Should be required reading for anyone who thinks they want to be a garbageman for the summer.

Aw man this comic was "ripe" LOL

I dunno, how I even came about to reading this comic, I think I was just doing some browsing and came across this comic and one look at the cover page, I knew I had to read it. I mean twice a week (at least in my place) garbage collectors come to my housing area. I watch them sometimes if I'm outside washing my car. If I'm being honest, I did wonder about their day and what they come across everyday.

This is a refreshing (lol) story telling by people from different lifestyle and what not. I liked it! Oh and considering that this story is actually based on comic author Derf, it makes it all the more interesting.

The artistic style of this comic is very basic, black ink on white background. Very raw and very basic, but I love the way he drew all the characthers, I'm sorry to say this but.....basically everyone looks butt ugly LOL!! But it works well with the story he is trying to tell, I mean why not right ?

I like that even though this comic have very basic art style, you can stil appreciate a good detaling. This is why the comic is so appealing :P I know odd choice for word The comic focus on two high school drop out who is currently working as a garbage collector for minimum wage. And we get to see what they had to endure during their workday and what not.

I'm glad by the end of the comic, they both decided to go back to school, I think a year of doing hard work and learning/taking lesson's from working as garbage collector helped them both to not to take things for granted.

The worse part in this comic is when they had to pick up a pile of garbage from the Kennel, that "scene" when they had "cycle" the trash and it made a poop pancake on the bin .....yuck!! HAHHA ewwww

I going to continue reading more work from this artist.

Spanning the length of a summer, the author shares his (mis)adventures of working as a garbage collector. Who knew having a rancid, stench job would lead to so much fun and mischief?

This is a story I might say: '' Been there, done that'' . I was really enjoining it because I've also worked for a minimum wage summer job, taking care of gardening, cleaning beaches and also taking care of waste disposal and dead animals (mostly seagulls). For me It's was an important life experience. The story is simple, funny, and not so dark and psychological as his later work with ''My friend Dahmer'' .
