One Perfect Day (Romeo Family Romance #1) Reviews

Piper works at an art gallery in hope of getting a reception one day. When she goes to lunch one day she gets pelted by a snowball. She then meets Noah who she helps in the snowball fight against his nephew. From there Piper takes the rest of the day off to spend it with Noah and his nephew. She meets his sister and his niece, and slowly she falls in love with Noah.

This was cute in a way. I wasn’t completely sold by the romance. But it was a quick read that got me out of my funk.

One Perfect Day is the thirteenth offering I have read by Jennifer Youngblood, and I have rated every one with five stars. I must admit to a little apprehension at the premise that one can fall head over heels in love during one perfect day. But Piper and Noah/Nolan did that very thing. Ms. Youngblood fashioned a story that was clean, utterly believable, and satisfying. I cannot help but recommend this novella and all other works by Jennifer Youngblood to all those who enjoy fresh, well-written romance.

4.5 stars…First time reading from this author. I really loved this one. Piper & Noah were sweet and loveable characters. They had great chemistry and I loved how their story played out. I absolutely adored their meet cute 🥰 They had an instant connection and although it all took place in one day, it was so well done and believable. Will definitely read more from this author.

    Content: Clean, Kissing

This was such a fun beginning book to introduce the Romeo family to readers. I've been watching the author's newsletter as each Romeo family member's book was released and kept thinking they would be great reads. Well, I wasn't wrong. I really enjoyed it.

Piper is so close to achieving her dream. She's put up with a lot from her boss to get to the point where she will be able to display her photographs. And hopefully gain more recognition. She takes a little detour when her day is interrupted by a stranger and a couple boys. I loved her ability to be spontaneous and enjoy the detour. It was so fun to watch Piper and Noah (aka the stranger) have fun just being in the moment of life. With an upcoming big event that Piper had, I loved that she recognized that she could also live and find joy in her life.

The conversation and banter between Piper and Noah was fun. He has a little bit of a secret and Piper is in the dark about that. The reader knows as well as the other characters. It was fun how the author wrote that into the story and created a little suspense as the reader is waiting for the big reveal. There's a Christmas movie that my family and I enjoy and the premise of this book has some similarities which I really enjoyed. I think that premise is one of my favorite tropes.

There are some ups and downs of course in their story but overall it was a sweet and perfect day. Minus the hiccups. ;-)

Now I really want to read Zoe's story (Noah's sister).

    Content: Clean.

I listened to an audiobook of this one and really enjoyed it. Thanks to Jennifer Youngblood for another great read/listen!

All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

    Happy Reading!!!

I loved this story. I guessed Noah’s identify from his and Piper’s meeting. It had me intrigued as I knew there had to be something too perfect about the day the two shared. But it was a fun book and I would love to finish the series.

Piper Kell’s boss is a battleaxe—Deidre Landin is difficult, unreasonable and impossible to please. Whilst the socialite diva takes time off from her art gallery to rekindle her relationship with her famous photographer boyfriend, Noah Vant; Piper also meets someone and takes time off to spend an idyllic day with Noah Romeo.

Noah hadn’t intended to deceive Piper, he’d wanted her to get to know him not the famous photographer. Eager to see her the next day, he goes to the gallery with flowers and Deidre assumes that the flowers are for her and proceeds to kiss him.
Thinking the flowers were for her, she ran up and gave him a kiss.
    On the 👄 lips.

Deidre is not one to give up something she believes she’s entitled to and she has Noah in her crosshairs. Overhearing Deidre on the phone with one of her girlfriends, evidently, Nolan Vant stood her up and she’s determined to reclaim his affections stating that “she’d fight for him till the bitter end.”

She engineers keeping Noah and Piper apart by telling Noah that Piper allegedly left to go to San Francisco with a fictional fiancé and telling Piper that Noah was only with Piper to make Deidre jealous.

    His sister Zoe:::
“Tell me everything that happened. You came into the gallery, Deidre kissed you, she told you Piper wasn’t there … What happened next?”
“We went to Deidre’s office. She talked about the reception on Friday, assuring me that everything is set. Then, she brought up the exclusive, wanting me to go ahead and sign another contract.”
“I told Deidre that I’m not making any decisions until after the holidays are over.
I asked if Piper was working. Deidre was surprised that I knew Piper. She started asking questions. One thing led to another, and I told Deidre about the day we spent together yesterday. Deidre then told me that Piper is engaged and that she left town this morning.”
“That can’t be right. Piper said she was spending Christmas in Sandy with her family. I believe her.”
“If Piper was telling the truth then why did she stand me up for dinner?”
“I don’t know. Maybe she found out that you’re Nolan Vant. She could be angry that you lied to her.”

Suddenly Deidre offers her an exclusive contract and two days’ pay to get her out of the picture. Piper’s been concerned that Deidre would cheat her out of the reception she promised her, and suddenly she’s giving her an exclusive. Deidre doesn’t want her to go to that reception, because she doesn’t want her to talk to Noah. If she weren’t threatened by Piper, why would she have done that? If she and Noah were truly involved, she’d be livid that he cheated on her especially with Piper as Deidre was not an understanding person.

There’s a showdown between the two, including an intercom system that’s deliberately left on as Deidre speaks disparagingly of her clients…and Noah chooses Piper.

Piper Kell worked for a well known art gallery in Park City, Utah. Her dragon of a boss had promised to give her a showing for Piper's photographs to help her further her career. Until that time, her boss just was an awful person to work for.

Noah Romeo was a well known photographer whose work was displayed in the gallery that Piper worked in. Piper had never seen the famous photographer and he used a different name for his art. So, when Piper was on her lunch break and was caught in a snowball fight between some young boys and a handsome grown man, she didn't realize Noah was the same as the famous photographer. After spending all day with Noah Romeo, she was smitten until she found out that her dragon boss and Noah Romeo were also an item. . . or at least that is what it seemed. Her heart was broken until she found out the truth.

This is a sweet romance with a happy ending and is a quick read.

I'm usually more of a muder mystery, thriller, and suspense kind of girl but love other stuff occasionally. I have read a few decent romances but this is the first one that really made me understand why so many people love romances. These characters were really something special and everything about the story had me smiling from beginning to end. I knew who Noah really was pretty much right off but was wondering how it would be revealed. I also loved when a certain dislikable character got what was coming to them. The overall tone of the story was a positive one though and it was truly a feel good kind of read. If you love clean romances or are curious about the genre I highly recommend this book.

This is a sweet clean romance about Noah and Piper who meet when some children pelt them with snowballs. Noah teases Piper until they engage in the snowball war against his nephew and his friends. So begins their insta-relationship.
Their friendship encounters some bumps when Piper inadvertently gets caught in the crossfire between Noah and her boss. But as in all good romances, the author delivers the HEA for these characters.

    Heartfelt contemporary romance

I loved this sweet story. Can you fall in love at first sight? What if your hobbies and interests were the same? What would you do: be safe and steady, or take a chance at love and be spontaneous? Ride along with the fantastic characters in their exciting winter story land:) I highly recommend this book! Happy Reading!

Cute and fun novella to introduce a new series. Great way to take a break from the world and relax. I read it in one evening. Noah and Piper are perfect together. Their spontaneous snowball fight with his nephew and friends leads to more greats adventures. There are some fantastic secondary characters that bring the story to life too.

    It was okay.
Piper & Noah were a cute couple. Lots of drama and misunderstandings but it all worked out in the end.
The most irritating thing was "head swung back and forth." I have found this phrase littered over the series thus far. It is a gross misrepresentation of what a head should do. A pendulum, yes, a head, no. That phrase got me every time.

Piper and Noah manage to find out the truth and get together after their one perfect day and Deirdre’s scheming. Jennifer Youngblood has written a fast paced story with a great romance.
