He’d lost his conquest, but he’d forfeited to keep her safe. Longing can bring out the monsters lurking in us all, and sometimes they take over. But the heart hopes…"

Bad Romance (BHP Writers' Group Special Edition, #2) Reviews

Who needs chocolate, flowers or candlelit dinners when you can have Bad Romance?! This quintessential anti-Valentine anthology is full of tales of woe, revenge, heartbreak, and some incredibly messed up love stories!

If love gone wrong is your cup of tea, Bad Romance is most definitely the book for you. Keep an eye out for "Hillbilly Necromancer: A Love Story" by Shelly Jarvis, "A Name Like Velma Kettering" by Michael D. Davis, "My Fair Minstrel" by Peter J. Foote and "The Ham That Broke the Camel's Back by Wondra Vanian. All of which were standouts for me.

    4.5 stars
This is my kind of Valentines read. Full of dysfunctional relationships, gory breakups, obsession, and deliciously evil twists of revenge. These tales of Bad Romance will leave you sleeping with one eye open. I thoroughly enjoyed how the usual romance tropes are tied up, drenched in blood, and left rotting in a grave.
Not for those romantics who like hearts (not ripped beating from someone's chest), flowers, & a happy ever after.

    Not bad, Bad Romance

I am not a horror fan but when delivered by so many delightfully interesting people and done in so many ways then the reading is well worthwhile. Take a chance on some newbie writers.
