A very handy book to guide us through mercury retrograde phases (3-4 times a year) and make the most out of it!
Very clear descriptions and very astrology beginner friendly.

  • Lady.starlight90

Interesting book that gives insightful advice on how to work with Mercury retrograde. Very general contents for beginners, but on the other hand the layout and images are beautiful.

To be fair, I won’t officially finish this book until 2025 when Mercury retrogrades through all 12 zodiac signs, but this book is a Must-Read. If you have any knowledge of astrology or like to follow events like Mercury retrogrades, you need this on your shelf within easy reach. As Mercury appears to go backwards about 20% of the year, this book will become extremely helpful, I promise.

Yasmín Boland and co-author Kim Farnell offer an in-depth look at what sign the retrograde falls in, as well as which house, element, and your own personal planets - individual to ones birth chart, of course. It’s personal and insightful. 5 stars.

If you are expecting a basic, easy to read and beginner friendly pocket book on mercury retrograde, this is a decent pick.
If you are expecting an in depth book on Mercury for the more experienced astrologer - this is certainly not it.
I understand that this book began its life as an e-book and although the little book now has a certain degree of filler pages to bulk it up, there is still a decent amount of value and easy to follow references.
It felt a bit repetitive and/or obvious at times, however, for a beginner or someone new to astrology that will probably not bean issue.
It is decent for what it is - a small beginner reference guide on mercury retrogrades.

This book is SO helpful and accurate. It has helped me take the fear out of Mercury Retrograde (MR) and empower me with letting me know what is in my control during each cycle.

This book is very specialized to each MR cycle:
•by fire air earth water sign,
    •by Sun sign,
•and by what house your MR is in for your sign. (Your specific house is listed so you don't have to figure it out.)
•The last section is more advanced and I look forward to learning more about Astrology soon. It is called "When MR meets your Planets."

I have consulted this book for the past 3 MRs. For the first 2, I read it quickly after MR started. For the 3rd, I read it the day MR ended. All 3 times I read about each specific MR, the info was accurate, relevant & very helpful; even in hindsight.

The sections to read each MR cycle have very few pages and they are easy to read and understand. They give you helpful information about where this MR is going to rub you raw and where you can shine in that area as well. Obviously, you have to apply the information to your life with action steps in the recommended areas though.

    I highly recommend this book.

Handy reference guide to Mercury Retrograde

This book is really great to help you decipher MR! I loved the multiple sections of where/how it will affect you according to your birth chart. The only reason I gave it less than a perfect rating is that I felt some things could have been expounded upon a bit more; some chapters were barely 2 pages long and I was left wanting more. Nevertheless, the information is interesting and (as the title of my review suggests) a handy guide to have on hand, as Mercury goes retrograde at least 3x a year ☿

If you're a newbie astrologer buff, you'll be fine with most of the book, though you should have a basic understanding of birth charts (and have yours handy) to get the most out of the book.

Interesting, concise and useful. It explains in a resumed way how Mercury retrograde could affect our daily lives, explanations are based in astrological and planetary data. This book has an useful chart where dates and other information for the next ten years are shown. It could be use as a reference book and as for a quick check for each sign. In any case, I think that some of the analysis have too much astrology point of view for me. I would say it's interesting to check what to look for, what to avoid and what to take advantage of during Mercury retrograde days.

A helpful pocket reference, with some introductory information on astrology and Mercury Retrograde. The book fell a little short for me. Some of the sections were in less than helpful order, and with only a page or two of information for each retrograde situation, there's not much info to work with. The appendix of upcoming Mercury Retrograde dates and the Houses sections with What to Do tabs were the most useful. I'll likely reference this book during future retrogrades, but wouldn't necessarily add it to a must have astrology book list.

I really love reading Yasmins books in general, she is such a down to earth and descriptive author. I find the information to be clear and easy to understand, even in you are new to Astrology.

I think everyone knows that Mercury Retrograde is real, but even though allot of people blame their technology troubles on it, I feel like this is a really simple and precise way of taking in the information.

Firstly I Would Like To Say That Yasmin Boland Has An Amazing And Soothing Voice. I Heard The Full 3 Hours Audiobook In One Day Without Stopping It. I Really Loved Hearing Her Voice.

This Book Gives The Reader An Alternative Way To See The Mercury Retrograde As A Friend. It Is An Easy To Reference And Understandable For A Beginner Astrology Student. A Very Handy Book To Guide Us Through Mercury Retrograde Phases (3-4 Times A Year) And Make The Most Out Of It! 😊🙏💫

Helped me understand what Mercury retrograde is really about!

An easy to follow guide with both basic and advanced topics in Mercury retrograde. I especially liked the sections with the 'cosmic extras' listing tools to be used depending on which house Mercury retrograde was occurring in.

  • Julie

Great guide to work with the cosmic energies as Mercury Rétrograde can be quite hard on us! If you are on a personal growth path this can help you to prioritize the areas of your life to focus on during those Rétrograde periods.

  • Christina Boronkas
