A Vindication of the Rights of Brutes Reviews

The first half of this work was essentially the quotation of large portions of Porphyry's excellent work, "On Abstinence from Animal Food," and therefore nothing new. While I tend to love Thomas Taylor and think the man incredibly brilliant, I can only hope that the second half of this work was satire, as its advocation of beastiality in order to produce new species with beneficial characteristics of both was preposterous.

A classic that should be read by all, especially if you are concerned about animal rights. It is also very humorous, especially in the second half.
