This story is about overcoming misperceptions and deciding what is most important in life.

Ethan was a billionaire and CEO of a tech company in Seattle. When his fiancé' cheated on him with an old college buddy, he decided to take a road trip across the country to get away from his life for a bit. He ended in the small town of Holly Wreath just a few days before Christmas. After stopping at the local diner, he went checked in at the local bed & breakfast in town, only to discover the waitress at the diner that he had been rude to was the owner of the inn. She had been kind to him even though he had been a jerk. Before long, he began to change and see the importance of love, forgiveness and understanding.

Olivia was the owner of the Holly Wreath Inn. She and her husband had bought the B&B as newlyweds but when times got tough, her husband took off so she was left to raise their daughter and fix up the inn and try to make a living for she and her daughter. When the handsome jerk from the diner shown up on her doorstep, she wasn't sure that was a good thing. But, she began to see a side of him that was very different and maybe worth getting to know better.

This story was a lovely clean Christmas romance with wonderful secondary characters. I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.

This wonderful novel reminds me so much of The Grinch who hated Christmas until the Spirit of Christmas entered into his heart.
Ethan has just been dumped by his fiancee, leaving him bitter and unhappy. It is never fully explained how he ended up in the town of Holly Wreath, where he is decidedly underwhelmed. He, however, makes a terrible impression on Olivia, the waitress who served him at a mediocre diner.
A door slammed in his face at the B&B where he has reservations is not the welcome he expected. Olivia (yes, the same Olivia who waited on him at the diner) owns and operates the B&B. She and her daughter are living on a shoestring budget trying to pay bills while simultaneously making repairs to the Inn. Being poor, she can't afford to turn Ethan away. But just like the Grinch, the town and the inhabitants of Holly Wreath Inn begin to thaw his heart and show Ethan the true meaning of Christmas.
Without divulging in spoilers, let me just say this is a book that reminds the reader that happiness is not about having money, but rather the Joy that comes when one shares the true meaning of Christmas to others.

Healing Their Bruised Hearts To Find Love:
    By Korkoi -

It is a beautifully written story about two people from different walks of life who were meant to meet, as they each had something the other needed to help them fill the hole in their heart. Olivia was stubborn, guarded and determined to be independent, but spending time with Ethan who was closed off, a Christmas Scrooge and had trust issues, helped both of them evaluate themselves to bring joy, love, fun and laughter back into their lives. The lessons I took away from reading this story, is that everything happens for a reason, that you can find love in an unexpected place if you open your heart and that secrets always come out. This book should definitely be added to your to be read list.

I received a copy of this ARC and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

(3.5 stars) - Yum, hot chocolate romance!

It was a good story - a fun premise with heart, likeable characters, engaging writing, relaxed but decent pacing, - however, I struggled a bit because there just wasn't any indication or explanation of Ethan's developing romantic interest in Olivia or vice-versa. One minute she's slamming the door in his face & the next he's working for her on his vacation. It made the rest harder to believe.

If there had been some kind of obvious transitional moment from "what a jerk" to "maybe you're kind of alright", then it would have had all the pieces in place for a perfect Hallmark movie kind of story

    *Clean romance level: sweet kisses

    Heartwarming!

This is a new author to me and the story is a nice, clean read. Olivia and Ethan are from two different worlds. Both have an aversion to Christmas for personal reasons. When they first met, Ethan didn’t leave a very favorable impression on Olivia. Then she finds out that he’s the new guest at her B&B. During his stay, they get to know each other better and develop feelings for each other. A sweet story of new beginnings, finding true love and happiness, new friendships, and a HEA. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

    True Blessings

A quaint b&b, two Scrooges, a precocious child and the spirit of Christmas play throughout the pages. Chasing money can ruin a family. So can not accepting Blessings when they are stowed upon you~

    Light-hearted clean romance

Entertaining story with HEA, likable characters with good dialogue, but not much character development and no surprises. Taken aback since it was recommended by a friend.

    Loved this tory

Olivia is spring in a diner when Ethan comes in for something to eat. He is grumpy. When he leaves he states the food wasn't that great. But he did enjoy her hot chocolate.

Later when Olivia returns home where she runs a bed and breakfast. She is tired. A knock
comes to the door and she wonders who it could be. When it opened the door - Ethan was standing there inquiring if there was a room available.

She is taken back by this stranger, but invites him in.

    This is their story.

Loving forward to reading Christmas Kisses in Holly Wreath
