Speak of the Devil (Broken Halos #2) Reviews

Speak of the Devil is the second book in the Broken Halos series, and we reunite with Hel and Eric. Hel is being held prisoner by Michael, as Eric desperately searches for her. Help comes from an unexpected source, and Hel is freed. Of course, it doesn't stop there, because then it would be a very short book. Instead, Hel starts gaining new powers, Eric has to tune down his monster-mash rage, they have sexy times, oh, and try to find Hector before he loses any further body parts.
Hel's attitude is as sassy as ever, and I love how she goes toe to toe with Eric. Maddison is a blast, although I know there is more to her than meets the eye. Raphael has a story he doesn't want to share, which just makes me want it all the more. All in all, this is a non-stop read, full of action and chaos.
Ending on a cliffhanger (just like book one), this will definitely leave you wanting more. A great second book, and definitely recommended by me.
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

Good Book
This second book is better than the first one, although it has some typos that need to be addressed.
It's funny, adventurous and very entertaining.
Give this series a go. -
Book 2 in the Broken Halo series - Speak of the Devil is no less as amazing as the first book. The continuing saga continues for Helena and Eric. What more can happen to these two? Well, if ArchAngel Michael has anything to say about it, he will do so much to Helena. He seems to have his own nefarious plans that are not very angelic. Eric being a Prince of Hell will stop at nothing to get his mate back safe. Dimensions collide and the battle continues. But is everything so black and white anymore? Not all things are as everyone has been told between Heaven and Hell. How will Helena and Eric survive this oncoming war that they got thrown into?
This is a total page turning book from start to finish and you won't want to put it down. I know I didn't. Action packed, mayhem, mystery and steamy sexy scenes too. Why are you still reading this? Go get the book!! -
Hel has her world turned upside down and inside out ~ angels and demons are fighting over her left right and center! She's had shock after shock but Eric is always there to help ground her ~ even if it can't be in person.
In this installment we see more vulnerability in both main characters but also strength and determination ~ they'll both fight to the death if pushed, but they'll also take down as many as they can with them!
Another great read full of passion and sass!!

This book was nonstop action. I could not put it down. Helena is on her way to becoming a confident heroine.

In this second installment, Michael kidnapped Helena to use her blood for nefarious purposes. Eric and Raphael come to the rescue. Every single page is filled with action! Hector is missing and old friends of Helena’s make an appearance as well. Eric and Michael still want to kill one another. Helena discovers new powers and information about whom or what she is exactly. They decide to go after Hector and end up in a battle…but when Helena’s blood hits the floor…oh no! But, what do they really want with Helena’s blood? Will the new powers help her protect others and herself? This is a great series and I cannot wait for the next book! I received this book as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

2.5
I wasn’t a fan of the dialogue and toward the very end I got a little bit bored with it all.
Cliffhanger ending -
Book two of the broken halo series following the events of the previous book Helena is held captive by the Archangel Michael whose obsession with her is growing. Michael repeatedly takes vials of her blood. Eric desperate to get his mate back. With the help of Archangel Raphael she manages to escape and reunite with Eric and Maddison. But her powers are growing and she’s becoming stronger than before frighteningly so for Eric. As she is both part angel and part demon. They learn that Michael is trying to lure Lucifer to earth to kill him. Helena loses her shit when she believes hector has been hurt and goes hunting the hunters. Amanda is alive and betrayed her as did Jared. The cliffhanger at the end was awesome with a portal opening now Eric and Helena have to go to the other side to close it. I loved read This book I liked the fact that Helena is coming into power and becoming something other and dangerous I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series. I definitely recommend reading this book and this series.

Speak of the devil
I am really enjoying this series so far. It's well written and hard to put down. You'll like the characters, my particular favourites are of course Helena and Eric, but I also love Maddison. Fast paced from the beginning, the story picks up where it left us in book 1. Eric needs to rescue Helena and finds they have an unlikely ally. Helena has quite a few revelations in this book, starting her on the road to understanding who she is. A twist at the end, leaves Eric and Helena with no choice but to embark on another journey.... Which leads us to book 3, which I need now! -
So I really enjoyed the second book.
Helena is funny and sassy, and we are slowly learning more about her as the book goes on.
Eric is sweet, caring and trying to be supportive of his mate in this book too.
I’m really looking forward to reading more about the other characters in the book like Maddison and Raphael.
I’m looking forward to reading book 3 and finding out more about all the characters. -
Omg
Helena is taken by Micheal. Once they get her back things start happening things that they don't understand well except for Madison obviously
