Contamination: The Complete Post-Apocalyptic Series Reviews

Dan Lowry was a police officer for the past five years in St. Matthews, a small town in Arizona. Senior Officer Howard Barrett arrived at the station for the night shift. Frank was the only prisoner for a drunk and disorderly charge at the Down Under, a local bar. Dan went home for supper with his wife Julie and daughter Quinn. Before he got home, Howard called him back to the station. Something terrible had happened and Frank was dead. Sam and Delta were tooling down a Utah highway on his motorcycle looking for survivors. They found the Two Rocks Trading Post. Government Agent Cromwell was deciding which city to visit first; Denver or Baton Rouge. Agent Hopper monitored security screens, wondering if Salt Lake City had been infected yet. Meredith Tilly and John Parish were late-blooming lovers and all was going well until John’s wife appeared in his store. With John’s store under attack, all was forgiven and Meredith went to save him. As the saga continues, it switches from person or group to follow their situation to survive. It is presumed that the infected would only survive for a few weeks before they would succumb to the virus. The origin of the virus is believed to be a government plot to destroy humanity because we've been bad in a left-wing liberal sort of way. Much confusion, a lack of direction, and stupid people that never learn. It’s a slow process and I see why it has been provided as a box set.

GREAT ACT STORY OF SURVIVAL, CHAOS, AND HUMANITY RUN AMOK.

The story is well written, definitely develops the main character early on and keeps on going until you know the character as if they were your friends. PIPERBROOK loves his craft and it shows! I enjoy reading his works because I’m ensured of a damn good read with action, suspense, and realism. His work is always
well edited and all are real ‘page turners’. How many times I have read his work well into the wee hours simply because missed sleep was well worth the sacrifice of missed sleep and worth the risk of being late for work!!! Keep writing PIPERBROOK, KEEP WRITING, PLEASE !!!!!

    Great!

This series is different than the typical zombie or apocalypse book. It’s more believable. Something that could happen…maybe not to that extreme but maybe even worse. Being different is what makes it good! Just give this book series a try…I bet you’ll find it very interesting!
Only 4 stars because it’s missing something but I’m not sure what. Maybe I’m just used to the more action packed full on zom-poc books. Don’t get me wrong, this is an awesome book series and I’m glad I read it…there’s just something “missing”. If I figure it out, I’ll come back and change my review.

    Enjoyable books

I liked the stories. I appreciate you following everyone . .l' m reading these as the Coronavirus Pandemic sweeps the world. I really hope there aren't that many truly evil people out there. If there are, please take me in the first wave. We all love the heroes who seem to miraculously survive certain death. Real life isn't t.like that . I would like to be Dan or Simon. Dave my family and friends and find safety for all.

    Good series

This series of 7 books was an amazing price and well worth it. Apocalyptic genre, well written, good characters, the usual ‘good, bad and ugly’ behaviour to which situations like this are likely to lead. Def get it.

    Apocalypse Read

At first I wasn't sure i was going to like the set. But I kept reading and the more I read, the better it got. So when you begin reading, don't give up on the series. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

    Very interesting. A page turner

A very good book. I am so interested in these types of books. And with what is going on around us in 2021, this could easily be a true story. TW Piperbrook never disappoints me.

    Just As Good

This was just as good as the first time I read it. From beginning to end, the story was well told, the characters believe able with good guys and bad guys and of course the monsters. If you're into apocalyptic books then this will keep you reading to the end.

    Good story

I would have given it a better rating if the books had been proofread better. The word, " hissed" was used so often it became annoying after awhile.

  • Bill Davis

The main characters in this story kept making the same damn dumb mistakes over and over.

  • Mark Price

It took a while to read the compilation, but enjoyed it. It was a bit raw in places but the storyline hooked me in. I also enjoyed the Sandy story added to the end.

  • Kira Curtin

    Great read!

I found it had a good pace and read the whole series in 2 days. I'll be looking for more from this author
