Marvel Storybook Collection Reviews

This collection is colorful, easy-to-read and contains digestible stories. As the volume indicates, it is mostly made for kids, but can also be enjoyed with an older head. It can provide a perfect evening tale for the younger age group and also serve as an introduction. The sentences are not very complicated, the emphasis is mostly on the world of images and illustrations. These drawings accurately depict the events and the already known heroes and protagonists.
As a big Marvel fan, there was no question for me to read this, and although it’s not specifically for me as it’s full of tales, it’s still enjoyable, fun and exciting. It was good to return to the world of my favorite heroes, even if it didn’t take that long for an adventure. I can’t really find such an interactive volume for children in the book market about the world of Marvel, so I would definitely say that it was necessary and at the same time fills a gap.
In terms of its structure, it tells the adventures of superheroes through 18 chapters, be they everyday problems or real dangers. These are instructive, exciting, adventurous and full of heroism one by one. Friends, family, togetherness, self-sacrifice, saving others, and love play a key role. He also points out that if you fall, you can still stand up and fight on, as nothing is impossible if we want enough. And let’s not forget that together we are stronger, it is no coincidence that the Avengers are also fighting in a team.
The volume itself starts with a Spiderman story. It establishes the further atmosphere of the volume and dazzles us with the illustrations. I especially liked that in each chapter he brings to the fore a feeling, a thought, or just an insight. Not only does he exalt the heroes, but he points out that they are just as human as we are, they can have mistakes, and they can learn from them. Of the Spiderman stories, there are also 5, I personally liked Electric Discharge and Big Wash the most. The former is because Miles and Gwen get a role alongside Peter, so I highlight this because they appear here for the first time in this volume. Of course, they are also in the other four, and through them it is very nice to see that sometimes you need the team, the unity to defeat the evildoer, and the friendship between them is also exemplary.
During the Big Wash, it just took me off my feet that he showed me the ordinary side of Peter, that he, too, was just a teen guy who had to get by with ordinary things. I think it’s important to make it clear to the younger generation that everyday things can be at least as important as the work of superheroes, and Peter Parker is a very good and thorough example of that. He stands his ground not only in school, but also as a distributor of justice. -

I rarely put children´s book here on my reading list, though there are exceptions and the exceptions are the books I want to remember, because they were somewhat special for our relationship with my older son (for now, the younger doesn´t listen yet). Well, he is 8 and he has a superhero era in his life and this is definitely the very first book he is totally interested in and that makes him to looking forward for bedtime. The stories are rather simple, but well illustrated and good length. I am definitely going to get more similar books.

pros: so many stories in once place! don't have to check out a ton of easy readers or worse, put all these individual ones on hold at the library! Morals that I get behind, for the most part. Short stories.
cons: mind-numbingly formulaic. Knowing the basic things I know about marvel characters based entirely on having seen like 4 marvel movies and having a marvel obsessed 5yo in my house, I could have written this book. I could easily write a sequel. SO boring. All of them are so, so boring. -
A pretty fun collection of stories featuring marvel characters . I really enjoyed reading these stories to my twins for bed time. Took us a little over a month to get through.
