LOVE THIS BOX SET!!!
Title: Wolf Nights
Author: Multiple (Anna Lowe, Ellis Leigh, Aimee Easterling, Becca Andre, & Steffanie Holmes
Designation: Multi-Author Paranormal Romance Collection consisting of five complete novels. Each of the books in this set was previously released as part of a series but can be read as a standalone. Approximately 900 pages.
My Rating: Five Fab Stars*****
I loved, loved, loved Wolf Nights! I’ve been an avid Anna Lowe and Ellis Leigh fan for years and never miss any of their releases. Lowe’s contribution to this compilation is Desert Hunt, a riveting, full-length introduction to The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch Series and one of my personal favorites. Ellis Leigh sweetened the pot with the first book in her spellbinding A Dire Wolves Mission Series, which is my most beloved paranormal romance saga of all time. I own these books, have read each multiple times, as well as both entire series, and enjoy them more with every reread. Becca Andre, Aimee Easterling, and Steffanie Holmes were new to me, but I truly adored their stories and have now added all three to my favorite authors list. Which brings me to the two main reasons I love multi-author anthologies. You not only get a collection of great reads, but you also get to sample the work of several new authors with no risk, and you don’t have to break the bank! So, did I enjoy this collection? That’s a big YES! Would I recommend it? Absolutely, and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain explicit language and steamy, dreamy love scenes! If you enjoy well written, fast paced, action packed adventure brimming with danger, drama, romance, and lots of sizzle, then this collection is screaming your name! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and wonderful way to spend a weekend! -
I was given a copy of this book by several of the authors. My review is voluntary.
So far I have read two books in this boxset. The first one I read when it was originally released. That is Aimee Easterling's Wolf's Bane. I gave it 5 stars.
Once again Aimee Easterling has created a great female protagonist. Mai is talented, loyal, and snarky. Forced to keep many secrets she is determined to protect her sister and live her life as best she can. The death of her mother has left her with little information about her Kitsune, Japanese fox shifter, background. She knew that werewolves were rumored to kill the magic using foxes and that her star ball was where her magic was centered, but she had few details of the whys or the history of the animosity. She and Kira have kept their fox-shifter abilities secret, wolf-shifters seemed to assume they were just wolves, and she has managed to use her magic without calling attention to it. She is juggling a lot of balls, including a social worker who seems determined to remove Kira from her custody.
When Mai encounters two strange wolf shifters in the fighting ring, one in human form and one in wolf, she has to figure out how to lose the fight as she was ordered to do without making it obvious to the betting public. As she comes to find out, losing a fight is the least of her worries when it comes to Gunner. Gunner has come to town to find a murderer and believes she can help him. When her world starts falling down around her she discovers that this wolf, who should be her enemy, is a worthy partner. But what is going to happen when he discovers her secrets?
The second book is Anna Lowe's Desert Hunt. I love Anna's books and have read almost all of them previously, this one being the exception. I own it, I just hadn't read it yet. I also give this one 5 stars.
I loved Rae and Zack's story. Rae is a she-wolf with a secret. She has recently been sent to Twin Moon Ranch from a pack in Nevada. She had requested a transfer to another pack and was happy to get out of her current pack, she could only hope that Arizona would be a better situation. Zack was the Twin Moon tracker. The product of a Navajo mother and a white father had left him as part wolf and part coyote. His friendship with the heir apparent of the Twin Moon pack, Ty, was the best thing he had going for him, that and his tracking which lets him disappear into the wilds for days at a time. When he awakes one morning, having just returned from a week away tracking, he smells something in the air that he hasn't ever smelled before. A new scent that seems to promise good things. When he finally traces it to the new female wolf at the ranch he is intrigued, until he is told to stay away from her and to keep the other single males away from her. Why?
I will let you discover Rae's secret for yourself. Rae and Zack make a great couple, once they both realize that what they have together is special and worth fighting for. -
I got this as a free bundle at Apple Store. Since it was for free, I give it a try, but usually I prefer vampires over werewolves/shifters...
The stories surprised me in a very good way. It is worthy your time.
But I want to rate individually, since one of them was very disappointing.
First one is “Wolf’s Bane” by Aimee Easterling- a story about Mai, a Kitsuni (fox shifter from Japanese folklore) would be amazing... If the character was a little bit less silly. And don’t let me begin to talk about her sister... Really? The sisters’ characters are super inconsistent. Aimee is not a bad writer, but this one, in the beginning of the bundle, almost made me quit. 2 stars ⭐️
Next “Desert Hunt” by Anna Lowe - it is the story of Rae and Zack. The beginning is very bland, but it pick it up the pace when she moved. Rae is a lovable character and Zack is definitely delicious with the alpha/insecurities problems. The chemistry between the two are fantastic, and showed since the beginning. Can’t wait to hear of Ty. 5 stars ⭐️
Next “The Necromancer’s Betrayal” - by Becca Andre - the story of James (a hellhound) and Elysia( a necromancer). The chemistry exploded since the beginning. Amazing! And it is supposed to be just an intermediary book (#2.5). I don’t think I will go for the series, since I didn’t like much the main plot. But this book is a 5 stars ⭐️
The fourth one is “Savage Surrender” by Ellis Leigh - this is the story of Sariel and Bez. It is a shifter story, where they turn into wolves, and some are special breed called Dire Wolf. In this universe, werewolves are really monsters... It is violent, packed with action, but with a bit of romance. One of the strange things to me is calling super females “omegas”... But overall, pretty good book. 4 stars ⭐️
The last story is “Digging the Wolf” by Steffanie Holmes - this is Luke (werewolf ) and Anna(human) story. They are fated from the beginning. The chemistry and the story are very well woven from the first pages. The backstory of Luke is not very well described and have some flaws, but overall it works well. Even with theses flaws, I love the romance so much that I am giving 5 stars ⭐️ -
This is a collection of five urban fantasy/paranormal romance novels featuring strong female characters, each of which is part of a series but can be enjoyed on its own. So far I’ve read the first two, so my rating is based on just those stories.
Wolf's Bane (Moon Marked Book 1) by Aimee Easterling
As always, Aimee Easterling reliably delivers fun shifter stories with exciting plots. This novel was suspenseful and so much fun! It features kitsune, one of my favorite paranormal creatures (one that doesn't get very much attention), as well as Ms. Easterling's delightful take on shifters. This is the first book in the Moon Marked series, but this story ends on a satisfying note, so don't be afraid of cliffhangers.
This was a relatively quick read that started with a great hook and effortlessly captured and held my interest. It was fast-paced with an exciting, action-filled plot that presented some unexpected twists as our heroine Mai struggled to protect her little sister from an increasing number of threats while also trying to track down a serial killer.
I really liked the characters in this book. Mai makes some frustrating decisions at times, but you can understand why she acts the way she does. She's under a lot of stress but remains quite likable. Her sister Kira is adorable, and I loved Gunner and his pack. I look forward to getting to know these characters better in subsequent books in this series!
Desert Hunt (Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch Prequel) by Anna Lowe
I enjoyed the romantic aspects of this shifter story and the often humorous descriptions of how these characters’ animalistic selves reacted to situations as contrasted with their human reactions. I would have loved to get to know them a bit better so I could better appreciate Zach’s mixed heritage and Rae’s secret. Note that this story includes some violence, foul language, and explicit sex scenes.
If you like urban fantasy, paranormal mystery/suspense, and paranormal romance, give this box set a try. -
First off, I got this boxset of 5-first-in-series books free on Amazon. Definitely a great way to discover new book series (or not as it were)
Wolf's Bane by Aimee Easterling - Rating: 2*
Interesting character/story idea, poor execution. Very hotchpotch. It is in serious need of a good editor (a proofreader wouldn't hurt either). And to cap it all off, it ends in a cliffhanger. Not for me.
Desert Hunt by Anna Lowe - Rating: 4*
I really enjoyed Rae and Zack's story. Likeable characters with a beautiful backdrop as well as a fitting backstory. Would definitely consider continuing the series.
The Necromancer's Betrayal by Becca Andre - Rating: 3*
Couldn't quite decide whether I liked this one or not. Haven't read a lot of Necro-stories, so it was something fairly new for me, which was nice. However the ending is somewhere between HFN and a full on cliffhanger (not a fan of those).
Savage Surrender by Ellis Leigh - Rating: 4*
Dire wolves! Need I say more?! Can't wait to pick up the next one in the series. :)
Digging the Wolf by Steffanie Holmes - Rating: 3.5*
Set in the UK for a change. Made for nice change of scenery. An enjoyable read, whether or not I'll be continuing the series remains to be seen. -
These series are a great way to find new authors.
Review for Desert Hunt:
I was introduced to Anna Lowe many years ago. I thoroughly enjoyed all the Twin Moon Ranch stories. This is a prequel to the other stories so anyone can jump right in without any issues.
This story features Rae and Zack's relationship. Rae has been hiding her real role in the pack so that others don't take advantage of her. She has been abused by alphas and had a bad experience with a wolf that wanted to claim her. She takes a chance on a new alpha and tries to hide in the background.
Zach is part wolf and part coyote and also a loner. He doesn't feel like he is as good enough as the others even though he is an alpha. He and the alpha's son have always been good friends but the alpha likes to push him and put him down. Rae and Zach recognize there is something strong between them but have many others trying to keep them apart.
I enjoyed seeing the characters in this earlier period that foreshadows what is to come for some of them. I definitely recommend you check out the other stories if you haven't already discovered them.
I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received. -
This excellent shifter romance box-set written by various talented authors will immediately capture the reader’s attention until the last page has been turned. The characters in the various stories are interesting & well-developed and at times they entwine well with each other although at other times they are quite confrontational with regards to the situation they find themselves in. The plots are well-paced, intriguing with some unexpected occurrences or events & have some good scenes descriptions.
It is filled with: various kinds of shifters, dire wolves, hellhounds, necromancers, alchemists, archaeology, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, adventure, action, secrets, danger, enemies, threats, hot alpha males, feisty females, omegas, fated mates, friendship, mystery, magic, family issues, abduction, conflict, violence, deceit, betrayal, lies, distrust, doubts, manipulation, misconceptions, defiance, misunderstanding, insecurities, verbal banter, confrontations, determination, romance, passion, love & steamy scenes
I really would recommend this shifter romance box-set to people who enjoy reading this genre, I sincerely doubt that you would be disappointed. -
Wow what a set. I have only read two of the books so far so here are there reviews
Anna Lowe's Desert Hunt
I got to say anna lowe has become one of my favorite new authors. This book us about Rae and Zack, they have little parts in her other books but it was so much fun to find out how they meet and their backgrounds. I loved it!
wow fun
Ellis leigh's Savage Surrender
A dire wolves mission hot
Oh yea I got to say this story is fantastic. So much depth to the story. I was hooked from page one and loved the way the author made the distinction between werewolf and wolf shifter wow! What a difference! Very cool.
Bez of the dire wolf shifters is a great hardened warrior. And I loved how Ellis wrote him so he didn't know how to deal with his mate. It made it seem so realistic. After all he has been a warrior for sooooo long.
Sariel is a kiddanaped omega and since their mates she can deal with him. Great insight. LOVE the action, drama, characters and wow this one just has it all. Don't miss it.
Great add to my library
honest review and I honestly love it -

Super excited all these books are together!
*So far, I've only read Anna Lowe's Desert Hunt, which gets 5 stars!*
I love this series, and have read most of the other books in this series before this one, so it was interesting to see where some of the characters started with this short prequel to the series. Desert Hunt follows Rae and Zack as they discover a connection between them. This angers the pack alpha, who is too set in his old school ways. Rae has been searching for a pack that feels like home for her. She's been in some pretty messed up packs so far, so she finds it hard to trust. She's given the opportunity to go to live with the Twin Moon wolf pack, but the alpha has a hidden agenda. Zack is a member of the wolf pack at Twin Moon, and is tasked with keeping the other male wolves away from Rae. He knows he should stay away from her, but these two begin to feel a connection that can't be denied. Rae and Zack are adorable, and I loved seeing them fight for what they want. Sweet story with a bit of action. I really enjoyed the read! -
Amazing box set!
Here is just one of the thrilling books in this box set.
Desert Hunt by Anna Lowe: Excellent shifter romance! Rae is a wolf shifter who just wants to find a good pack, one where she can reveal her secret. Zack is a half wolf /half coyote shifter whose Alpha has always had a grudge against. Rae finally has the chance to leave a pack that she hates, but will her new pack be better or worse? When Zack scents the new female in his pack both his coyote side and wolf side say "MATE", but their mating can never happen due to duty to his pack. Will Zack give in to his inner animals and claim Rae, or will duty overrule his heart? And what will happen when Zack learns of Rae's big secret? When a dangerous man from Rae's past shows up, things get dicey for them both. -
Awesome set!
I read every single one of them and each book is extremely good. Not a dud in all 5! I originally got it because of Savage Surrender , it’s my go to book boyfriend book lol, after all for Dire wolves - failure is not an option. There’s just something about Bez, all alpha, all dire wolf! Desert Hunt brings in a new type of shifter, one destined for the Hunt, just not the Hunt you think! Wolfs Bane is a - what next? Ya gotta be kidding me book! The last too has a sexy lich (yep who knew!) and cave drawings with a gruesome story behind them. Highly recommend, you absolutely cannot go wrong with these 5 books! -
Worth the price!
The first book is awesome and the second two are very enjoyable. The fourth was well written but a bit hit or miss for me.
I didn't manage to finish the last one. When an author admires a racist Lovecraft (look up the name of his cat and what the monsters represent) and a sexist, conservative, pro-war Heinlein, it's tough to get by. The prose is good, the sultry romance will done. If you can get past the hero worship of terrible people, tool probably enjoy it. -
I will admit that I only downloaded this Boxset because Aimee Easterling, a favorite author of mine, has contributed the lead off story. That take, Wolf’s Bane, was as superb as expected, perfectly written and with a great plot. Having said that, now that I’ve read the other contributions I’m glad I purchased this set even excluding Wolf’s Bane. This was a neat collection of well-done tales, totally enjoyable and easy to recommend.

This is a boxed set of favourite authors
Each book is different and unrelated. But, all are wonderous reads. Hunky heroes and smart beautiful heroines. All have the troubles before a happy ending. If you need to find a new author, then this set I'd for you too. A taste of of each author's writing. Totally reccomend -
This review is for Desert Hunt:
I love all her books. I know when I get one I am going to like it. I don't tell you what the story is about as I want you to discover what an awesome series this one is from and how good it is. It will catch you and hold your attention from the first page to the last. The characters all flow so well with the story. It is exciting, hot, suspenseful, intriguing, dramatic and much more. Highly recommend it. “I received a copy of this book in exchange for a review”.
