After the last four years, Bear West is tired of being the fifth wheel during his family’s yearly holiday get togethers—but he’s not ready to put his heart on the line. It’s safer to hire someone to be his girlfriend. Except when he meets Winnie Fordham, his heart’s beating a different tune.
Winnie Fordham is on borrowed time. She made a deal with her dad that if her dream of opening a restaurant didn’t happen within two years, she’d hang up her apron to join his law firm. When her best friend and partner cleans out the bank account, she’s gotta think outside the box to make her dream come true—like pretending to be Bear West’s girlfriend.
It’s a short-term business arrangement until they realize they might just have all the ingredients to make it forever.

Girlfriend
A feel good book. Short and sweet. It definitely has the happily ever after all romance books demand. Take a chance and read .... -
I love the West family. It was so good spending another holiday season with them. I don't know why, but I always imagined Bear as a kind of grumpy rough around the edges guy. He's not that way at all. Instead he is like the perfect man. I couldn't believe how wonderful and in tune he was with Winnie. Winnie is also amazing and fits right in with the Wests and Fredricks. They both have things to work through, but that just makes them better. I loved their story. It was the perfect story to get me out of my reading funk. I hope we get to read Bandit and Stephanie's stories. They deserve their own HEAs.

The couple: Bear and Winnie
Romance genre: Mail order bride
Series: Caprock Canyon
Length: 172 pages
Plot: Winnie has just been betrayed by her best friend and business partner, who took off with the money they needed to open their restaurant. Luckily, she spots an advertisement for a hired girlfriend just when she needs it most! Bear is looking for someone to pretend to be his girlfriend for the holidays. He has the money to pay for it - he's just tired of being the odd man out around his family. He doesn't want a real girlfriend; he's still trying to get over the hurt and betrayal from the last one. But fate has other plans when Winnie and Bear meet. The two of them will need to decide what they need to let go of and what they need to sacrifice so that they can both end up happy.
Commentary: I picked this book up mostly because I know exactly where the Caprock Canyons are - they are beautiful in a sparse, rigged sort of way, and I thought that would be an interesting setting. While they don't really play a part, it did help me visualize Bear's ranch. I loved the way that Bear talked to Winnie. He was always so supportive and encouraging, and he wanted her to achieve her dreams, even if it took her away from him. He was truly unselfish in his love.

The Jilted Bride's Billionaire Husband -
I listened to an audiobook on You Tube. A cowboy afraid of risking his heart, a broke chef with a dream, and a business arrangement that changes everything.

The Fake Girlfriend’s Billionaire Match by Bree Livingston (5 stars)
This is my new favorite by Ms. Livingston! It works best if you read the other books in the series first because you catch glimpses of Bear in those books and makes you want him to have a happily ever after like his brothers and sister.
What a great love story! Just the right amount of angst, great kisses (Ms. Livingston always writes great kisses) and the kind of family interactions that make you wish you were a part of their family.
Bear and Winnie’s story is wonderful and sigh-worthy, but not without some inner turmoil going on to keep things interesting. Loved it!

Best for last
At this point, if you've read one of the books in this series, you pretty much know what to expect from the rest. At the same time, what works has been largely worth repeating, & there are enough differences between the stories to keep it engaging.
The swoony relationship development is major, but the strong sense of family plays a huge part in this series appeal.
Bear's story is the best of them all. Yes, the constant "I want her", "no, I'm too broken" stuff gets old, especially after 4 books of variations on that theme, but I enjoyed everything else enough to just skim the bulk of those & just roll with it
*Clean romance level: passionate kisses -
The Fake Girlfriend's Billionaire Match
Caprock Canyon has been a very busy place! Bear was not at all happy when his brother had a pretend girlfriend, then does almost the same thing. Little does he know what a perfect match Winnie is for him. Will it progress to something or remain just pretend? -
Wonderful
I throughly enjoyed this book. I couldn’t put it down. Bear and Winnie make the perfect couple, if only they could see that! I fell in love with that man right along with Winnie. I mean how could you not! Get this book settle yourself down for a great read.. just wish at the end I could have had the recipes of all the great food! -
Winnie and Bear
After reading this book all I could think of was Winnie the Pooh. Silly I know but the male lead was called Bear.
Man I tell you having a guy like Bear love you is what a lot of women want but it's so hard to find.
If wishes could come try a love like this would have on a list. -
The Feels
All I have to say is... the feels, the feels, the feels!!! I wanted to reach inside and smack Bear in the head, and yet, I completely understood where he was coming from. Sometimes little old men know EXACTLY what is going on....~ -
The best non date ever
Out of all the "millionaire &billionaire" books I have read in the past, this one is my favorite. I loved the way the characters had reasons that neither of them wanted to get involved so fast, but as time wore on things looked different. -
Fairly sweet read.
This as a fairly sweet read. The plot was solid and the characters were interesting. I think in one spot of the book I had a tiny bit of trouble following what was happening but other than that it was good. -
What a fun story. When I picked it up, I didn't pay attention that it was #4 in the series. It didn't matter because the story is self-contained, but I could see it'd also be a fun check-in for people who've read the previous romances in the family.
