Gist: This story is about a little girl that has a new baby sister. She asks many questions to her parents if she was once like her baby sister, and they say that she was once just like her baby sister. Each time she asks than she asks if she can help with her sister and they always say yes and tell her how good of a big sister she is.

This gift was actually my mom's way of letting me know that I was, in fact, going to be a big sister. I didn't expect the actual experience to be much more challenging.

I hope this library pick does not give Alice any ideas. She is not getting a sibling! I did enjoy the way the book looked back at the baby experience and then celebrated all the wonderful things about being bigger, like getting to sleep in a big bed, feed yourself, and eat ice cream in the park. Being a big girl is awesome, even if you don't have a younger sibling!

Great book for students that are are big sisters or brothers or soon-to-be. This book illustrates very well that the big sister or brother can always help out.

I read this book to my four year old who had a baby sister. This books helps her see things in a positive way instead of being jealous or lonely when her sister gets attention. Love it!

We bought this book to get my daughter used to the idea of being a big sister since I am expecting. She seems to like the story.
