Terror Tract: January 2020 Reviews
-
3.5 stars rounded up to 4. I was pretty excited when I got this grab bag of stories for free. So I start reading it, and the very first story felt very familiar. I kept reading it, only to realize I've read the same story before. Either it was in another anthology or it was a totally recycled idea. Either way, I felt robbed of my time to re read a story. I hate it when the same story is published in different books.
Anyways, the other stories weren't half bad. There's a story about genetic made children, a serial killer neighbor, a serial killer dad, two sisters in hell, a man who makes a deal with a demon, and many more. I'm not huge into poems, but there's a few scattered in this book. The Walk was a really good poem. There was a interview with an author I had never heard of. An article about some lyrics from songs I have never heard of.
Overall, this was a decent read. At least I got it as a free download. If I had paid for it I wouldn't be happy about stories that were previously published were in it -
Great stories
I have enjoyed all of the Terror Tract installments that I have read. My favorite in this issue was the serial killer dad explaining his job to his son's class. I am looking forward to February.
