly. I've never had a problem with how fast characters have forgiven each other but I don't believe there were enough good times between them to make their forgiveness feel deserved.

I like the cover...it looks appropriate and very mature. Simple and not pretentious, not too sexy either but compelling as hell...just the right flavor. I hope the story is equally beautiful. I really want to read this. Three stars for the beautiful cover... I'll add or deduct after I've read it.
Oh and I like the title...now I'll add Adrian as a favorite man-name. Ha!

When I started I almost put it down, the rich kids cliche was almost too much. Its twisted, it's cruel and I didn't't really see her as the bully. Some annoying typos and at one point he loses his wallet and phone (ch 25) but picks up his phone to call her.

This day and age, story or not unprotected sex is stupid!

Enjoyed this book. Glad she stood up to bully. Glad it is not a series. Hope they may show up in her other books
