Rising Moon (The Awakened Trilogy, #2) Reviews

This book has to have the big OMG!! Or if not being polite, What in the actual Fuck!!!
Her second book and wow, I thought the Awakened, the first book in this trilogy pulled me in, but if that was so Rising Moon sucked me well and truly into the vortex.
I don’t like cliff hangers unless the next book is right there, and you can stay esconced in the world you have, right there in your hands.
I love these characters, Bennett especially, the best friend everyone would want, but they can’t, I don’t share.
This book was filled with cleverly written twists and turns, that kept you guessing.
Even if paranormal isn’t your trope but you like well written stories, with plots and more twists and turns than a ride at Alton Towers, then you have to give this series a shot. You won’t regret it.
If paranormal is your trope, what the bloody hell are you waiting for? Let your fingers do the walking and talking and get this book in whatever format you choose. Immerse yourself in Wolf shifters, Vampires, Demi Gods, God’s, Witches. Action, romance, heat, camaraderie and surprises in extra characters. Twists and cliff hangers that leave you till the actual end of the book going ‘Nooooooo on the final paragraph.

One final thing, I called it on the traitor Amanda Carol 😘

    Awakening Love 💕

This was a good read and ends on a doozy of a cliffhanger that I didn’t see coming 😱 We learn more about the twins supernatural powers and the vampire’s plan to defeat the shifters, witches and the twins we met in book 1.

This is a very sweet, slow burn romance with Hunter and Aria finally confessing their love for each other. Danger and death still surround everyone on the compound and sadly lives are lost and people betrayed and to read who ultimately wins the battle you will need to buy book 3. The various support characters are well written and fun and there’s a clever crossover with our couples Dani and Kyler and Haylee and Zack from Stefanie Jenkins’ Never Series so if you’ve not read Stefanie Jenkins I recommend her books starting with I Never Planned On You.

If you enjoy paranormal, shifter and sweet romance then you’ll enjoy this series but please read this series in order for a more enjoyable reading experience.

Ps. I loved the cover and I imagined this was painted by Aria even though it’s missing the Impala 🐺

Rising Moon was the anticipated sequel to the awakened.
Now the last book left us sooketh. Like what the fuck went down? Who is the traitor? Will Hunter always have blue balls? Well, my friends, we get all of those answers and more. You will rage, laugh, and cry. We get so much more depth to these amazing characters, and let me tell you Benny boy is even better in this book.
P.S Hunter is no longer MR. Blue Balls. The sex is FIRE.
So read this book because its amazing.
    I. NEED. THE. FINALE. NOW

Rising Moon. Why do you have to be so fun? The whole damn trilogy has been a blast to read and I CANNOT WAIT to read Rising Sun. Amanda Carol, GIVE IT TO ME NOW!

So let’s talk about what I loved, shall we? I loved the character development in this sequel. We have Aria who we last saw have this traumatic experience with being tortured, and now we’re going through her self-discovery of who she is after the trauma and after the loss of her parents, and after her new adjustment at the Compound. She’s been through a lot, which is definitely something we feel along with her. Hunter, we see him become a man. We see him live up to what he believes a man should be. These two characters really make this series shine and I thoroughly enjoy them (a part from hating Aria’s brooding behaviors in the beginning of the book, but that’s just me).

I also love the originality this series has. Who would have thought mixing vampires, werewolves, and Greek Gods together would make sense, but it does, and it continues doing so as the series goes on. The author does this fantastic job and making us actually think these Greek gods were the originators of such things as vamps and shifters. It’s amazing.

Finally, I love the villain. Everyone knows I love a villain. Isabella is a force and I love her!!! That last chapter. I. Was. Gagged.

There wasn’t much I didn’t love, with the exception of some character interactions. I felt like sometimes the characters would respond to one another very quickly.
For instance: sometimes there weren’t any pauses before news is dropped. And the reader is left with trying to catch-up after the news was just dropped on us too!
However, one could say that is the fast paced writing style from Amanda Carol - which is true and appreciated. But Im the kinda person that likes to sit with things—sit with news and see how characters process, and not focus so much on their immediate reaction, if that makes sense.

Other than that, I loved this book. Can’t wait for Rising a Sun. It’s been SUCH a good trilogy so far and if you haven’t read or heard of it, please pick it up. It’s worth the read and you might find yourself loving it as much as I do!

Well after Amanda hand me shouting with the cliff from book 1 I was so happy to jump back in with this one so we could find out all the things.

And just when you think she hits you with the cliff at the end of this book that has you going WTF!

Her world building in this series is some of the best I’ve read and I need book 3 now please and thank you.

I've been desperately waiting for this book by the super talented Amanda Carol. After the cliffhanger ending of The Awakened(book 1) Aria, in this book it's battling the events that happened to her. She it's mentally falling apart and "oh my sweet sweet Hunter its there to support her. Hunter has become such an amazing character, in this book he grows so much as a person and as a leader(Alpha Man all the way). I love the story line and there is a cross over between another book that had me in the edge of my sit and so happy.(LOVE IT). AND FINALLY , we get to see all the sexy scenes I was waiting for. (and let me tell you they are 🔥🔥🔥). The secondary characters in this book are fabulous and they complete the story so well, there wasn't a boring moment for me reading this book, witches, werewolfs, demigods and vampires ( I was in paranormal book heaven lol). Now lets talk about the ending OMFG!!!!! WHAT A TWIST!!!! I really wasn't expecting it and now I'm desperately waiting for book 3, BECAUSE I NEED IT NOW 😭😭😭.

Book 2 in the continuing saga of The Awakened.
    And OH. MY. WORD!

Amanda, I still haven't forgiven you for making me cry, Dammit!

But even through the tears, this story, so beautiful, angsty and healing leaves me wanting more.

I am so absorbed into the journey of these characters, Hunter, Aria, Declan, Bennett... they have infiltrated my dreams.

Seriously, This series is a PNR, mythical masterpiece!

    P.S. Oliver is MINE

*Received an ARC copy, but my review is honest*

Wow! I couldn’t put this book down!!! I need part 3 right now!!! Amanda can WRITE! You are going to feel all the emotions and if you are like me you are going to get no sleep because you won’t be able to stop!!

I feel in love with Hunter. My heart broke for Aria. I loved this book! It is filled with so much and book 3 cannot come soon enough. Amanda Carole delivers on what we love in romance stories.
She’s broken.. he wants to fix her.. their chemistry is amazing..
Again, like book one, Rising Moons flows so well, just when you think you know what is going on, there’s a twist. The connection with the characters kept me turning pages to see what was happening next. So excited to see what happens next!

This is book 2 of the Awakened Trilogy and it is absolutely phenomenal. The characters are amazing and the story keeps you reading and guessing. You will laugh, cry and will definitely be shocked. It's an absolute must read and I can't wait for the third book

    A must read .
After taking my sweet arse time to read The Awakening, I couldn't wait to read the next instalment in this Trilogy.
Amanda got us straight into where she left off, Aria not coping with what she knows of a traitor in the Compound, her fear for her brother and her withdrawal from those around her whilst she deals with the knowledge and also her status along with her brother as Demigods.
Not having dealt with her feelings and emotions on losing her parents the way they did, Hunter takes Aria back to where it all began. Aria is confronted with her parents death and finally opens up to HunterI love the crossover of these characters with the characters from another series (who are not supernatural) by another Author. It sort of to me keeps the book even though Paranormal, still in the here and now, grounded if you like. That feeling by me of, "well it could happen" I love the What if's in life. I also love the Bennett moment when meeting Zack and Hailee in the bar and the "How much you weigh moment" I was in giggle mode and tears with that one.
Finally the heat is turned up and Aria and Hunter finally get there thing happening and its totally
"OMG" definitely not a Demigod moments lol.
So much happens in this book and we see Hunter move into the position of Alpha of his pack with the loss of his Father.
Once again the characters that are in the background and building and developing and I just love Bennett. His total support for both Hunter and Aria is admirable. He is funny and witty and I cannot wait to read more about Bennett in the next book in the Trilogy series.
Amanda kept us guessing with "Who is the Traitor"through out he first part of the book, I for one are quite fine with saying, "I got it wrong" lol but totally love what came from it and the discovery of Aria's friend Luna having some own Special Powers herself, and the revelation of who she really is.
Once again we have to wait for the Ultimate battle scene to come in book 3 with the development of Luna as a major character and what role she will play in Book 3
I thorough enjoyed the 2nd book by Amanda Carol and cant wait to dive into the next in this series.
Paranormal Romance is definitely right up there now as a "must read Genre " especially if it is by Amanda Carol xx I recommend this book wholeheartedly.
    Thank you for your review.

Packed full of tension, twists and turns, this one kept me hooked until the very last page.

Aria might have survived the last attack, but it's left her more than shaken, especially since she now knows a horrible secret and can't reveal it for fear of how many deaths that would cause. The pack tries their best to protect her, but can't accept her attitude issues. While the pack beta tries his best to help her, the evil scheme of the vampires is still playing out. And Aria soon learns there is so much more at stake than just the lives of her brother and friends.

This book continues where book one left off. In other words, it is not a stand-alone and shouldn't be read as such.

Aria's scars run deep and that seeps in her attitude toward others, but at no time does she really become unlikable. Her closing down is understandable and her conflict is easy to relate to. It's nice to see the bond of friendship she's formed, which makes those who don't stand by her all the more easy to dislike. This back and forth between characters adds a lovely depth and makes it hard not to love or hate each one.

Unexpected surprises make this book hard to put down. While it's clear who the villain is, the real plot first comes to light in this second book. And it's not what I expected. The clues and hints are nicely placed with tons of action and tension thrown in between. It makes for a fast paced, engaging read which is simply hard to put down.

The romance holds true and does get a tad bit spicier in this book. Aria's hero is very sympathetic toward her and knows how to stand by her. He has struggles of his own, but keeps himself in check. The next book is sure to bring the two across as quite the power couple...and after the cliff-hanger ending on this one, that will be necessary because there is so much more to come.

I received a complimentary copy and enjoyed reading this story quite a bit. So, I'm leaving my honest thoughts.

Wow! This book was an emotional roller coaster! Where The Awakened was mostly building this vibrant world that you can get lost in, this one goes a lot deeper and lets you get to know the characters more, especially Hunter and Aria. Aria has gone through something traumatic and is carrying around a secret that could shake the Compound to its core. Because she's scared of the consequences of revealing this secret, she's shut down and isn't letting anyone in. But Hunter's a determined guy. He doesn't give up easily, and he loves Aria enough that he'll do whatever it takes to help her heal and get the girl he fell in love with back. And slowly but surely, she's able to open up again, realizing that she doesn't have to carry her burdens on her own anymore. In the middle of all of the action and the fantastical elements of this book, at its heart, it's a beautiful story about love, trust, friendship, and loyalty.

This book has it all: love, betrayal, redemption, bombshells dropped, and suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat, unable to put the book down until you're done. (It probably wasn't a great idea for me to start this book at 11 p.m. That ended at 4 in the morning with a finished book.) Not only did it live up to the first book in the series; it surpassed it.

I'm ready for the third one since I wasn't ready to put this one down. The emotions that this book caused were all over the place - scared, happy, excited, pissed, and sad - nothing was missing. The characters are continuing to be well developed and continue to grow which is always appreciated in any book, nothing is stagnant. Just a simple THANK YOU for an enjoyable read and a fun series to continue.

Woah! What a ride, Like her first Amanda did not disappoint with twist turns and romance. I can’t wait for book three.
I love how Amanda intros friends from a different series written by a fellow friend author. It’s different and unique but very fun. Especially when these characters get to playing in the two Authors FB Groups. ♥️
I love the steps Aria’s relationships take in this book. And the reveal of the trader 😮 wow. Done so right

Another slam dunk from Amanda, who has turned me into a lover of the paranormal...at least her paranormal books. I’m hooked on this series. I have to find out what’s going to happen next and I’ve fallen in love with these characters!

I recieved a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is book 2 in the awakened trilogy and I'm glad I read this.

The stuff Aria goes through is heart wrenching and it shows the after effects of what she went through. Hunter is lovable and just wants to help Aria.

Her books are amazing and I really cant wait for book 3.
