    This book is mandatory reading for teachers teaching Ethnic Studies and administrators developing and implementing the program. This book examines the historical and national significance of the fight for Ethnic Studies, with practical examples from practitioners.

    Plenty of great ideas here, both from a course design perspective, foundations for Ethnic Studies, as well as a plethora of detailed activities and units for teachers to adapt. I like how the content of this book works well for both an Ethnic Studies class (I've already completed the Oral History Project with students, to great results!) and could also be used in other courses that are trying to integrate the Ethnic Studies perspective into their curriculum.
