But things are sometimes not what they seem.
Lisa Hodges has always thought her best friend Sue had a dream marriage. She'd married Curt, her high school sweetheart and current business partner. After thirty-five years of marriage, she never doubted him once--until Brandi Morgan joined their thriving insurance company. Brandi is fifteen years younger, blonde and beautiful and is also excellent at her account manager job. All the clients love her and business is up. Sue liked her quite a bit too--until the rumors started swirling.
And it all began with A Nantucket Affair, the island's biggest charity gathering with a catered dinner and dancing on the beach. As usual, Curt is the chairman for the gala, and this year, he has a new second in command, Brandi. Sue didn't give it a second thought, until Curt suddenly dropped the fifteen pounds he'd been whining about wanting to lose and a few well meaning friends started asking her what was going on.
Meanwhile, Kristen's boyfriend, Tyler is dealing with a devastating loss and Kristen wants to be there for him, but isn't sure how best to support him, especially when she discovers a secret he's been keeping, one that could have devastating consequences for both of them.
Abby is busy learning how to be a new mother, and Lisa is madly in love with her first grandchild. And Chase and Beth have discovered a new passion project--flipping houses. Beth does the research to find the undervalued homes and Chase works his magic to renovate them. But then they get in over their heads when a project requires more than they could ever have imagined.
A Nantucket Affair (Nantucket Beach Plum Cove, #4) Reviews

Light, easy series that I enjoyed.

Spaghetti
While I enjoyed the first books & was waiting anxiously for this one. I was greatly disappointed. To much of this book told us what had already happened in previous books. Also there was never any real story line to any of the characters, no real progression of the family’s story, just lots of recaps from what had already been told.
It read like a jumbled up plate of spaghetti, that refused to wrap around the fork and progress onward.
I gave it 3 stars only because I enjoyed the previous books so much. -
This was such a treat I loved the house flipping and the engagements. Kelley has become one of my favorite romance authors. This is another one that I highly recommend.
-
This is such a charming series. They are easy reads and I love the Nantucket setting, of course.
-
These books are so fun. There was something weird though - so much talk of thinness and dieting. Very random
-
I read this author too quickly. Another great story. Enjoyed all the characters. I am ready for vacation
-

A Nantucket Affair is a book to remember...
I chose this rating because this book moved me along with the characters as the previous books had . There are so many interesting people in this book & many unexpected happenings! I liked the whole book & couldn't put it down right to the end. It would appeal to all of us women who love a good love story with a happy ending! -
There is always something going on with Lisa Hodges family and friends. Life is not always as pretty as it seems among a few of them. No one's life is perfect but how you deal with it can make or break you. I loved this book along with the other Nantucket books. I read it in one sitting and look forward to other Pamela Kelley books.

LOVED THE BOOK AND THE SERIES!!! Definitely want more!!

If you are looking for a romance series that will leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling, look no further. This series, and this installment, clearly fits that bill. In this tale, bad things almost happen, but then, it all turns out just fine. And if you want to get engaged? Well, the line forms over there. And it’s crowded. There is a lot of recap in this novel, too, so if you missed the first ones, you won’t have any trouble catching up with the series. It’s a happy, fluffy read, not complicated or deep, and a nice audio book to listen to while you are multitasking with household chores.

I loved every book in the Nantucket series!

*Currently wiping sweat from my forehead*
And she does it AGAIN! The way Pamela built up all the drama in this book really had me extremely stressed out but I should have known that it would all work out and everything would end smoothly, like it always does....
Between the title being "A Nantucket AFFAIR" and all the sketchiness with Curt and Brandi. Ugh, I am just so happy that him and Sue could figure it out because although I was kind of hoping for something to go array as then we would be introduced to a new love interest for Sue, I feel a lot better seeing them work through their rough patch to wind up where they're supposed to be.
And then the flip house stresses with Beth and Chase! I definitely didn't expect the proposal to happen but it makes sense since they had their very first fight just a bit of time before that and I guess Chase really realized how much he doesn't want to live without Beth.
And then Rhett... and well all the stuff with Curt made me think that there was something going on with Rhett and he just seems too good to be true that I'm always looking for something to be wrong with him but to be honest, Pamela needed to give Linda her truly happy ending because she really doesn't deserve anything less.
And then TYLER! Oh, how I was so so happy that Kristen found out because it would have caused me to gain another 3 gray hairs with all the secrecy and hiding. But to see Tyler on the straight and narrow once again, it feels good to see Andrew's input about his current condition and I hope for all the luck to follow both Tyler and Kristen.
And then another proposal! I honestly have forgotten about Kate because she's been kind of low-key since she got together with Jack but so happy to see them moving forward in their relationship.
And honestly, the parts of the books of these series that I really grown to love are the meetings of the characters, whether it be the girls (Kate, Kristen, Abby, Angela, etc.) or Linda and her friends. I love hearing about the recipes they're making and just the coziness of the town and this wonderful group of people. -
Lisa Hodges, who owns a bed and breakfast, The Beach Plum Inn, is engaged to Rhett Byrne, who owns a nearby restaurant. Her children, Kate, Kristen, Chase and Abby all live on the island. Lisa’s friend Sue and her husband Curt own an insurance company. Sue works from home because she also runs the on-line business. Curt has recently lost 15 pounds and is going to the gym and tanning. Their newest employee, Brandi Morgan, is a 30-smething blonde beauty who has been working with Curt on Nantucket’s biggest charity event as well, and people have been seeing them together in the evening without Sue. When Curt buys an expensive convertible, Sue thinks he’s having a mid-life crisis. But is something going on that Lisa needs to tell Sue?
This is the fourth of a seven-book series. The situations and relationships are realistic, if predictable, and the setting is modern. The characters in this novel worked out of potentially hard situations so easily that it seemed as if the author just wanted to wind it up. -

My rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️½
My thoughts: 🔖Page 45 of 224 Ch. 6 - I was hoping it wasn't true, but it seems like one of Rhett's daughters is getting the Judy Winslow treatment. There are a lot of revisions, but I'm just going to roll with it.
This book was shorter than expected, lots of mini plots, it was more like an episode of a soap opera than a book series. My biggest issue is that she is determined to give an ailment to everyone over 50; other than that, it was mostly enjoyable.
Recommend to others?: Sure, every series has that one book that isn't as good as the others. -
Silly. I’ve read some other reviews of this series. They make mention of the Chardonnay. Ha! I noticed the same thing and haven’t even seen any for years. This one was Pinot Noir all the way. So hysterical….who even cares the type of wine? I’ve never seen a family consume more wine though.
I’m giving this one only 2 stars because it was so drab. Up until this one I think I’ve gone 3s. It’s not my normal type of read but having read some heavy ones I’m enjoying this “Beach Read” tripe without having to cross into the trendy chick-lit scene. Also, other than Ken Follet’s The Pillars of the Earth series, I think this is the only series I’m shooting to complete. It gets my numbers up and exercises my pea brain with a little summer nonsense theme. Should be some weddings sprouting up soon. There are 3 couples in this family that are now engaged!
