Titus Black wasn’t the trusting kind of guy, even for a black ops agent. And when he ventures into Russia to bring home a missing scientist, Black learns some information that makes him question everything he’s known to be true about his director, J.D. Blunt.
Meanwhile, Black and the Firestorm team uncover a treasonous plot from one of the most powerful men in congress. As Black’s worlds converge, he must thwart an assassination attempt or face dire consequences, including the end of the very organization that keeps his country safe from terrorists of every kind.
Fans of Robert Ludlum’s Jason Bourne, Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, and Lee Child’s Jack Reacher will enjoy this exciting new thriller from bestselling author R.J. Patterson.
Game of Shadows (Titus Black #2) Reviews

I like the steady pace of this action/suspense spy thriller as the author develops the character of Titus Black a little bit more, especially surrounding the mystery of his father's death. His father is a war hero who was shot down over Afghanistan and the records were sealed. This part of the plot adds a bit more intrigue about Black and the black ops agency he's working for which compelled me to keep reading. The Titus Black saga is an easy read, enabling me to read it in a matter of a few days. I look forward to the next book as the story dives deeper into many of the other characters including his boss J.D. Blunt. I am curious if there is more to him than meets the eye as there always is in that line of work. I'd also love more of a backstory of his supporting characters as well so that it adds depth. I look forward to seeing more of that as the saga unfolds. This saga is recommended.

I have found another agent to love as much as I love Mitch Rapp (Vince Flynn)! Titus Black keeps getting better. This is book 2, and I couldn't put it down! Black and Shields are great undercover intelligence agents continuing to fight to keep America safe while taking some of the corrupt power players down. I can't wait to read the next book as well as the rest of the series. Thankfully, I don't have to wait for the next book to be published! I already have it.

Like hell I’m gonna let a sleeping dog lie. Blunt left the White House more determined than ever to find out what exactly Judge Mullen and Michaels were intent on hiding. Even though Blunt had to leave in the morning for a short trip to Geneva, he wasn’t about to delay his hunt for the truth about what really happened to Capt. Black in Afghanistan.

I enjoyed Patterson’s first in this Titus Black series more than this one as it is full of politics. Washingtons BS is not that entertaining. Black had faked his death, but Patterson hardly makes him act like it even matters, not in keeping with him faking it! He gets to this near the end with a mention. Overall it was ok, I do like how Patterson writes, just think it could be so much more. 4.5

Good Story!
Good fast paced story, maybe lacking just a bit in character development, but still very good. Looking forward to the next book in thus series. -
Intriguing
, Blunt , head of the Agency, is targeted. Titus Black and Christina Shields come to his rescue and face insufferable odds . -

Game of Shadows (Titus Black Book #2) by R.J. Patterson.
Full Review still to come. -
This book was another quick read. There is a plot line that carries over from book 1, so it's best to start from the beginning. I am going to guess that there'll be a storyline that carries throughout the whole series. More questions than answers at this point re: Blunt and the stuff that occurred in the past. Hope #3 sheds some light on things, though.
Note: Amputee and hacker tags for Titus' partner, Christina Shields. -
