Alexander was bitten, not born and his entire human life went up in flames when he became a wolf shifter. But now he's a part of the Blue Mountain Pack where he manages most of the pack's business, including taking care of the Cirque de Nuit Pride while they're in pack territory - a traveling circus with Sanctuary status granted by the Council of Paranormals. The job was supposed to be boring, but the last thing he was expecting was an acrobat witch to be his mate.

Lily is a green witch in the Cirque de Nuit Pride doing acro gymnastics with her brother, Cole. She loves performing and she loves the Cirque, but she has never felt at home on the road, constantly moving around. Lily is surprised when she's drawn to the strange wolf watching over them, but the last thing she wants from him is a fling. Lily knows anything between them is over before it starts, unless there's another way...they'll both have to face their demons if they want this to work.

Wolf Curse is a crossover book which features the Cirque de Nuit Pride. It is a steamy M/F shifter romance that takes place in the Council of Paranormals world. In the timeline this book takes place before Vaudeville Runaway.

Wolf Curse (The Blue Mountain Wolf Pack #4) Reviews

This book is set in the Cirque de Nuit from
Vaudeville Runaway, and incorporates more of the Council of Paranormals world.
It’s very different form the other books in the series, and we get to see these two falling for each other without any magic involved. No insta-love, and the flirting is fun and wholesome. They’re just a really sweet couple, and the sibling love is just as pure.
I loved the world building around Lily’s powers as a witch and how mental health affected the natural world around her. Such a great detail to add to the lore and it built so well and just added that extra element to this universe. Alexander is still 90% enigma though, which is an odd way to feel after reading half a book that’s inside his head.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

As a huge Dean fan I was more then ready to dive back into the Blue Mountain Wolf Pack series and this one is quite fun. This book takes us back to the Cirque de Nuit before Vaudeville Runaway following Lily a green witch that is really unhappy living with the traveling circus even if she is good at it. Her gifts cause the problem but her family just makes it worse. They travel to the Blue Mountain lands to set up where she meets Alexander a made wolf with his own issues. The two quickly learn they are mates but there is a learning curve as well as some things to work out first. Makes for a fun read filled with lots of characters we know and love though it is still awesome if you have not read the others. A must read for fans of paranormal romance. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

This has been my favorite story in this series so far because I really loved Alexander and Lily

After everything Alexander went through in his life, from being turned into a wolf and being used to fight, then having escaped from that situation and ending up killing someone from the trauma, then having to be bought by the old alpha of the blue mountain wolf pack and having to live an uncertain life from the infighting, to living a better life in the pack with the new alpha and finally finding his mate who has grounded him & his wolf. And I truly can't wait to see who is next in getting their mate.

I always shocks me how incredibly well Emma Dean packs seamless references to other stories within the world, important plot stuff, engaging character development, and emotional, heartfelt scenes into these books. I always feel happily teary and emotionally compromised when I finish these. Out of the Blue Mountain Pack, this is by far my favourite, too. I loved the others too, but I'm a total sucker for the Cirque in this world. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an emotional yet uplifting read.

Another good book in this series

In this book we get to meet some familiar faces from the Cirque de Nuit Pride. This book takes place before vaudville runaway so we get to see Kai still unmated.
I really enjoyed this book it had a focus on depression and anxiety which you don't see alot. A green witch without roots learns how great it can be to stay in one place. I liked that both the MC we both dealing with their own mental health issues in a way.

Can't wait to read more. Keep them coming

I think this is my favorite out of the Blue Mountain Wolf Pack series so far. I appreciated how both of the main characters were dealing with their own issues and attempting to work through them, and how the other helped in one way or another. I always enjoy when anxiety, depression, and trauma are touched on in ways that make it obvious they're not something always in someone's control to deal with, but that there's healthy ways to try to deal with them. Even today they tend to be treated as if they're taboo subjects, but I think the author did decent touching on them here.

Alexander has had a rough time as a bitten wolf. When the Cirque arrives his issues with witches and apex shifters are put to the test. Laura returns from her studies to rejoin the Cirque with lots of family drama. Lily has quietly suffered in the Cirque but that’s all about to change when she meets her mate. Touching story of love triumphs drama. I look forward to next book. Lots of familiar faces help the new couple out. I read this using my KU subscription.

    I love this world

What an amazing story about finding love and handling mental health. I could not put this book down. I read it one sitting. I learned more about characters I already loved and met some new ones I hope will show up again. The ending made me cry happy tears and want to get out into my garden.

Can not recommend Emma Dean enough.

    Good book

While I would have started the book a few chapters later and introduced Lily when Alexander first saw her, it was a good read. I was thoroughly entertained.
