When Jacinda Callahan lost her husband to an outlaw’s bullet years ago, she realized she simply couldn’t trust God to protect those she loves. So, though Marshal Zane Holloway has gently pushed his suit, she’s kept him at arm’s length. The last thing she needs is another man to worry about. But now the dratted marshal has been shot! He’s bleeding on her kitchen floor, and she realizes she might not have guarded her heart quite as well as she thought.
Zane has always sensed Jacinda’s underlying anxiety. That was the very reason he’d tried to hide this blasted bullet wound from her. But hang it if he isn’t all light-headed! And with a band of brigands on the loose! Right now, he doesn’t have the time or the strength to cosset her. She’s going to have to learn that the God who clothes the lilies, has a perfect plan for those in His care.
Jacinda is flooded with familiar fears as Zane rides off to confront the outlaws. Fears that turn to terror as day gives way to night and he still hasn’t returned. But this time she won’t stand by helplessly! Surely God’s perfect plan won’t be spoiled by a little help from her gun!
Take the next stagecoach to Wyldhaven,
where the coffee's perked hot,
the sheriff likes his apple pie fresh from the oven,
and adventure invariably waits just around the next river bend.
Consider the Lilies (Wyldhaven #4) Reviews

This 4th book in Lynnette Bonner's Wyldhaven series is just as good as the previous 3. This one is about Jacinda and Zane, and Jacinda's very real battle with fear. Something Zane said that really stuck out to me was, "We aren't to trust in God's PROTECTION, but in Him ALONE (emphasis mine)."
Fear is something I've always fought against, so this story really resonated with me. Plus a handsome Old West marshal doesn't hurt, either. 😉 -
Lots of twists and turns make this Louis l’Amour type western with a sweet romance a really fun read. A great addition to the series with lots of friends from previous books. Consider the Lilies can be read on its own with great plot, tension and lots of town folk you will love. Jacinda and Zane’s story was worth waiting for! Enjoy

A fast-paced read. Good action and suspense, but I was a bit disappointed that one of the subplots wasn't fully resolved. But my understanding is that it was setting up for a future book, so hopefully I can get that resolution soon.

Another great story in this series!
As always, I enjoyed getting to know the Wyldhaven citizens just a little bit better with each story. I love their strength, their commitment to their town and families, and their gumption. I must admit, I am fully invested in this small western town!
This story has strong themes of trusting God and not worrying. The author did a fabulous job of showing us how worry can prevent us from enjoying our lives and moving forward. She also showed us that by allowing ourselves to give in to worry we aren’t trusting God’s perfect plan for our lives. This topic was addressed in natural conversations between Zane and Jacinda, and in Jacinda’a thoughts as she worked things out in her mind. And later, in action as the character started to live out what they’ve come to learn.
I love how Lynnette Bonner focuses on one main spiritual struggle in each book and works everything out as the story proceeds, with the help of Scripture to back everything up. I find it very relatable and refreshing.
Now, on to look for more things Wyldhaven... -
I really enjoyed this Historic Western Romance. It's the 4th book in the Wyldhaven Series. I won this as part of a set of this series and I have really enjoyed them. I've given it a 5* rating. As with the others, it pulls you right in and keeps tugging you along to see what's going to happen next. There is a lot of violence. Not really for the under 18 readers. There seems to be plenty of bad guys and good guys to keep stirring things up. This series is best if you start from the beginning, and read in order so you can keep up with what happens to who. And poor Doc, he's worked a lot, just taking care of those affected by what's going on. I'm ready for the next in the series if I can get my hands on it.

Easily one of my most favorite authors, especially Christian authors.
I loved this story and so glad it came to a good ending. This is the fourth book in this wonderful series and I can't wait to keep reading more and more. I have loved this author for a long time. She has other series that I read before this one and will keep reading all her books which I highly recommend them all to you. If you love good Christian western romances, get Lynnette Bonners books. You won't be disappointed with any of them. -
Jacinda Callahan lost her sheriff husband years ago and has never really recovered. Into her life walks Marshal Zane Holloway. Right away, there's an attraction, but Jacinda just can't risk losing another loved one - and the loss is extremely possible. After all, he is a lawman. And there are some determined outlaws just outside town. Lots of action in this story. The 4th in Lynnette Bonner's Wyldhaven series. Loved it!

4☆ Exciting as all get out, with a huge heap o danger! Plenty of scripture and faith shared and a bit of romance too and certainly some tearful moments. Not every detail adds up right when you read the stories back to back, but the story overall held my interest.
Purchased from the author's website. All thoughts are mine alone without expectation or compensation. -
