This one is VERY SPOOKY!!!! Listen, I am pleasantly surprised at how good these are!!! Like I didn’t think they’d be this good but the sonic comics fr fr are surprising me right now.

I think this is the longest I’ve stuck with a run of Sonic since my childhood which is both surreal and nostalgic. Reading this new(er) series gives me that memory of when I’d eagerly await new volumes every comic shop visit with my dad.
Anyway, when some of the most upbeat characters get serious… you know it’s getting risky. I’m still loving this plotline and the mini focus on Team Chaotix at the beginning was great!! I love everyone’s unity even as we bring in teams that rarely work together. Also Omega continues to be one of my favorite characters in this franchise.
“INSTALL A JAW MECHANISM. I WILL BITE THEIR ANKLES OFF.”
Looking forward to what comes next!! This robot virus is definitely reaching intense heights. -
The Metal Virus gets even worse as Sonic and friends rush to evacuate - but with Sonic himself infected, time is running out even faster than he can run.
I've not read a lot of Sonic comics, but these are a lot darker than I ever expected to read. The sense of hopelessness and worry are at an all-time high, and the Resistance really don't seem to be winning anywhere. The subplot with Doctors Eggman and Starline is interesting, especially given that it seems like it'll give Sonic two problems to deal with instead of just one, and it's fun for Sonic to have an enemy that he can't beat by jumping on their head till they give up. Surprisingly deep stuff. -
I like the way Tails, Sonic, and Amy are portrayed in this series. They seem more realistic to me and have good character development. (In the ArchieComics they were also portrayed nicely, and I’m kind of sad those comics were discontinued)I wish shadow wasn’t cast aside and infected though, but at least he’s smarter than the regular zombots. Technically that’s not good for Sonic, Silver and the others, but I’m glad he’s set apart from other zombots.
I wish Ray and Mighty were part of this series though. But I do like Tangle and Whisper a lot.

A really well paced zombie story told in the Sonic the Hedgehog universe. Forcing Sonic to fight something he cant physically fight is a great idea, and everyone gets a moment to shine, whether they're plowing through Zombots (Omega), or reacting to the chaos around them (Charmy and Cream). Clearly part 2 of a bigger story, but I am fully unboard for this. Bring on part 3!

short series review: The 2017 IGN reboot reunites the Archie Comics team of artists and writers, breathing much-needed new life into the Sonic franchise after the events of the Sonic Forces video game. Some new elements and characters were hit or miss, but overall, it's a joy to see the gang back together. Series review to come!

It’s so harrowing I couldn’t put it down but my problem is the story didn’t advance that much. I love that the individual issues have a story of their own while adding to the whole rather than one story cut up but this almost felt like padding and started feeling kinda samey by the end

The start of the metal virus, I love seeing the characters different prospectives of seeing this virus slowly take over their town and villages. Not to mention it’s the start of Sonic’s endless running to stop the virus from spreading, I can’t wait for more!

I feel like Omega really stole the show in this one ~ great!

zombies
Yea this is basically a cheesy 80s zombie movie in the form of Sonic comic, and it works surprisingly well. -
it sets up the best arc in the comic
-
These stupid little sonic comics are stressing me out so much

Plot Overview: Sonic and his friends try to save people from the spreading metal virus, which has gotten out of Robotnik's control.
Issue-by-Issue Breakdown:
My Thoughts: Pretty good! Also pretty dark, but that's preferable to fluff stories. It's surprising that something so serious came up within such a short time, but keeping the odds out of our heroes' favor is always interesting. A good read. -
Three words: THIS. IS. INTENSE. I like it that way. I love how the author(s) have your knuckles, (No, not the red knuckles lol,) turn white as you're grasping the book, (This happened to me,) and how your nose is practically glued inside, and you can't pull your eyes back out! When I got this for my birthday, we were supposed to be playing video games after presents, but we got delayed in playing, because I was already reading!
As all sonic comics are, this is a 5 star book, and no matter how hard you try to resist it, you're going to buy the next volume and have it in your hands before you know it!
However, there is one major downside to this book. My favorite character, Shadow, was ______________ sorry that might b a spoiler. But it's sad, now he won't get to help because he's ______________. 😢 Isn't that sad?
So anyway, great book! 😄
