While I do love me a tournament arc, this was just okay. The fight scenes were a feast for the eyes, but the ridiculous antics that went on kind of ruined those cinematic moments. Also, why was it necessary to cut to Alka and Marie fighting over Lloyd? I know this is a harem series, but I'm already getting annoyed with the amount of cattiness exhibited from the female characters. Selen's behavior was kind of okay because she's clearly meant to be a yandere, but everyone else (save Riho) is just fucking annoying. Not only that, but the audience underestimating Lloyd's strength and misunderstanding his actions is also starting to grate on my nerves. Let me guess, people aren't going to realize the truth until the last or second to last volume? Whatever.

I hate being this negative about this series, but these are a perfect example of small problems overshadowing an otherwise fun story. Still gonna stick with it, but here's hoping it cuts some of this nonsense out soon.

    4/5
Volume 3 of 'Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town' introduces Riho's backstory and introduces a new antagonist. The story continues to add to Lloyd's character development. This series continues to be a good mix of humor and heart with a great cast of characters.
