Elizabeth I: The Life Of Englands Renaissance Queen (Graphic Nonfiction) Reviews

  • Ioana

    Decent.
Less info on the Queen herself and more on Mary Queen of Scots.
    Average illustrations.

  • Cricket Muse

Admittedly it is a difficult task to adequately cover the fascinating life and times of Elizabeth I. This graphic novel presentation is more or less an overview and covers much in a small format. Shone’s book serves well as an introduction to this venerable British monarch.

  • Duane

It might be because I'm not that fond of the subject matter but to me this book was just so boring and badly drawn that I don't see anyone enjoying the read. The cover artwork alone should be enough to scare off possible readers. I'd just pass this one by.

  • Carrie

Meh. This is definitely not a great graphic novel, but I can see the appeal to reluctant readers. Most of the material covered here is also discussed in the picture book Good Queen Bess, which is far superior.

  • Suburban Homeschooler

Long, and not told in story format, but decent enough for some variety in non-fiction reading.
