I seem to say this every time I read a book from this series, but there seemed to be even more sex than the last volume. If I didn't know any better, I would have to say that the ghost writers of this series were horny teenage boys.
There is a plot in-between all the coupling, though. Shelter is in pursuit of another of his ambushers from the Civil War. He's in California on his vengeance trail. This time around, the bad guy has a gatling gun and is holed up with a gang of Mexican banditos.
