The Modern Tarot Reader: Harness tarot energy for personal development and healing Reviews

1,5 stars.
The book is extremly basic, and lacks a lot of information. I don't think it is enough even for a beginner's guide. I, however, didn't by the set for the book, I bought it for the Tarot deck which is stunning! -
I’ve wanted to learn Tarot for a while and this book is the perfect introduction - the cards are beautiful & you don’t have to memorise the design as each number/item is listed at the bottom and while there is a lot to take in and learn, I feel as though it’s all written out in a clear and succinct manner. I also absolutely love that the book walks you through the different types of spreads, what the mean and how to read them. The detail of information that goes into every card with it’s numerology/astrology/element and companion card info is totally brilliant.
Spent my summer holiday reading this and I don’t regret it one bit! -
I ❤️ the tarot deck art, the vintage design is what drew me to this in the first place.
The accompanying book is well structured and includes easy-to-follow descriptions of the cards, which is useful considering I'm completely new at tarot. From what I gather, the author uses her own interpretations, as well as namings of the suits (for example, "Elixirs" for "Cups") and I find this helps with establishing a deeper connection with the deck.
I'm so excited and inspired to start this journey with this specific deck and set of instructions! -
So I’m basing my review on the Portuguese version I brought, on a first glance the cards are gorgeous I love them and I connected instantly with them. The reason I’m not giving it a complete 5 stars is that I was expecting the reverse meaning of the cards.
Still great for beginners who are just starting out love that the author mentions the basic layout for the cards, overall I recommend it to anyone who is just getting started. -
Lovely! Got this as a Christmas gift from my sister and this deck is just superb. The eerie but beautiful anatomical illustrations are very suited for a lot of the questions I have about my life right now. The accompanying book is a good basic starter as well. Nothing that will take you too deep but as a beginner pack, well recommended.

Good descriptions of each card, and worded in another way than just the standard way. I've read my fair share of standard descriptions, especially on the internet, but the ones that tend to stick is those where the author described the cards in their own way, even if the core meaning is the same.

I really liked this deck. I've seen it around but I never really felt connected with it but a few days a go I instantly felt something pulling me towards it and I bought.
I really like the vintage look and at the same time really clean and soft. I wish the cards were a bit thicker as they seem that could rip at any minute. Still I heard that the deck was really good for people with arthritis in their hands and I immediately forgot about the paper quality.
As for the book, I didn't love the card definitions as they seemed confusing to me but I really like the introduction part where the actor talks about numerology and other things.
This is a pip deck so I wouldn't exactly recommend for beginners since it might be hard to learn tarot with it.
I really loved this deck and I would recommend
