Extremely funny!
This was a hilarious book. The two main characters, Trent and Greer are really good together. They hate each other from the start and find that they have to work together and they both move in to a new apartment building. The following day when they each leave for work, they find that they are also neighbors.
“For the past week and a half or so, I’ve been getting texts from an unknown number with ridiculous, almost uninterpretable advice.
Never walk by a pigeon coop with an owl in your pocket.
Don’t shit on your own doorstep.
If you swim with a friend, your chances of getting eaten by a shark go down by 50%.
There is no angry way to say bubbles.
Real bear hugs are usually fatal.
Don’t sweat the petty things, and don’t pet the sweaty things.
In case of fire, use the stairs.”
“And my personal favorite came straight from The Godfather.
Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.”
There is also a cast of sidekicks that add to the fun. She has a best friend Emory that is dating one of his best friends Quinn. He also has a lawyer friend that is quite a player and provides a lot of extra comedy. I like the book a lot, but it was quite a slow burn. I wanted a bit more steam.

Greer is a struggling interior designer from New Orleans. She's trying to save her little company with this huge hotel job she's about to interview for.
Trent is the heir to said hotel empire and he's struggling to prove to his dad that he's got what it takes to one day take over the company.
Greer and Trent can't stand each other.
Their first meeting at the gym made this reader fall from the couch laughing - but it also made those two hate each other.
And just hours later they were kissing each other. But it was a masked party - so they don't know they kissed each other. LOL!
And now they have to work closely together for the next nine months!
LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN!
Because not only will they fight and bicker and argue at work all day long - once they're home at night - their fighting won't stop - because they live across the hall from each other!
LOL! I so want to move into the apartment next door and just watch them fight their way to a happily ever after!
Which obviously will take a tiny little while!
But the reader has an amazing time witnessing their journey!
I really loved reading this story. Trent is the perfect guy - rich, hot, nice, grumpy.☺
And Greer is just adorable & hilarious!
I was expecting something a little bit funnier though. It was really funny and adorable ... but other reviews and comments from MM led me to believe that I would be ROFLing all through the book - which I didn't at all. Plus the whole next door thing doesn't happen until a third of the book is over already and the title suggested something a bit more romcom along those neighbor lines. I expected a tiny bit more hilarious moments and maybe even a few more sexy moments. But maybe that's just me. ☺
I still really loved the book. You can't not love a book that starts with a prologue from Thatch!!! ♥ (P.S. should you not know who Thatch is - you've obviously been asleep these last few years and need to hurry to amazon and get started with Max Monroe's first amazing Billionaire Bad Boy series!)
I also loved all the other characters in this story. Greer's bestie Emory and her boy Quince. (I've read all MM books so far, but I don't remember those two? Did they have their own story? I can't remember! But I don't think they did - even though I would've wanted to read how they fell for each other!)
And I especially adored Quince & Trent's other BFF Cap. Cap and Thatch just have to be twins, right?!
Although ... those three might've been in this book a tiny bit too much for my tastes. I adored them - but all their scenes took time away from Greer and Trent's love story. It's not really all that bad, but it was a tiny little bit too much. I guess we had to have them in here to prepare for Cap's story. I can't wait to read his book! The next Billionaire Collection book will be with us in July - but it might not yet be Cap's - he's not yet ready for love! ☺
THE BILLIONAIRE BOSS NEXT DOOR was an adorable & funny New-York-Boss-Man-New-Orleans-Enemies-To-Lovers Rom-Com! I adored it!
Hurry to your nearest amazon for your own Trent - this one is MINE!!! (Quince, Cap & Thatch are mine too obviously!)

Is it better to have been kissed and left or to have never been kissed at all?
Ok first I need to say that I love the name Greer and if my uterus wasn’t closed I would name my next child that. Second I’d like to say that I absolutely love the heroine of this book, named Greer, and I also loved Trent. She is sassy and strong, but still has vulnerabilities. He is tough and smart, a bit of a jerk, but he has a softer side to him as well. These two have a hate to love, boss employee, and neighbors relationship. Mouthful right? The banter is good and the tension is sweet. I enjoyed this read and loved how easy it was. A bit of a slow burn, pretty low angst, and the laughs aren’t as OTT as they were in the first Billionaire’s series (which I loved also, just comparing comedy level here.) I’d say the heat/tension level was on the medium side. I wouldn’t consider this a super smutty read, but trust with these two main characters you don’t need it!
The Billionaire Boss Next Door is the softer side of romcom with great banter and fun characters. -
*Spoilers ahead*
I have a serioushate-lovehate-like relationship with the heroine. She was hilarious at times and at others I just wanted her to tone it down a bit with her snarkiness and dramatics. To each their own of course but I don't like exhausting people. I like them more chill and not so over the top but that's just my personal preference. Is this why she said she's high maintenance? She's just not my kind of people I guess.
There was that scene that really bothered me and where my hate for her kind of started. So Greer, our heroine accidentally gets red paint all over her crotch and frantically decides to CALL her best friend, telling her to go on a computer and LOOK UP how to get rid of a paint stain. Said best friend says she isn't on her computer right now and tells h to hang on so she could look it up ON HER PHONE. Like seriously? Why tf didn't Greer do it herself in the first place? I don't know if that was an honest mistake from the authors (to make the scene funnier or something) or if the h did it just to be ridiculously dramatic. (Because that's an antic I could definitely see her doing.) She's constantly making a mountain out of a molehill.
The h actually knows how her personality is so this story is also a little bit about Greer finding someone who truly accepts her for who she is. I love that, really, I wish that for everyone. Especially because I have my own little quirks. But she and I? We wouldn't mesh well together in real life.
Now my annoyance with her doesn't stop at that. I'm so sick of people eavesdropping on the first part of a conversation and run when they get hurt without listening until the end. It's so damn cliche and it always leads to unnecessary drama. And that is exactly what happens in this book. Cue the eye roll and frustration.
Oh and it continues. You know, we never talk about the girl groveling at the end. Why is that? Is there any book out there where the h makes a mistake and comes back groveling? Somehow I can't recall a single book. The H usually takes the initiative and pursues her again before the h does anything. I never really paid attention to this because often times it's the H who fucks up, but in this case, I was already so annoyed with the h that I noticed every little thing she did and judged her for it. Ugh!
This book could have been decent, but the h ruined it for me. However, if you don't mind dramatics then go for it! The book certainly had its fun moments. -
MEEEEH!!!

4.5 Stars!!
Okay maybe because I went into this just thinking it would be a fun easy read with a light storyline OR maybe because it was just a plain good book…..I’m not quite sure, but this ended up exceeding my expectations.
Was it an absolute favorite book or a clearly outstanding book? Maybe not, but it was a really enjoyable book.
Again with the slow burns that I am not really a fan of but it truly worked in this book. It is definitely not an insta-love book so the character & relationship development had time to gather you into the story.
The hilarious banter between not only Greer and Trent but between those two characters and their friends was wonderful. It really reminds me of relationships I have with my friends.
Greer is spunky, independent and just a great all around character. Trent is cranky, broody and super swoon worthy as you get to know him.
Fun RomCom with some real heart mixed in. -
DNF at 22% So I haven’t read for like four days, I finally figured out why. I was avoiding this book. The second I forced myself to pick it back up and read it I knew that was why. Greer is a horrible heroine. She whiney, bitchy, and selfish. Not only to the male lead but to every other character, including her best friend. Am I shocked she had only one friend? No, I am not. She is awful. Not only do I not care about her love story, I actively want to work against her so that her business fails and she dies alone. Unless you like insufferable heroines stay far away from this book.

I definitely enjoyed this enemies to lovers romance and Greer was fucking hilarious.
The Billionaire Boss Next Door had me laughing or smiling like a complete idiot from start to finish. One, I hope to never forget about drunk Greer. Two, I loved the bantering between Greer and Trent. Three, I fucking called the midnight kiss and everything else that happened after that.
Greer and Trent were two peas in a pod.. ya know after they got over that sexual hump. Greer especially made me laugh and now I have a new word - bitchtits. I will constantly try to add that into every sentence for the rest of my life. Other than that, I loved their group of friends and how they thought this whole thing was hilarious. Of course they were all rooting for them, heck so was I, and it was bound to happen.
The romance was there but it took forever for these two to acknowledge it. Or to at least get their freak on - it might just be though. Other than that, they were cute and I enjoyed everything that happened to them. Long story short, this was a super quick read because of how hilarious it was. If you don't like laughing.. then don't read this book. -
This is the first book I've read from Max Monroe and I really enjoyed.
This book has everything you need to escape from your reality for few hours and get rest.
The characters make me laugh and smile the whole time when I was reading.
If you like to read office romance with enemies to lovers trope, this book is perfect for you. -
This was the first time I've ever read this author. I really enjoyed this book. If was laugh out loud, cheeks hurting funny. The things that came out of Greer's mouth were priceless she definitely had no filter on her mouth.

3 Not Bad Stars
This book is a enemies-to-lovers, opposites-attract romance. The prologue to this was a nice touch, and had me intrigued and keen to read on. I’m happy to say here were some good laughs in this read.
The book focuses on super focused and hot Trent and snarky and overdramatic Greer, who has taken a much-desired job, but without realizing that her new boss is 1) the guy she insulted the previous evening; 2) her new next-door neighbour; and 3) her boss.
The writing overall was well done, and some of the dialogue more than a little amusing. I liked the hero in this – Trent and the side characters, however whilst Greer was ok-ish, she wasn’t a heroine I found myself loving. Some of her romantics had me rolling my eyes without smiling/laughing. Plus, the fact that Trent’s and Greer’s friends decided to keep some secrets from them, for no good reason, wasn’t exactly a example of stellar friends, and with all the author showed me of them before this occurrence, such behaviour didn’t ring true for me.
A light easy one time read.

Sadly, The Billionaire Boss Next Door felt like a cheap reboot of another billionaire series from the pen of Max Monroe. It hadn't managed to bring anything new to the table, because you can easily pair off characters from that series to this one's.
It bugged the hell out of me, along with the fact, that the supposedly-adult people acted all like kids on sugar rush. My head hurt, my mood was so down and I was so happy to see the ending, especially after the lame dramatic twist that was introduced at the end. -
3.5 Stars!!
This story was so cute. SO. FREAKING. CUTE. I'm all about Billionaire romances. I love Max Monroe. One of my most favorite author duos! And this was good. It had me smiling and giggling and swooning and feeling happy. I enjoyed it. An easy read. -
“𝐈𝐟 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞, 𝐈’𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐫."
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗗𝗼𝗼𝗿 by the hilarious ladies of Max Monroe was simply…FANTASTIC! You can ALWAYS expect a laugh out loud, hilarious, and romantic experience with Max Monroe at the helm! Greer and Trent were so freaking adorable together! This enemies-to-lovers-to-SO MUCH MORE love story had me swooning one minute, and in absolute stitches the next. There were sarcastic quips and barbs flung about that made for such satisfying banter. When that was eventually pushed to the side, there was nothing but genuine affection and adoration from both sides. There were quite a few tropes going on in this book, all of which I loved, and the authors gifted us with a beautiful, entertaining, and charming finished product that you'll want to experience over and over again.

Why oh why.....
A circle of billionaires- millionaire whatsoever finding love in same circle is the same format story over and over
A little minor miss- hap boom the relation end up
I have two star because some dialogue quit funny
As to honor that the author give such a loyal Hero which can be absent from sex for over a year then 3 months over after finding the h
Don’t asked me how he possible made the impossible become possible must be lots of committed relationship between his right hand and the soap
Anyway it’s not pricy but it’s a re run of plot and less tasty then the first ones she made -
***DNF***
I’m in a horrible book slump, y’all. I’ve really enjoyed this author’s books in the past, but this one fell flat for me to the point that I wasn’t able to finish. It was with a heavy heart that I had to DNF at 37%, even though the vast majority of the other reviews for this book are super glowy. Maybe I’m under caffeinated and grumpy because of it? I dunno. But I don’t feel good about this.
Plot overview: Quirky, snarky Greer takes a job without realizing that her new boss is a) the guy she insulted the previous evening, and b) her new next door neighbor. Hilarity ensues. It’s a enemies-to-lovers, opposites-attract romance.
If the book was poorly written, I’d feel OK about DNFing it. But that’s not the case. The writing here is great. The dialogue is hilarious, the side characters are great, I adored Trent, the hero, and it hits on some of my all-time favorite romance tropes. Where the book totally lost me was Greer, the heroine. Here are some of the ways in which she chapped my ass:
1. She’s late all the time and not at all apologetic about it. In fact, she seems sort of proud of it. That’s just rude.
2. She thinks Trent is a jerk because he questioned her about just sitting on a piece of exercise equipment he wanted to use while she scrolled aimlessly through her phone, not exercising. I’d be irritated too if I wanted to use a machine at the gym and some chick was just sitting there, in my way, staring at her phone. That didn’t make TRENT the jerk, Greer. YOU’RE the jerk.
3. Insulting the fancy hotel you’re staying in—free of charge, I might add—to a stranger the night before your interview with said hotel’s management is incredibly stupid and rude. (Is anyone else sensing a pattern with Greer?)
4. Greer’s extreme reluctance to apologize to Trent for her assholery (or even acknowledge her assholery) was incredibly aggravating. Grow up, Greer! You’re in debt up to your eyeballs and need the job. How about you try to NOT irk the crap out of your new boss?
5. Greer has the personality of a rabid badger. It’s no shock to me that her business is failing and even her best friend gets super irritated with her every time they talk.
Then there was the fact that Greer and Trent’s good friends decided to keep secrets from the couple for no good, apparent reason, other than their own amusement. That kind of made them seem like jerkoffs, too, and up until that point, they’d seemed like good folks, so it didn’t ring true for me.
So, there it is. Yet another example of a book everyone but ME loved. I’m so, so alone...

It feels amazing to be back in Max Monroe’s billionaire romance world!
The Billionaire Boss Next Door is a hilarious, steamy, and fantastical rom-com that’s just a bit over-the-top, but in a totally good way. This enemies-to-lovers, office romance will have you doubling over with laughter and swooning over the entertaining story line.
Greer and Trent were great characters. Their unique relationship started out a bit (okay, maybe a lot) rocky, so the progression and development of this precarious relationship was completely intriguing. The book is riddled with satirical banter, red-hot chemistry, and the sexual tension literally combusts from the pages (okay, not literally…but you get my point). Throw into the mix an extraordinary ensemble of secondary characters, and you’ve got the beginnings to another outrageously delightful and enticing (standalone) series that readers will fall head-over-heels for!
Max Monroe have penned some of the best rom-coms I’ve read. Their stories are fun and comical, with plenty of eccentricity that makes them memorable well after you’ve finished reading. And this lighthearted and whimsical romance will only leave you wanting more.

4.5 estrellas
Enemies to lovers trope
Good story of a couple who gets together through the machinations of the good friends. Greer is an interior designer who's business is going under and is in desperate need of a job. Her friends helps her out and gets her an interview for a job to design the interior of a new hotel in New Orleans.
Trent is waiting to take over control of his father's company, but his father is so controlling that he doesn't trust him yet, if ever. Trent's dad goes so far as to hire Trent's New Orleans team for him. With their friends secretly working behind their backs, Trent and Greer end up living next door to each other while they work I this project.
While I liked the story and Greer's quirky character, she sometimes came off as being a little bitchy. And Trent was a bit uptight. The part with Trent's father add the end felt glossed over. And what was the deal with Greer's brother and his weird family situation? I felt a bunch of stuff was never resolved or explained, hence the three stars. -
2.5
ok read, found myself skimming through too the end. The heroine, Greer was just to over the top for me. -
2.5 stars
Pretty standard but I did get a few good laughs out of it. -
Wow.. not what I normally expect from Max Monroe.... pretty disappointed in the level of romance in this book.
Characters were still at the Hate status of Hate to Love until almost 70% into the book. Sex scenes were almost fade to black and then I was like... what's the point by this time.. -
***4 ‘Burner Phone’ Stars***
When the eye rolling and the snort/laughing equal out in the end, you know that you ended up enjoying the ride (even if the eyes are a bit sore from all that rolling) and I can’t deny that I enjoyed the whole opposites attract/enemies to lovers crazyness that Greer and Trent (and their crew) put me through. I laughed, I groaned, I shook my head and even swooned just a tinsy bit and was more than satisfied when everything was said and done.
Greer. Here’s the thing about Greer. I loved her. I did. I loved that she owned herself, the good, the bad, the ugly and had no problem speaking her mind, but...and yeah the BUT conflicts with what I just said. But there were times when I really wish she would listen to her inner monologue and take a step back and think about her words and actions. The same can be said for Trent, though in a different sense. He’s a good man and he’s got a lot going on, but man, he really did need a good kick in the balls because him and stress management were non existent.
The funny thing is that these two colliding ~ and dear lord did they ever collide ~ was the best thing that could have ever happened. They are opposites, but they ended up balancing each other out without losing what made them unique. Of course their road was all kinds of bumpy and crazy, and there was one point that kinda shocked me, but I also loved that it happened because it showed just how much these two were growing, so I couldn’t help but be okay with it and loved how everything turned out for them in the end.
I’m still a newbie to the minds of Max Monroe, but I’m really enjoying getting to know what makes them tick with each book I read. This one is definitely a crazy, chaotic romcom, but it was a fun one. The supporting cast of characters were crazy but I loved everything they brought to the table and I’m crossing my toes that Cap will get his soon, because the man definitely needs to be brought to his knees!

Max Monroe is back with a brand new series about Billionaires. The Billionaire Boss Next Door is such a great start to this new series. I’m really excited about the rest of the books in the series. We meet so many great characters, that I’m sure we’ll see more in other books. This takes place in New Orleans and the setting was absolutely perfect. The friendships between both Greer and Emory and the boys was probably my favorite part of the book, and I hope we see a lot more in the series!
This one focuses on Greer and Trent. They have some pretty hilarious meet cutes before actually getting each other’s names. They do not get off on the right foot and become enemies immediately. With some meddling friends, they end up working together and living next door each other, where their relationship changes from enemies to friends to more. I loved Greer! She was snarky, foul-mouthed, unprofessional, and laugh out loud funny! She said the craziest things, and I loved every second of it! Trent was definitely a little bit harder to get a read on. He did change for the better throughout the book though. Trent and Greer’s banter and chemistry was explosive!
This was a funny romantic comedy that I really enjoyed. I would definitely recommend!

I'm always keen to jump into another Max Monroe book, and I was interested to see what this would be like, being another Billionaire themed book. It took a little to warm up for me, around the 20% mark is when I really started to think things were picking up, and was finding myself invested in the story.
I liked both main characters reasonably well, and I liked both Quincy and Cap, but I'm still unsure how I feel about Emory. This one wasn't as much humour as usual for a Max Monroe book, but we still did get plenty of funny moments and weird quirky remarks and traits from some of the characters.
Once I got into it properly, this was quite an easy read, and the ending was perfect, plus left it open for the series to continue. I look forward to seeing which of the secondary characters comes next.

Não me conectei com NADA nesse livro, absolutamente NADA. Achei de uma chatice que pulava várias páginas pra ver se alguma coisa iria acontecer!!

Hilarious
OMG... the banter between these two is hilarious. A very unique, quirky heroine (Greer) and a stern, hot, rich hero (Trent) get off to a very rocky start. I absolutely loved Greer, for me, she was the star of this one. A light hearted read, not steamy enough for me, but it had a captivating storyline and the getting to know you took you through a fun journey till the end. 5 stars to this author.
