My acts are vicious and cruel, vile and life-taking. My demands are unquestioned no matter how depraved. There’s a monster inside me, and the wounds that scar my soul are dark and deep.

I’m Dante Simone.

Underboss of the Chicago Outfit.

She walks into the audition, eyes snapping with a fire that could cost her life—if she were to unleash it. Piper Tate crawls beneath my skin on our first encounter, making my cock swell like a teenager with no control.

She infiltrates every aspect of my life.

A dancer in my club should mean nothing to me, but she’s more.

The question is how much?

And what do I intend to do about it?

This is a brilliant start to a new series; this is not a stand-alone book so be prepared to have an urgent need to purchase and read the rest of the series! The plot and characters are mesmerizing and held my attention throughout. A brilliant book.

This review is for 1-4 books. Faye Byrd is such a gifted writer. I adore both these main characters Dante Simone and Piper Tate in the Monster Inside Me. This series has it all - nerve-wrenching action, heartache, tension, twists and turns, and the off-the-charts hot, sometimes explosive, sometimes tender, sensual moments only Faye Byrd can write with her special flair.

This book is the first book in a series. Dante is a cruel mafia underboss. Piper is a dancer in one of his clubs. It has dark violence, twists, passion and unmistakable chemistry. I am looking forward to reading more.
