She’s off limits. He has none.

There’s a girl.
Beautiful. Popular. Fake.
And my obsession.
My fall.
Probably my damnation.
Did that stop me? Do I care? No and no.
There’s a line between right and wrong. Moral and immoral.
And then there’s her.
I cross every limit with blood-coated fingers.
She says she hates me.
I say I hate her too as I trap her, own her.
Make her all mine.

Ruthless Empire is part of Royal Elite Series, but could be read on its own. For better understanding of the world, you might want to read the previous books first. This is a mature new adult and contains situations that some readers can find offensive.

Ruthless Empire (Royal Elite, #6) Reviews

I absolutely hated the scene where Elsa hit Silver.
I went into this one fully expecting to come face to face with a badass bitch Silver from the previous books but instead I got the girl who takes shit from everyfuckingone around her?

But wait if Silver takes shit like a pro, then her Prince Charming aka Cole eats shit like it's his favourite meal or something. The dude lets his best friend "fuck" her and the said best friend's girlfriend hit her and as if it weren't enough he waits for YEARS before he finally stops hiding their relationship like a dirty little secret?

    So romantic.

Cole was so dark and twisty!

The following ratings are out of 5:
    Romance: 💚💙💜❤️🖤
    Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
    Story/Plot: 📘📗📕📙📓
    World building: 🌏🌎🌍🌎🌏
    Character development: 👤👤👤👤👤

    The setting: Royal Elite School

The Hero: Cole – He and two friends were kidnapped when they were eight and it changed him. He is one of the four horsemen at Royal Elite and is called Famine because he is silent and deadly on the field.

The heroine: Silver –Neighbor to Cole and the horsemen, also used to be friends with Kim. She was cruel to both Kim and Elsa in the first few books in this series and is known as the Queen B of Royal elite.

Every time I read a book from Rina Kent it seems to be better than the last. I just love her dark romances. Man, I thought Aiden (Devious King) was dark and twisty but Cole blows him out of the water. Cole is not only dark, he might be a psychopath. But he has an iron control and a photographic memory. I don’t know why someone so dark and dangerous is so hot, but Cole is all that and a bag of chips!

Though I really liked Cole in previous books, I found out that we really didn’t know him at all. Nobody does since he keeps everything to himself. He is a bit of a Silver Stalker also, he knows everything she does and most of the reasons why.

I thought I would hate Silver in this book since she was such a mean girl in the earlier books in the series, but that is all explained in this book and deep down she is just too scared to let anybody close to her for herself and for them (she cut ties with Kim because she knew her Mother would give Kim a complex if they stayed friends). However, she does some good things for people she treats badly, and is much deeper than you would think. So Silver was redeemed early in the book for me.

Lastly, this book is definitely sizzling hot. There are a lot of intimate scenes between Cole and Silver and they are off the charts erotic. Though later in the book when the two of them were together the steamy parts were sort of glossed over. So for the fans who don’t like too many steamy scenes, this should be fine with them. For me, I like all the steamy scenes, so I wasn’t too happy when the love scenes were mentioned but not detailed.

The book contains items that go back to the first book, including some awesome scenes between Elsa and Silver and shows them from Silver’s point of view which I thought was exceptional!

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

4 OTT HS Drama Smut Stars

For this "review," I am basically going to regurgitate what I said for my review of the last book I read in the series (which was book four...I skipped book five, because #rebel...and because somewhat uninterested, although I am sure I will go back and read it).

    Anyway. As I was saying.

This series is like trashy catnip and I am but a feline slave to its ludicrous premises and ridiculous drama. It's sloppy...it's problematic...it's riddled with nonsense.

    But, again:

    description

    Sooooo good.

    So good.

I think Cole and Silver might be my favorite couple of this series. I'm sad their story is over.

    TRIGGER WARNING

    Plot
”I need her to tell me why she’s crying, because if I know the reason, I can use it and maybe I’ll be able to bring back the look from earlier.
    Chaos.”

Since the moment Cole saw Silver cry in the park when they were kids, he decided that she was his and they both agreed to give each other all of their firsts.

Silver, has always been groomed to be a lady by her mother. To hide her emotions. Silver even ended up pushing away Kim so that her mom won’t end up saying anything mean to her.

“My life has become an image. I act a certain way, speak a certain way, and even walk a certain way. I have to sway my hips gently, but I can’t walk too slow like a slut or too fast like a nerd.
I’m a lady. Just like Mum.”

The only person who saw Silver’s facade is Cole. Throughout the years he took some of her first at the same time beat her at everything just to piss her off. Piano was the only thing he let Silver win at but that ended when she got engaged to Aiden.

And then Silver tried to play matchmaker between her father and Cole’s mother, regretted it immediately. But it was too late. Silver and Cole end up becoming step siblings and celebrated their parents marriage... by having sex on the wedding day.

After that Cole, refused to give up on Silver and pushed her into being with him. Silver like a tape recorder kept on repeating the same thing “We can’t do this” “No” “I hate you” but still always ended up moaning his name.....

    description

    Love Aspect
During the beginning, Cole and Silver did have fire between them but then as the chapters went by it started becoming dim. And eventually, just completely went out.

The sex was boring. They became boring and honestly I just lost complete interest in their relationship not even half way through the book.

    description

It was just the same cycle repeating again and again. Cole wants Silver. Silver tries to push him away with the same words again and again.

Silver hunny open and read a thesaurus please.

The only reason I kept on going on was to know who the Doll-master was.

FYI, the doll master was someone obsessed over Silver, who stalked her and sent her unknown messages. And when it was revealed who it was, I was like

    description

Again the book was being repetitive. I wanted some more angst and drama. Not the same thing again and again and again. I was going to give this book 2 stars but then the whole Doll master thing took me by surprise so I Increased the rating.

Also I was really excited to read about Kim and Silvers reunion but that didn’t happen...........
i was TOLD about it in the epilogue and just a briefed up version by COLE!
I wanted to read about the heart to heat moment you know?

Honestly I don’t even know if I like Silver, I found her character pretty boring.
And Cole, is your typical possessive, psychopathic male...... But I would prefer him over Silver any day.

Overall, not going to lie I am a little disappointed with this book. Would I recommend anyone to read it? I mean if you have been a fan of the series and don’t really find any issue with my review then go for it 🤷🏽‍♀️

Elsa and Astrid, you big nasty smelling bitches!!

i need my bby Nicole to team up with Silver to put Astrid and Elsa in their place, along with their creepy boyfriends.

Elsa thinks she can put hands on my girly Silver??

    description

bcos this was a four star read until that altercation with Elsa. im so mad about it for several reasons.

    1) Silver didn’t deserve that. she was a bitch but so was everyone else. so if she “deserved” it, everyone else deserved a punch to the face too.

🚨*spoilers next for anyone who cares*🚨

    -
    -
    -

    2) Silver was pregnant. Elsa was trying to kick her in the abdomen. granted she didn’t know Silver was pregnant, no one did but Silver herself, but did it give her the right to do that?? hell to the fucking NO.

    3) Silver doesn’t fight back which felt out of character for her. but again, she was pregnant, so she was more concerned about protecting her stomach than herself.

    4) this one is the main issue that fucked with my head and ruined Cole’s character for me— him orchestrating Elsa attacking Silver to what? to teach Silver a lesson to constantly obey him? idk what his end goal was. but he stood there, watching and smirking like a little shit while she was on the ground pregnant with his child.

even if she wasn’t pregnant, what hero encourages someone to beat up the woman he’s obsessed and in love with ??? i seriously have never read a hero do anything like that before? and ive read some sadistic fuckers.

seriously fuck Cole for saying she brought it on herself😭 the one thing about RK’s heroes that i fucking loathe is their inability to take responsibility for their own actions. they’re all truly so arrogant that they’re blind to reality, to what’s right in front of them and subsequently treat the h’s like shit instead of... idk rubbing their few brain cells together to find out the truth of the situation lmao.

it annoyed me so much that Silver doesn’t hold him accountable for that shit. she’s mad for 0.467339 seconds before she hears Cole threaten Elsa and say she better not do it again... bro, you goaded Elsa into attacking the love of your life. you stood and watched, smirking and saying she deserved it?? no she fucking didn’t???

everyone in these series is culpable. but everyone blames each other for their shitty actions instead, especially Silver.

it’s like Nicole all over again. i will protect Silver and Nicole with my life, everyone else can fuck themselves.

i was seriously loving this AND Cole before this interaction. i knew Elsa hit Silver before I started the book, but i didn’t know Silver was pregnant when it happened and that Cole was the orchestrator. it ruined his character for me.

i thought id be eating my words from my last review, where i said that RK can’t a likeable hero. but then Cole came along and fucked me up with his sexy, silent and mysterious vibes with a lil sprinkle of psychopathy. he was ✨obsessed✨ with her from the get go. truly wanted to own her in every aspect of her life and i was living.

but to know he goaded and encouraged Elsa to physically hurt Silver, then said she brought it on herself/deserved it? it made zero sense to me?? the Cole i had gotten to know wouldn’t have done anything that extreme??

and when he finds out she was pregnant while it happened and he legit just says “sorry🤷🏻‍♀️” while she’s all like don’t even worry about it, i forgave you when you cleaned my wounds afterwards :)

    description

    i–💀

hell naw🔪🔪🔪🔪 i wanted to stab a bitch i was so damn mad.

“Did you… I mean, were you pregnant when Elsa beat you that time?”
The memory of that fear of being alone and not being able to protect my baby assaults me. I nod.
“I’m so sorry, Silver. I wouldn’t have stood still if I knew. I would’ve protected you.”

and that’s it😭 you shouldn’t have just stood there while she was getting beat up, pregnant or not, you stupid fugly fuck.

him and Daniel are rivalling for the top stop of my most hated RK hero right now. bcos at least Ronan was unappealing but harmless. the man was just dumb as fuck. Daniel and Cole are dumb as fuck on top of needing psychological evaluation and a reality check.

BUT THEN, PLOT TWIST, she’s not pregnant.

but it didn’t change the fact Cole orchestrated the fight between the two girls, and just stood by and watched. he lost all my respect then.

any time he did something nice afterwards i was just like

    description

i truly couldn’t see past it. it ruined the whole book. all their cute vibes down the drain. instead they made me wanna gouge my eyes out with a spork and be done with the whole book.

safe to say, RK ruined my whole damn mood today😒

and let’s not even talk about the damn “Doll maker” plot line😭😭😭 it felt like a fucking fever dream and took every ounce of my brain power to figure out wtf was going on.

  • Madita

See I loved Cole as a person but there was too much going on at the same time.
And the plot-twist came out of nowhere it just didn’t make any sense at all.
The plot could have been left out completely since it was separate from the entire story and didn’t give it the interesting ending that I expected.

*ARC PROVIDED FOR AN HONEST REVIEW *

There are not enough words to describe this book , and i don't think anything I'll write will make justice to this masterpiece.

I don't know how but Rina Kent made me once again speechless .

This book was everything and more i was expecting .

It was the only possible closure , all the doubts where finally answered ,and we had the opportunity to finally meet the real Cole and the real Silver ,and i wasn't disappointed at all .

What surprised me the most was the creepy part of this book , i'm not gonna spoiler anything but you should get ready for some pretty creepy and mind-blowing PLOT TWISTS ....

-this is an idea of what you should expect ( and it's not even the creepiest thing) ————>

"YOU CAN'T BE OBVIOUS WITH DOLLS.

PEOPLE SAY THEY DON'T SEE, BUT THEY HAVE EYES.

THEY SAY THEY DON'T FEEL , BUT THEY HAVE SKIN.

THEY CAN BLEED TOO IF YOU RUN A KNIFE OVER THEIR BODIES"

Our Captain gave his best in this book , all the little clues from the previous book , come all together to destroy our sanity in this one .

"OBSERVATION IS THE SOURCE OF ALL EVIL.

IF YOU FAIL AT IT, YOU'RE SCREWED . IF YOU'RE THE SUBJECT OF IT , YOU'RE ALSO SCREWED "

I've never read about a more calculated, subtle and evil person before this book.

His calculation and nerdy style can keep you always on the edge like no one else .

During the book there's a visible change in Cole's behavior , don't get me wrong , he's the usual manipulative , subtle sexy nerd , but getting closer and closer to Silver he became even a little sweeter (if we can call it that 😂)

"SHE'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE MY CALM . AND YET, WHEN HER HEAD FALLS ON MY BACK AND HER WARMTH MINGLES WITH MINE, I REALIZE SHE'S THE ONLY CALM I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. EVEN BOOKS DON'T COMPARE -- AND THAT SAYS SOMETHING. SILVER IS THE BEAUTY AND THE UGLINESS. THE CALM AND THE CHAOS. "

Since they were little a special bound was formed between them , a bond made with "ropes" that will destroy and save them at the same time . Secrets were the glue that kept them together no metter what.

Silver tried so hard to fight her feelings , she hide , she run but in the end she would alway fall back between the evil's arms . Her damnation became her salvation in a very twisted and unconventional way .

He challenged her , he despised her in public and owned her ,in the darkest nights ,behind closed doors .

They became each other addiction , and in Silver and cole's case everything was amplified . I wasn't ready for all that chemistry and sexual tension (and others interesting stuff 😉)

"-YOU'RE THE ONLY THING I'VE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO THINK THROUGH-

MY BREATH SHORTENS , BUT I WHISPER, - 'BECAUSE I'M YOUR CHAOS ?'-

-'BECAUSE YOU'RE THE REASON I LOOK FORWARD TO NEW DAYS' - "

So we're sadly arrived at the end of this beautiful series that made us question our sanity , fall in love and sometimes angry than ever with some charters but i wouldn't change a thing .

This series gave me so much , I took with me something from each characters and i'm starting to understand that everyone wears a mask , you just have to find the right person who's disposed to drop it for you .✨

THIS BOOK AND THIS SERIES DESERVES NOT 5 , NOT 6 BUT 13332 STARS

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    I hope you'll enjoy it like i did 😉

She ruined it. She ruined everything. She killed the small living part in my chest, and now,I’ll kill her in return.

Ruthless Empire is the sixth book of the 'Royal Elite' series by the best selling author Rina Kent. Told in dual perspectives , this book was literally RINA KENT at her damn best!!

I had been waiting for this book for like ever!!! And every second of that wait for Cole Nash was worth it! He is chaos in the purest form. None of you are prepared for the storm these two bring with them. When I first knew that Silver would be Cole's match , I wasn't that excited because we all know she is Queen B. But I was so damn shocked in this book. Silver is not who we know. There is so much more to her!!

Cole and Silver have known each other since their childhood. They both had a mutual dislike for each other. That is until they found peace with each other on their worst day together. Weaknesses were shared and a bond was formed. A bond that lasted forever.

Silver is the queen bitch. She has an image to maintain and damn that girl takes her role seriously. My heart hurt so much for her. She was so lonely. Sometimes it was like Cole was the only person who knew her. She had so many regrets. There were unforgivable things she did , things that had a reason. All I hoped throughout the whole book was that she would confess her damn secrets!! That girl is so secretive!

Cole Nash is a mystery. He is the outward gentleman you will meet, but the silent villain who won't hesitate to rip you into pieces if you came in his way. There was so much more to cole and he is the damn best character Rina has ever created. I loved being in his mind. The way he saw things was different from anything I have ever seen! None of you are ready for the chaos Cole Nash is going to bring at you!! ohh and I also know who the 'dog' was in his car !! lol :)

"Word of advice, never give me your back.” In a second, he’s behind me, his hot breaths tickling my skin. “I’ll take it as an opening to attack.”

Both Cole and Silver had a very complicated story. Both wanted each other and hated each other. Things got even more complicated when their parents got married. But Cole was not going to let anyone come in his way. Silver was his and that meant nothing would ever keep them apart.

There were a lot of other things that I loved about this book! Like the added humour of Ronan had me laughing so hard! He is the most funniest character I have ever met and I just wanted to grab him out of the book and hug. Teal might end up killing me for that though.

“Silver, mon amour, your tits are beautiful but not beautiful enough to have me cause damage to Ron Astor the Second.”
    .
    .
“Yo,” Ronan’s stoned voice comes from the door. “The fuck? You have a threesome and I’m not invited?”

This book was everything you would expect and so much more! It won't matter how much long I make this review , you won't understand the awesomeness of this book until you read it yourself!!! This is one of those books that is not to be missed and I loved every second of it! Cole Nash is literally one of my top anti heroes now. Recommended to all the dark Romance lovers out there!

i can't even put into words how much i hated this

  • Bookadmirer

“Show me your titties,” Cole says out of freaking nowhere.

My eyes widen so hard and I swallow as if that will somehow erase what I’ve heard.

His face remains neutral, even though his lips twitch as if to smile — or smirk.

“N-no!” I cross my hands over my chest.

It's a decent read, though could have been better. The final epilogue was sweet, ending with all couple

Cole and Silver were virgin. I have no problem with non virgin hero or heroine. However, I really dislike when a hero claims to love the heroine but then sleeps with multiple women. Not cool man. Cole is obsessed with Silver. Although it was implied he wasn't virgin but it wasn't true. He never denied it in front of his friends because of Ronan.

The first sex scene is a bit controversial. I didn't like it. For me it was non consensual.

I kind of guessed the doll maker is Coles mother. How did I guess? I have a habit of checking the last chapter before I start a book. I know it's cheating but I can't help it. I do it mostly if I don't get spoiler. I always check spoilers before reading but it's newly released and there wasn't any spoiler. But remember, the epilogue doesn't inform that Coles mother is the doll maker or not. But it implies Cole doesn't miss her. So when I read about the doll maker I kind of guessed its his mother.

The lack of friends in this book really bothered me. There are many things felt too rushed. I didn't like Aiden before and now the feelings remained same because he didn't do anything when Elsa punched Silver. He knew she was pregnant. Although she wasn't, it was false alert but in that time Silver didn't know that and she tells Aiden she is pregnant with Coles child.

I learned a British slang from this book. It's Wanker . It was really annoying because of the repetition of Wanker in this book.

The reason behind Silver breaking her friendship with Kim was lame and didn't make sense to me. Unlike other book we barely got any content of Xander, Ronan and Teal which sucks cause it's the last book of the series. Also the ending was rushed. And what's with Knox's new life?

I can go to an Eastern European country and live there alone forever. I can go to Finland. They have the most beautiful landscape I’ve ever seen.

This paragraph... If I had money I would have gone to Finland already. My poor ass can't relate.

    1.5 stars

Soooo i just finished reading this book, it was my most anticipated book but i am sooo fucking disappointed. Its like a mixture of Steel Princess and Black Knight, literally there is nothing till 80%, all Silver and Cole does is fuck each other. Seriously, there is only sex and nothing else, when they talk, they just talk about sex or how they ll fuck. Throughout the whole book, Cole’s dialogue is that he is gonna fuck silver and she belongs to him, like seriously they talk about nothing else, LITERALLY NOTHING, and 90% of Silver’s dialogue is “i hate you”. i mean....NOTHING HAPPENS IN THIS BOOK EXCEPT FUCKING. I am so disappointed, i mean, it was steel princess all over again but some of the things were similar to black knight. There was suspense, there was a stalker who was obsessed with Silver but it was hella predictable, when I first read about the stalker, i knew who it was. The story begins with how Cole claims Silver, they keep fucking till 85% and then there is a bit of a story other than sex and then the end. Even in this book, Elsa and Aiden were highlighted more than Silver and Cole. Ugh, i am so disappointed, idk what to say. It was a waste of time, i mean they dont even talk about other things except sex in different positions. There is no story except Cole saying Silver she belongs to her and her saying No. thats all, 😪😥😥😥. Ugh! Some of the scenes were cute, and Cole was good to Silver at some parts, he cared about her and i liked that and also how the stalker thing was revealed even tho it was predictable as fuck. Thats why 1.5 stars, tho this book is worse than vicious Prince.

  • CourtRocks (Villains Do It Better)

    4 Stars!

I really liked this one too, though I wouldn't say it necessarily lived up to my expectations for Cole (Aiden and Ronan are still better imo). But it's also fine because Rina didn't go the annoying usual route of OTT drama. Instead, it was more of their building relationship with a side of suspense. I guess that's one thing I actually really like about this author, is that she doesn't tend to go the typical route of manhos with a bunch of OP drama that takes away from their actual relationship, at least what I've seen so far from her. I can also tell her writing has gotten so much better from the first books in this series. There is still some repetitiveness like Silver saying "wanker" and "I hate you" over and over again which was so ANNOYING, and again with the childhood trauma and parent dramas, but this plot did feel a bit different thankfully, so it didn't bother me as much.

I surprisingly really liked the flashbacks at the beginning of the book too from when they were younger. Cole is a devious little kid haha. I'm also glad they actually did what they said they would do and saved their firsts for each other unlike some other books *ahem prettyrecklessbrokenknight ahem*. It definitely made me root for them more that they were literally IT for each other, so I def would have liked to have found our earlier that Cole was a virgin, but whatever. And also no OW drama thankfully, but I also thought it was kind of funny how they were constantly using other people to make each other jealous, which I was fine with seeing as they were only interested in each other, and they totally get off on it lol. I'm also legit obsessed with all the horsemen's interactions and wish we had more in here. And how they spread rumors and lies about each other too, freaking Ronan haha, is the best, and I'm glad they really did end up to be lies.

The timeline did feel a bit wacky though. I feel like there are just too many books in this series for the books to all be out of order, and it is hard to keep track of events that happened in the other books, especially when the character was trying to explain why something happened when it did. Such as Silver trying to justify why she did all that to Kim. I wish we had some of the events that happened on screen in other books, to happen here too, that way we could see what was going through their head at that time. All the mentions of Kim, and no actual Kim appearing, was boring.

Also, one thing I noticed, is that Rina does this really great build up to the climax, but when it happens, she fails to deliver an actual impact after all that. We have all this suspense and mysteriousness just for it to be wrapped up in literally like 5%. I do like the epilogues she does at the very end, but I hate how everything wraps up so quickly and then it's boom, epilogue time. And btw who the doll master actually was, is legit gross. Not sure how obvious or not it was though since I might have seen a spoiler already before starting it, oops.

And then a couple more things that I noticed that while they don't affect my rating really, I just wasn't a big fan of them. One would be all the voyeurism. The whole sex club thing where they get off on watching other people, and then think about it whilst having sex, just didn't do it for me. I love kinky, even wish there was more of it here, but it just didn't make sense that with how obsessed they are with each other, that they prefer to watch other people have sex. I am glad that there was no sharing or anything like that though, which people tend to do in sex clubs in books. Cole was possessive through and through, though he definitely gets points docked off for watching Silver get beaten and not doing anything about it (that scene can also never NOT be cringey).

And lastly, one more thing that I didn't care for was the pretty much no explanation on why he had a pic of a naked woman tied up on his phone. I can't remember if they said they knew her or not, but was Cole the one that did it and took the pic? We know he was a virgin, but he said he tried to go all the way so does that mean he tried to go all the way with more girls? Has he tied up a lot of girls? Or just Silver? Did he do any other stuff with them? On one hand, I'm glad it was vague if he really did other stuff with any other women, but on another, I wish it was more clear with how loyal he was to Silver. You can't be mad that someone took her first waltz if you've been tying and doing other stuff to girls.

Overall, I've really liked all the books in the series, well, except for Black Knight, still hate that one. The first books in the series aren't written as good, but they still kept my interest and I love all the MCs (except Kim). And I know there are a lot of comparisons, but this almost feels like the All Saints High series that we should have had but didn't, bleh, so I don't even care for the similarities. Now bring on Daddy King!

doggy, missionary, cowgirl, reverse cowgirl, upside down, inside out, one leg up, two legs up, in public, on a spaceship, in the garden, on the grass, in a car, in a box, on a table, against a wall!!!!!!! just honesty BREAK MY FUCKING SPINE COLE

  • Birjis

The fourth horsemen at the Royal Elite, Cole, has a creepy vibe. Because of his silent and deadly nature he is called Famine. Outside he is a good boy, a nerd and mamma's boy but below that facade is a calculated and subtle man.
Silver is torn between her divorced, over-achiever parents. She loves them and they love her, to keep them happy and make them happy Silver changed herself to fit and play their favoured role. As a consequence she lost all her close friends and is surrounded by fake people.

"You’re fake, but not with me. Never with me.”
    “Shut the fuck up, Cole.”
“Uh-oh, Miss Prim and Proper is cursing.”
“I hate you. I hate you so much.”

Cole and Silver share a bond since they were kids. They hate-like each other. Silver tries to fight her feelings for Cole. In his presense it feels like she turns on her 'brat' mode which makes her feel foolish. While Cole is mocking at Silver's fakeness and also seducing her, their relationship turn complicated when their parents marry.

    “Here’s the thing, Butterfly, I can’t stop.”
    “Why not?”
“Because you’re my chaos, and I can’t survive without chaos.”
    “I’m chaos?”
“The worst of all. The most beautiful of all. And you know what? You might as well be the deadliest.”
My breathing chops off. “Are you ever going to let me go?”
    “Are you?”

Their relationship was complicated but not so complicated and difficult as taboo stories are. After their HEA it took time to come open about their relatonship to the world.
What I like about this book is the story about Guv and the doll. It's a dark, creepy, twisted story which totally matches Cole. The villain was perfectly hidden. Cole and Silver's story was better than Knight and Kim, but the stories are losing it's touch. Rina Kent can build an awesome climax of a story but unreason lameness doesn't let the story reach it's peak. If you've been continuing this series Cole and Silver's story will be hard to miss.

rina is literally wasting her time writing about characters like those who shall not be named from black thorns when she can be writing about silver’s parents, sebastian and cynthia instead!

  • The Girl Murdered by Her TBR

    5-RINA-KENT-DROPPED-A-FUCKING-BOMB-THAT-I'LL-NEVER-FORGET-STARS!!!

Literally me after reading this book:

    description

Okay. I'm sorry but this book review will contain a lot of cuss words, like a lot.

Holy shit. Holy shit. Holy shit. She did that. She freaking did that. I can't believe it. I went from an apprehensive reader to a rina-kent-can-have-all-my-money-for-this-masterpiece reader. She is that good people!

As I've said from my earlier review about this book (that you can read at the bottom part) I was terrified of this book. It's the last book from Royal Elite series and the most forbidden and complicated one. I tend to stay away from forbidden romances because it creeps me the hell out. As I was reading the first part of this book, I almost gave up. I said to myself, how is she going to end this? How is it possible to end this kind of story? But if there was one thing I've learned while reading the previous stories in this series- it is Rina Kent ALWAYS DELIVERS. She has the ability to blow people's mind in her story-telling techniques.

This book is the last one for this series. And I'm glad that I freaking adored it, I got hooked by reading Levi and Astrid's story (I remember pulling an all-nighter that day because I can't seem to drop my kindle). And the cycle repeated to Aiden & Elsa, Ronan & Teal, and most especially Xander & Kim's story (Xan and Kim are my fave couple).

When I was just starting to read this I told myself that maybe this would be just a three-star read, because I don't like this genre. I don't like complicated conflicts in which I am sure no one can escape without a damage to the characters. I also don't liked the two main characters at first, when they are introduced to the other horsemen's story. They seemed so toxic and chaotic. ( Cole's word not mine). They were in each other's throat all the time; they were both stubborn, secretive, and proud- in short all of the traits I loath for a Main Character.

The plot twist is the main reason why I devoured this book. It wasn't revealed until the near end of the story but to hell with it! I didn't see it coming. I never saw it coming. The author is that good. Period.

It's like Rina Kent is looking down from heaven and says these words to me:

Doubt no more. I'm here. And I am going to blow your mind out. Rina Kent style.

I'm probably overreacting but I couldn't care less.

    (Pre-reading review)

If I’m being honest. I am really terrified of this book. Like out of all of the stories throughout this series I am not looking forward to Silver and Cole because of their relationship. I don’t like it, not at all. I never really like the genre of this book, it kinda freaks me out. But dang it! I need to know what happens. I need to know why Cole and Silver acts the way they do.

I need all the will-power I can get. And all the luck, I guess.

FIVE BUTTERFLY STARS for Silver and Cole 💛🖤💛🖤!!!

    🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I can’t believe this is the last in the "Royal Elite" series 😭😭😭!!!

I liked every book in this series and I was especially looking forward to "Vicious Prince", Ronan’s book.

But, I have to admit that as much as I loved Ronan, Cole is the one who stole my heart.

This book is all you could wish for from the last book in any series.

Not only did the book answer all the questions that kept spinning in my head since I read the first book in this series, but it showed the main characters in a new light and it also showed that the characters are never what they seem at first, but we need to see their side of the story so we can to understand them.

Rina proved once again that she is a master at creating complicated and very interesting characters and a plot whose ending only a few individuals would have predicted.

This book simply left me speechless...

"Ruthless Empire" is the sixth book in the "Royal Elite" series.

It's a dark bully high school romance with forbidden love and enemies to lovers tropes.

Silver is a female character who completely surprised me in this book.

Not only did I discover some completely different and hidden side of her, but I also got answers for her behavior that I was familiar with from previous books.

And because of all that, she became one of my favorite female characters from the book world.

Cole is one perfectly imperfect male character.

There were moments in the book when he just got on my nerves because of his bad behavior towards Silver.

But in the end, when he finally admitted to himself his feelings for Silver, he broke my heart in a good way.

Hmm... I think I have a new book boyfriend.

Silver and Cole's relationship has been complicated from the start thanks to the life situations they have found themselves in.

Although they spent a lot of time teasing each other and competing over who was better, in the end, it all contributed to an explosive relationship that neither of them had hoped for.

If you've read the previous books in the "Royal Elite" series and also love Rina's writing style, then this is absolutely book for you!!!

    Highly recommended!!!

    P.S. Can't wait for Jonathan's book 😍❤🔥!!!

“Go home, Silver.” I barge in front of him, wrap my arms around his waist, and rest my head against his chest, breathing in his scent. “What are you doing?” he asks without hugging me back. “You told me to go home. You’re my home, Cole.” let me go hug my pillow and cry.

  • .

um so disappointed in this book. silvercole were literally all sex. a lot of stuff happened that DIDNT EVEN MAKE SENSE. it felt like i was reading a shitty wattpad book. a lot of stuff in this book had me like wtf.. like for example the first time she added a black person is when a black guy is having sex w a white girl. weird. and then when silver literally thought that abortions were about killing babies and literally bashed everyone who has had an abortion. im pro choice so it’s obvious silver n rina kent aren’t. the talking about wars was a little too much considering what we’re going through. did u forget ACAB??? the writing was really bad. i didn’t feel silvercole’s love for each other when i say all they had was sex i’m being honest like okay pack it up allie & dean 🙄. it was clearly obvious she didn’t know what to do to make silvercole a better couple that she had to add unnecessary shit. hopefully the epilogue gives me what i need. AKA CLOSURE. also out of everything in this book the one thing i’m mad about is the INCONSISTENCY. silver talked about how she missed kim and still cared for her DEEPLY. she talked about kimberly a lot. so i’m thinking rina kent will give us silver’s pov on their reunion and silver apologizing to her n give us all that. BUT NOOOO. in COLES POV AKA THE EPILOGUE he tells us in a summed up version that they made up 🙄🙄 BS thank u RINA KENT for making another SHITTY book n that includes AIDENELSAS BOOKS. also u should definitely rewrite xanderkim’s book bc why tf they get together at the middle end.. anyways stan xanderkim for clear skin ty n goodnight 🙈😌

Rina Kent i love you. Thanks for write this book. Its was perfect, all the book.

I imagine Cole as Zayn, and Gigi as silver. The truth is that these books captivated me from moment zero, although they are unconventional, it touches all the subjects. What can I say, I love dark romaces. I know there is only one book left, but I'm not ready for this saga/series end :( .

    description

I am in love with Cole. All of this books were amazing, I enjoyed all of them. The best thing is that they were like 400 pages, and it was not heavy at all. This book had all that I’m was expecting to had. Congratulations Rina .

    “Here’s the thing, Butterfly, I can’t stop.”
    “Why not?”
“Because you’re my chaos, and I can’t survive without chaos”

“One day, I’ll shout at the top of the world that you’re mine.”
    “And you’re mine, Silver, always.”
    “Always.”

I can't wait to read the last one. I was very happy reading it. Nice reading in quarantine.

I still didn’t like Silver I have to admit she was too self centred for my tastes but the plot was really good and engrossing. This book was a lot better than Ronan and Teal’s one but seriously what is going on with all the love for being a voyeur? What is wrong with just liking sex with your partner without the need of extra titillation of watching other people first? Oh well ignoring the disliking of Silver and my personal dislike of voyeurism it was still a good book.

Nothing fucking happens. I hate it here

    3-3.5🌟

Slightly better than Aidenelsa but still not what i expected. I think my expectations were high after those breadcrumbs about Cole and Silver but they kinda let me down😩

There wasn't any character development and they were both very mehhh😐

Silver was not the badass mean ice princess she was just very insecure and a bully.
Cole was like a cheap replica of Aiden. Seriously they had the same character. Above average IQ, always reading some deep philosopical books and always thinking about fucking.🙄

I liked the stalker part and i had so many theories but that plot twist absolutely shook me. I did not expect that.

I liked the past scenes when they were kids and my fav part was def when they went to France and that epilogue was so cute.🥺

Overall, did i liked this series?(at least the books i managed to read) not really. Not my fav work from Rina.
Am i excited about Knox's book? Yes yes. but i'm gonna lower my expectations.

She’s not supposed to be my calm. And yet, when her head falls on my back and her warmth mingles with mine, I realise she’s the only calm I’ve ever had in my life

Update: I uprated this to 5 stars because this book has been on my mind constantly.

Tropes in this book: sports, high school, step siblings, enemies to lovers, forbidden
Trigger warnings: depression, domestic abuse, self-harm, death

I can't believe that Ms Kent saved the last for the best. For real.

I dreaded starting this series initially but now it feels a little empty. But this book clearly and definitely outperformed the rest in terms of angst.

    THIS IS NOT SPOILER FREE

My official ranking of the RES couples:
    1. Colesilver
    2. Xanderkim
    3. Ronanteal
    4. Aidenelsa
    5. Leviastrid (right where they belong)

Cole and Silver as kids beat Xander-Kim as kids simply because Cole knew how to be possessive from such a young age.

"Are you sure you want to know?" "This secret will keep us together for life". "F-for life?" "Yes, Butterfly. For life." "I’m leaving.” "I thought you wanted to know the secret?" She nods discreetly. “I want to be your first" "My first in what?" “In everything, Butterfly.” "Then I want your firsts, too. Promise me." "Promise"
From this interaction I think it's crystal clear he knew how to negotiate since young. And he isn't normal:
Chaos is the only thing that makes me stop and stare. It’s a pause button to my brain
because there's something dark and sinister inside him that threatens to come out often.

Silver holds the award of getting Cole to beg for a cheek-kiss:
Please kiss me on the cheek
which becomes his cheeks and lips because he takes it from Silver, her first kiss. Since their first interaction Silver has always hated Cole but that just increased more:
Hate me all you want, but keep our promise. All your firsts are mine

So with the back and forth banter between them, they grow up and then a bomb is dropped on Silver's head:
    becoming my brother. No. Nope
even though she's the one who wanted her single father to find another woman she didn't want it to be Cole's mother but she didn't want to sabotage his happiness too. Even with the possibility of them becoming step siblings, it doesn't stop her:
Why does kissing him feel so good? It’s not supposed to, right? I hate him enough
from kissing him except the regrets she face very often after.

It's not just one sided because Cole's fascination with her doesn't stop:
My entire body sharpens whenever she’s in my vicinity. It’s been getting more noticeable over the years. Every time she’s there, I have this urge to get up, grab her, and take her…somewhere
and every time she pushes him away the more he chases after her. Even when Aiden and Silver get engaged for the sake of their fathers, & to piss Cole off who in turns tells Silver he has screwed their school nurse:
You don’t know what I’m feeling right now, but I’m going to make you regret it

Cole makes it his goal to destroy Aiden and Silver because Silver lied that she lost her first time to Aiden:
I might not like Silver Queens, but I’ve always considered her something sacred. And mine. She ruined that. She ruined everything
She killed the small living part in my chest, and now, I’ll kill her in return
It might not be today or tomorrow, but Silver Queens will pay for this pain. I’ll make it slow and torturous, just like the thing dying in my chest

Starting with the constant reminders of:
I’ll take good care of you, baby sister
    and the promise of his:
This time, I’ll swallow her so much into my chaos, she’ll never find a way out
never giving her a chance to stay away from him. And Silver stands up to him:
"You started this whole mess." “That’s because you didn’t keep your promise. If you didn’t save me your firsts, why should I save you mine?”
Despite all this semi angsty talk between them, it doesn't stop Silver from losing her first:
Ever since you fell apart around my fingers, I’ve been fantasising about taking you in every fucking position
“You know, I was going to wait until they broke up to make you mine, but they made this decision.” He leans over so that he covers my back, then wraps his hand around my hair and fists it tightly. “And I made mine.” He thrusts into me in one ruthless go
and when he finds out she has been lying:
"This is your first time?” “Obviously, dickhead" My breathing cracks when I find him staring down at me. If I expected pity, there’s none. Instead, there’s a hint of concern, but most of all, his eyes shine with a possessiveness so tangible, I can taste it on my tongue
he actually shows concern which means he is capable of it! Special mention for this:
Cole gathers the cum that’s dripped from me and fucks it inside me with two surprisingly gentle fingers until I’m nearly begging for another orgasm
I'm all for this but just don't actually knock me up.

And with every other book, the first time unlocks the road to multiple other times:
Fuck, how she moaned my name. That’s the only way I want her to say my name from now on
where they fuck on every possible surface and it makes Silver think is it because of the possible stepbrother kink:
Is it because he became my stepbrother? Am I acting this way because my will was taken by our parents’ marriage and I missed the timing?
again, I'm all up for this kink and with a valid reason (read the book to know). Cole's possessiveness increases:
No one will see you like I do, touch you like I do, fuck you like I do
as his kinky, rope tying side comes out:
Cole parts my legs and secures them to the poles of the bed
He rummages through the drawer and brings out a ball gag and a blindfold
ball gag + blindfold + ropes, C-C-combo. His dirty talk is as good as his apparatus:
"You like it, don’t you? The fact that you’re under my control, the fact that I get to do whatever I want with you without your brain meddling?”
I've got no words except to say a man who says that to you deserves to be kept.

As more drama happens, Cole tells Silver:
"Here’s the thing, Butterfly, I can’t stop.” “Why not?” “Because you’re my chaos, and I can’t survive without chaos.” “I’m chaos?” “The worst of all. The most beautiful of all. And you know what? You might as well be the deadliest.”
Cole had the best dialogues in the series because he sounded very metaphorical for some reason and that went straight to my heart. Not only his words but with how well he knew Silver (there's a whole paragraph about it, I won't spoil it but read it). And he gifts her everything:
If hickeys are what she wants, I’ll bathe her body with them until the entire fucking world knows she’s taken
including every small, sexy thing. And he doesn't hesitate to bare his heart to her:
You’re the only thing I’ve never been able to think through
Because you’re the reason I look forward to new days
You made me obsessed with you to the point I can’t fucking breathe until I see you
Do you think I have the energy to focus on anyone but you?
You drive me fucking crazy I don’t mind self-destructing if it’s with you
And he also thinks about her all the time:
Silver is the beauty and the ugliness. The calm and the chaos
Right days end with me slipping into her room and fucking her before hugging her to sleep, only to wake her up in the middle of the night to fuck her again
I’ll burn her ships so she has no choice but to fall back into me. To be mine for seven fucking centuries — or whatever is close to that in human years
Silver’s not only chaos, she’s also a goddess. The type everyone can watch from afar, but I’m the only one who gets to worship at her altar. The one who gets to own every inch of her
I let her pain soak mine because if I had the option to take the hurt in her cries or the rawness of her grief, I would
he also knows what she loves bed wise:
She loves the thrill, the slight fear, and even the forbidden aspect of it. She gets wet when I ask her if she’s scared someone will walk in
and Silver knows he stuck to his word every time:
When he demanded my firsts, I saved them for him. In return, he saved me his. We’re each other’s everything

I didn't talk much about Silver in this review because I had a major issue with how she was being treated:
"I swear I had nothing to do with it. I only just found out myself. If I’d known, I would’ve told you.” “But you knew Adam’s intentions.” “And apparently, you’ve known about them for a long time.” “Cole —" “Not a word.” “Cole —” “Go wait in the car.” “Come here, Silver. Go there, Silver. What do you think I am? Your fucking toy?” “Go wait in the car.”
actually it was not the first time where Cole thought that he gets the authority to remove Silver's right to talk. There were a few other occasions where I was too pissed to highlight. I know this is a bully romance, enemies to lovers blah blah but Cole wasn't exactly an angel either. He knew that Silver had a stalker but he didn't do anything about it and he kept her and everyone in the dark and he dares to treat her like a walkover. And what pissed me even more was when Silver actually listened to him. Sure she showed some anger but it always, always disappeared which is why I deducted one whole star for it. Actually this was a trend amongst all the FMC on RES except Teal who fought back a little more than the rest. Silver was portrayed to be a bitch because of her family (which I learnt in this book) but she had the don't-touch-me vibes in the other books which wasn't present in this book. Like all that hyping up went to waste, she never punished Cole for his actions but just took it all and accepted it as if she deserved that.

But, this book had such a good plot twist (I didn't reveal that plotline in this review) it stunned me for a few seconds, like I had to sit my ass down and process before I flipped the page. For that, I gave it 4 stars. And for their chemistry, I love a good enemies to lovers and I think this book's forbidden aspect added onto it.

This book tied together the entire RES and it doesn't exactly feel nice to end this series but at the same time I have to read the other books so that I can read God of Malice without any confusion.
