Just what the doctor orderedā¦ sort of
Iāve been in and out of the hospital for the last few weeks (nothing too serious or life-threatening) and Australia was the perfect book during this time. My attention span hasnāt been fantastic, so short little stories that packed a punch were great. I definitely had my favourites of the bunch and there was even a couple that had me wanting to throw my Kindle against the wall. The start of each story was a little surprise and I never knew what I would be getting. A lot of my favourite sub-genres have been covered and the authors have given us a wide range of characters and storylines to keep most romance readers satisfied.
Iām proud to be an Aussie and Iām proud and so grateful that Iām a part of the romance community that is thoughtful, sweet and caring enough to put this anthology together.

Iāll be honest, Brighton Walsh, I loved Adam a lot more than Paige but I definitely liked her enough to want more.

Willow Aster, I wish all our Aussie Footie players were as hot and sweet as your Lochie, and Violet was my favourite kind of heroine and I easily slotted myself in her shoes.

It warms my heart as an Australian (fortunate to be unaffected by the devastating bushfires) that a massive amount of romance authors have banded together to create Australia.
100% of proceeds will go towards firies and wildlife organisations.
Some facts that reveal the destruction that ravages across Australia (including some perhaps lesser known facts about Australia's horrendous, disinterested government):
šØ Bushfires have been ongoing in New South Wales since September 2019.
šØ Over a billion animals have been killed (the count was originally half a billion, but estimates have gone up), with an indescribable amount of habitats destroyed - this will cause species to become threatened/potentially extinct and dismantle delicate ecosystems.
šØ New South Wale's fire front stretches from Sydney to Afghanistan if made into a straight line.
šØ Some of Australia's firies are volunteers who are unemployed - government benefits have been suspended because they can't apply for the requisite jobs needed to continue receiving the benefits whilst they continue to volunteer.
šØ 29 people have been killed (at least) with over 2,500 homes destroyed.
šØ Australia's government is more interested in discussing the economy instead of acknowledging that climate change is a genuine political concern (Australia won't forget Smoko abandoned us to holiday in Hawaii!)
šØ Australia's indigenous fauna requires fire and heat to germinate - as beautiful as nature is, this process, combined with prolonged periods of drought, means Australia's fire season is longer and more dangerous.
šØ Even when the fires cease, the destruction won't - besides lost pets, homes and livelihoods, mental health concerns will increase; the rain will wash charred debris into freshwater sources, affecting aquatic wildlife and humans; land animals will continue to suffer from habitat loss and starvation, making them easy targets for cats and foxes.

I havenāt read North Security. However, you donāt need to have read the series to understand this novella. Skye Warren delivered a narrative of thrilling beginnings.
Be There With Me by Giana Darling (5)
Giana Darling delivered an evocative novella of loss and love. Darcy and Tennessee have a bond that wonāt be wavered or canāt be shattered by difficulties. Beautiful, intense and haunting, I wouldnāt hesitate to devour a longer version of Be There With Me.

Ah, another lovely tale that whisked me away to a land of dance and thrills.
Waltz With Me, Matilda is a great short story by the always lovely Tamsen Parker. Matilda and Sebastian make quite the pair of neighbours, who might just be interested in a little bit more...
He is a writer, and Tilda inspires him. But, she doesn't know that. She has always lusted over him - that neighbour down the hall that helps her out when she has to peace out for days at a time. He's a great friend and is always there to help. Yet, she wants more. When she propositions him, he comes to her dance class and opens up a world of opportunity to her... And there may be a bit of dominance in the bedroom, if ya know what I mean. Which, you better - I made it kind of obvious with that sentence, just saying.
This book is so hot and is the sweetest little gem I've found in a while. It makes me feel all ooey gooey and was just the right amount of Tamsen Parker to remind me how much I love her writing, while I wait for her next book. It's like Christmas in July for me over here!
Five out of five stars. -

What a super treat this book is. Short stories by amazing authors that are just the right size to get a happy into your day. I have read a few stories and I know that I will eventually read them all. And the most important thing is that these authors gave of their time and income to donate to all the proceeds to firefighters and wildlife in Australia.
Fireworks- Aleatha Romig brings us back to Sparrowās Web with Garrett and Winnie. When Winnie needs protection, Garrett is the one to provide it. And while they have both noticed each other, will this be the time that a connection is made and fireworks go off? Enjoy the story to find out.
King of Libertines- this is the prequel to SEA OF RUIN by Pam Goodwin. A historical romance set among the high seas. Captain Bennett Sharp (a woman) and Priest Farrell are pirates and I am hooked and can not wait for this book.
Where the Current Takes You- a sweet second chance romance by Emma Scott. It is set in Australia and will have you smiling and believing that fate is alive and well and always working to get things right where love is concerned.
The Rule of Always- a saucy little short story romance by Kennedy Ryan with the Professor and his former student. As always itās great to have Grip and Bristol be part of the story.
Sanguine by Sierra Simone. A former priest and a vampire......need I say more. A delicious and scrumptious MM short story that you can sink you teeth into.

Fue una escena tan entraƱable y a la vez tan divertida. Ni siquiera en un momento tan especial como ese, Mal y la banda son capaces de ser serios y adultos. š
Me gusto mucho, no solo narra una vivencia muy bonita, sino que encima la autora supo plasmar muy bien la dinamica de esta gran y loca familia.

Ambas historias que lei me agradaron mucho, los personajes son especiales para mi, y personalmente creo que al leer estos extras puedes llegar a conocer que tipo de libros crean estas autoras, no descarto leer alguna escena mas, tal vez de una escritora que conozca o una a la que desee conocer.

Review of King of Libertines
Short pirates romance, King of Libertines plunges the reader into the 18th century, intoĀ an atmosphere of sailors andĀ costumes thatĀ IĀ highlyĀ enjoyed. This prequel is definitely the kind that picked my curiosityĀ and left me longing for more. It screams adventure andĀ steamy scenes. I am not familiar with this genre at all, but I am completely under the charm of Bennett and Priest. Should have the lady pirate heeded the warning?
"Heāll bed you. Then heāll cheat you. Donāt sleep with him."
I am very excited for the upcomingĀ Sea of Ruin!

Mal + Anne + 1 - Kylie Scott
If you've read the Stage Dive series, then this couple needs no introduction. Years after having read Play, they still remain one of my favorite couples in the romance world.
This novella is pretty self-explanatory with the title, as the two prepare to add to their family. While I love Mal and his crazy antics, I'm not sure a normal pregnant woman could handle his behavior for hours on end.
While this is a super quick read, it definitely put a smile on my face after a long workday.
Where the Current Takes You - Emma Scott
A sweet vacation romance that honors the beauty of Australia and what they have lost with the wildfires.
Kate Collins' trip to Australia is far from what she envisioned when she booked the trip.
It was supposed to be her honeymoon.
Now it is a quasi mini-vacay/work trip.
How things changed so drastically, I'll keep for you to discover, but it makes her hesitant to take a risk when a sexy Aussie begins flirting with her.
Nate is instantly charmed by Kate and will do whatever it takes to remain in her orbit. He's not overtly aggressive, and it is his more subtle approach that makes the difference.
I'm not usually a huge fan of novellas because of the speed of the romance, but of course, this author makes it work. It didn't feel rushed and the turn of events at the end was amusing and not totally unrealistic. The perfect quickie read!

What I loved about this installment is it is a prequel to her full-length release, Sea of Ruin, but the author manages to give the reader enough so that they aren't hanging.
This is an unusual genre, dark historical romance, featuring a pirate. Not something I typically read, but I was intrigued. And what I read, I really enjoyed. First, the main pirate is a female, Bennett Sharp. Second, it offers the promise of buried treasure, with some sexy times along the journey.
I don't entirely trust the "hero" of this story, Priest Farrell, and I'm guessing he is part of the reason the full-length story takes a darker turn. We shall see if I'm right. Sea of Ruin releases on April 28th, 2020.
Fireworks - Aleatha Romig
This novella is a spinoff from the author's web trilogies, featuring Winnie Douglas, who works with Araneae (Web of Sin trilogy) at Sinful Threads.
Upon arriving in Chicago, she is quickly overwhelmed with a security threat at the Sinful Threads office. Enter Garrett Givens, who comes to save the day.
Having read the Web of Sin trilogy, this novella was a nice addition. If you haven't read that trilogy, or any of the author's other books, this is a good intro into the romantic suspense her books offer. A blend of fast paced action, endless twists, and intense chemistry between the main characters. Stories that will keep you engaged throughout.

This book is amazing the amount of brilliant authors that are in it it's hard to choose what to read first. All the money from the book goes to the wildlife and freighter in Australia.

I need more now !!!
I'm not a big fan of pirate and historical romance but what I've read here was just brilliant and I'm totally hooked. I need more of this story like now. This short story was so good and it got us knowing a small part of what's to coming next. There is so much to come from Bennett and Priest. Priest is a guy that has a strong presence he knows how to deal with the life of being a pirate. Also he knows a lot about everyone else to. But now Priest as his eyes on Bennett this isn't goin to go well. Bennett might be the most gorgeous woman he has ever seen and he would do anything to help her.
Now Bennett she is a strong woman being the captain of a ship that used to owned by her dad is a big deal but she can deal with them. Anyone that goes against her they better beware of her. Now she has Priest and Reynolds her crew just got stronger. But does she have Priest and will be make her stronger or weaker. We will just have to find out when the full story is out. I'm so excited for that book. This author is dark and twisted and I luv it I just know that this story is goin to brilliant.

Love the Sparrow Crew.
Fireworks is the prequel of Garrett and Winnie's story. The Sparrow gang are just brilliant I've loved all the books so far and I'm dying for more of the hot security and the Sinful Threads partner. Garrett is smoking hot you can talk into his eyes there so sexy. He doesn't have much of life outside of Sparrow but Winnie has caught his eye and she is hard to forget.
I'm glad we are getting more of Winnie there is still a lot to know about her but she is close to her partners in Sinful Threads and she is dedicated. The girls can't travel like they used to do know it's down to Winnie and she doesn't mind she luvd meeting people and traveling. She doesn't have much time for relationships but one guy that she met has been a big part of her fantasy Garrett. She just fell for him as soon as she met him and know he has just saved her and there stuck in a room together till things calm down. What on earth could happen between them when there sexual tension is crazy hot.
I'm dying for more of this story. I've luvd what I've read from these characters so far so bring it on. -

I can't go past an anthology especially one that's raising money for a good cause and honestly these bushfires didn't directly affect us but watching the country burn with nothing that could be done to stop it was devastating.
So obviously I one clicked this and have read a book here and there then plan to come back and finish it off and I finally got back and read a few more of the stories so I can finally rate it and add it to my reading challenge.
