Utterly entertaining cozy mystery! I found this book to be quite fantastic! It's a funny, cozy mystery set on an island where basically everyone knows one another. Audible Review, Gumboots, Gumshoes & Murder
A fun read! Amazon Review, Gumboots, Gumshoes & Murder
I laughed, got mad, shaped open mouthed at the antics and characters. It's like a mystery soap opera. Amazon Review, The Dastardly Mr. Deeds
Very Enjoyable Read. Having had an opinionated pig I can certainly empathize with the action created by the pair. Amazon Review, The Dastardly Mr. Deeds

Raising game birds and growing organic herbs sounds like a very low stress occupation but with a little LSD and lethal lead tainted moonshine, murder peeps it's head once more into Seal Island. Betty is still searching for the partially solved murders of three members of a book club. Archie and his poker buddies share gossip as easily as breathing but they also have secrets they want to keep hidden. Archie is the father of Betty Bruce, almost retired RCMP sergeant, living in Vancouver most of the time. She has been promoted and not so close to the action. Gertrude, the pot-bellied pig, and her partner-in-crime buddy, Peaches, a Jersey cow with a taste for flowers. continue their escapes from Archie's barn. Tracking down the killers of two of the book club victims is a nonstop job for Betty. Summer River's farm is bought by newcomers to the island. Guillotine's, witch pyres, hidden stills, drug trafficking, and fatal jealousy ripen within the pages of this book. Fast paced hilarity along with mystery makes this a wonderful continuation of the series.

I really enjoyed this series!!
Give it a try. Not only do you have an immense amount of realism with Island life, you also get semi realistic police life in a small fish bowl.
Lots of fun. Great to see some vindicated and the other jokers caught. I felt bad for Betty as she found out horrible secrets of close friends. -
The number of errors in these books is very distracting! Missing & extra words & punctuation, wrong names 3X! And again, even in this last of the trilogy, the snd isn’t really an end?! I liked the plot tho it did skip over the Frank’s recovery.

This is a finale, trying up the murders hi committed in the earlier two books. The killer/killers are revealed. I have really enjoyed the series and I recommend this book to those who enjoy police procedurals.
