And Emily hasn't forgotten that she owes them an answer once all three items are in their possession.
Will she accept the mate bond, or will she let them go?
**This is a steamy reverse harem shifter romance with some MM. All paranormal books by Emma Dean exist in the same paranormal world - the Council of Paranormals.
Make Out Like Bandits (Thieves of Prophecy, #2) Reviews

Ok, so this one was better than the first book. I hate what happened at the end. Some people are just assholes and shouldn't be parents. But now all I want to do is read the next book.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
As a huge Dean fan I was more then ready to dive back into the world of Emily and the raccoons. They are still working on their search for items of power needing two more but the portal machine is acting up doing what it wants. They end up going from world to world until they finally end up where they need to be. Things go well with a pleasant surprise which makes the eventual betrayal all that much worse leading us to one explosive ending I must say. Book three is going to one fantastic journey judging by the set-up in this one. A total must read for fans of paranormal RH with adorable raccoons in them. I totally love it so I give it 5/5 stars. -
Exciting twists and turns!
Okay so I'll be the first to admit that the alternative-universe-where-Nazis-won trope is overused and kinda stale. But it was done SO WELL here! Emma Dean has an amazing gift for giving complex backstories and histories, without it being boring, and keeping it relevant to the plot. I loved her various alternate-universes because each one was crafted with so much care and planning. This book smoothly transitions between the action and the romance wonderfully, and the ending had me in tears. Emily has grown so much as a character through the series with her raccoons, and we can see who she's becoming now. I'm so excited for the next book! -
REAL REVIEW BELOW:
book is not out yet, why are people rating it??
I'm only rating 5 stars and writing this so the authors ratings for this book aren't so low before it even comes out
will come back in and change rating if needed/ write real review once out.
(i’m keeping this here because someone had commented previously on the beginning part)
UPDATE: Real Review (Jun 11)
WARNING: Mild spoilers for this book & Mika’s series
As with all other Emma Dean works, this book was well written and the plot was interesting. I personally didn’t like it as much as the first book in the trilogy, but it was still pretty good.
I really enjoyed Emily’s character during this book and the last, and it was very interesting to hear more about Corbin and their relationship. (ngl, he’s one of my faves) I especially found the alternate universe where Emily was Mika’s blood raven very intriguing! I hope to see them both interact more in the future, as they are my favorite FMCs in the council of paranormals universe! (so far..) I also am really hoping Emily is one of Mika’s main blood ravens (as emily has always wanted a blood witch, and it’s clear the whole eyrie will be pledged to Mika from her books.)
I’m not sure how I feel about the whole Nazi angle, and that whole storyline, but I’m looking forward to seeing where the next book takes us.
I don’t have much to say other than that, which is unusual for me lol, but overall I did enjoy this book & encourage your to give it a go! -
Bonne suite :)
I always love Emma's titles to her stories and this one is no exception. They are always fun to read and I always look forward to a good Emma Dean story.
So Emily are her raccoons are all over the place in this book. ( Yeah this is why it is such a fun series ) A lot is happening which kept my interest through the whole story. There is more to the story than just the four sexy raccoon shifters. Of course the female lead is Emily a raven shifter who just so happens to be an assassin. In Make Out Like a Bandit, not only do we get the on going plot, we also get some backstory on the characters. Which is always good.
This series is good, fun and memorable. Well done Emma and I cannot wait to see where Emily and her guys go next. -
Second book in the series. I so love how the author has written this series and so many others that the connect through moments or characters. It definitely makes you want to read them all. Emily and her raccoons have been traveling to other dimensions of our world. This one will show several of them. Some just a glimpse and others for awhile. All are different but there are several cross overs to their own dimension. It brings such unique twists. The whole story has emotional moments and for a raven that can turn them off that shows you that even she isn’t always in control. The later part of this story really shocked me and boy was I on my seat. I so love this book and will be on to the next one right away.

To accept the bond or not accept the bond....that is the question
Another great book by Emma dean. In this book we get to see Emily and her raccoons travel through many dimensions looking for objects that will save their world. Who would have thought a Raven shifter and 4 raccoons saving the world.
Throughout their travels they come across some familiar faces...but just because they look the same doesn't mean they can be trusted. Emily and her guys are going to have to rely on each other and form a bond that will help them stay alive. But let's see what happens when they make it home.
Can't wait for the next book 🦝 -
I love this series, I just cannot get enough! Emily is this strong, fearless natural leader, with a wild streak and a willingness to kill. The guys are all so different, yet so perfectly in harmony with eachother. The guys and Emily go together like dynamite and a lot fuse - made for eachother but have this capacity immense destructive force. They fight with eachother, they fight against the world, and they fight for all the right reasons. I absolutely adore them.

While book 2 wasn't as action packed with mayhem, murder, and scary things, it was just as fantastic as book 1. I love these racoon shifters. It's a pity we don't see more shifter books with foxes/raccoons, or other unique shifters. I found myself entertained from beginning to end as I read it in one sitting. Thanks for stealing my sleep Emma! Haha.
Can I just say that ending was amazing. I have a new found love for that demon. 😍 Can I have him?! -
4 racoon and a raven walk into a ball...
Emma is a hard nut to crack. It will take no less than this foursome to get this raven to let her guard down... again!
Reread this book to get in the right headspace for Queen of Bandits. It may have as well been my 1st time reading I was so lost! -
Technically the third book in this series set in the Council of Paranormals world.
I am loving the reality hopping in a multiverse showing what could have been had the paranormals outed themselves to humans.
Some excellent writing as always. -
This book grabbed my attention from the very beginning. I love being able to read about the raccoon shifters and the BA raven. You never get to read about them and Emma Dean is killing it. Such a good boon I’m glad i read it!

Didn't see that coming
Such an awesome carry on from last book. Decisions made, feelings and people changed. Seriously impacient for the next book next year 😭 Can't wait to read more! JL -
Love the Ravens so much and now raccoons!
I love all of Emma Dean’s books. Can not believe I had not read this one before. The tripping through universes is interesting. I can not wait to see how their story continues. -
I was reading out of curiosity and I ended up getting obsessed I need to read all

3.50 stars.

Parallel upon parallel is exposed to us through this series so far showing us all the potential ways the story could’ve and still could go. We see characters from several of the other series through a new scope and get some amazing interactions a reader could only dream. The parallels shown in this book alone we amazingly flushed out and developed while keeping you engaged in the story. I found this sequel much more compelling than the original, though I’ve never been a Wonderland fan. The line from their Corbin near the end really helps place the timeline for the reader if/when they read the other series. I can’t wait to see how the series overlap, more Eisheth (cause he’s the MVP 💕), and where the journey leads to next!

3.5 🌟🌟🌟
Not a fan of the Nazi Theme, but for the rest the story was good.
