A killer is on the loose at the University of Morgana. Mika has to figure out who. and fast before she loses someone she cares about.

Mika's first semester at Morgana hasn't been going well. She nearly killed the boy she likes, and found out she has a rare specialty that will put her life at risk if anyone finds out what it is. Not only is her basic magic still blocked, but she managed to stumble across a sacrificial killing in the forest.

Finding out who killed the student and why is the only way she can keep her friends safe. Ethan, Lucien, Audrey, and a surprising addition agree to help her find out the killer and what they're up to.

But none of them had any idea what was lurking under the school, or what the search would force them to discover.

This is a slow burn reverse harem academy series. All paranormal books by Emma Dean exist in the same world - the Council of Paranormals.

    Things are heating up!

Things are heating up in Mika’s world both from the guys vying for her attention and revelations about her magic and the killer on campus. The next book sounds like it will be awesome!

    Fantastic!!

Another thrilling adventure with Mika and her friends. Tackling a new semester she is trying to get rid of her block while still passing everything. This is hard enough before dead bodies start popping up with their organs harvested with her finding them all. This makes for a great mystery in between the relationship building, learning magical secrets, and training. An excellent addition to this series with an Ending that leaves you wanting more. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

What an absolutely great read. Emma Dean has such a way with words that the reader is always guaranteed a great adventure!! The characters are fun and engaging and memorable.

In Wicked Games, Mika is trying to survive another semester. But you know all the dead bodies popping up with their organs missing can put a twist on the year.

I really enjoy where her relationships are headed. Who they all are we shall see.

Way to go Emma, another great hit for the University of Morgana series, I really cant wait to see what happens next.

Mika is understanding and using her magic more and more. The role of the Morrigan adds mystery and deeper meaning to her skills. Meanwhile, Mika and her friends are dealing with a murderer and midterms and proving themselves in magical Dodge ball. Bit by bit the Morrigan and fox grow into their own, but what happens when you throw a raven in the mix? I guess we will find out in 3.

  • Lucy

    Wow

Trying to find the murder and juggle, school, sports, boy and trying to get rid of her magical block is a lot to handle. Can mika do anything about it, so much secrets revealed but more questions are left behinf

    Murder and Witchcraft

This second book in the series by Emma Dean builds up the tension nicely. There is a murderer loose on campus and Mika is the only one who seems to be close to finding a clue. She is slowly coming to understand her Blood Magic abilities through time spent with Hunter the fox. Hunter has access to libraries not available to the average witch. In them Mika is discovering the history of her magic and is trying to find out why Blood Witches seem to have disappeared from the public witch histories.

Alongside trying to solve a murder Mika and Audrey are trying to study hard and train alongside Malachai for the Battle Magic Dodge Ball Team. Mika has feelings for three men and desperately wants to overcome her fear of physical contact and her magical block, but fitting it all seems to be a challenge.

The plot in this series is clever and the personalities of the characters are really starting to show, as Mika gets to know them all. Mika herself is a likeable and complex character. She sees her flaws, both magical and personal, and tries to get over them. I like that she is having to work really hard to understand her power as it makes her struggle more believable.

I really enjoyed this book and the series is building really well. I will definitely continue to read it.

Worth reading; not many errors; fantastic storyline

You guys, the University of Morgana series by Emma Dean is freaking amazing.

I wasn't too sure in the beginning, because the first book felt slower, so when I started the second book, I kept getting distracted. But, I was so, so wrong to let myself get distracted, because the second book was so amazing, it elevated the first book for me. The series is now going in my To Buy section on Amazon (which does NOT happen often).

Only two books are out so far, but #3 is slated for early August. The author did a phenomenal job and it wasn't riddled with grammatical errors like so many others are, so I was able to stay in the book world more consistently.

It's slow RH, but I kind of prefer that sometimes because I'm also a take-it-slow kinda gal. Fast stuff is fun too, but if you can handle slow, give this series a try!

5 stars for Wicked Games by Emma Dean. This is book two in the University of Morgan:Academy of Enchantment and Witchcraft series. Holy crap this book/series has me hooked. I can not put it down. Book two picks up right where book one left us. Mika is still trying to get rid of her block, which is hard since dead bodies are dropping left and right. Mika is worried about her magic and what it could mean for her if other people found out. “So essentially you’re in survival mode all the time if you can perform battle magic without issue. That explains a lot about your personality.” Mika is starting to come Audrey and her guys, we do get some secrets revealed , woo hoo. You should be warned you may experience loss of sleep from not being able to put this book down until you have finished it. It also ends in a cliffhanger. I’m so into this story it’s 2 a.m and I am starting book three.

    Kindle Unlimited.

I am writing this review for books two and three because I read them back to back, and they're so short, I can't remember what happens when.

This picks up right where the previous book left off. There are a couple things about this installment (and installment 3) that aren't kosher.

I feel like the plot is not thoroughly mapped out, and we're not heading in a clear direction. I'm not sure how to describe this other than it feels like I'm zigzagging through a story. Maybe it's just the pacing. It's taken three books to get us through one semester. This school is five years long!

The author seems to be redefining the family dynamics that were outlined in book one. For example, in book one, Mika and her sister have a stilted relationship, but it's not jealous and petty. By book three there's zero trust between them.

What I really like about this series is that the author doesn't throw everything at us in one go, she keeps things interesting:
-Mika , but we still don't know what is going to happen with her other guys. She takes her time with each and every one of them, and there's no insta-love, which can be boring.
-She finally , which doesn't make the story go round and round in circles.
-There is this new character at the very end of the last chapter, and I don't know why I'm thrilled about this, but I want to know more about him!
Again, I cannot wait to read the next book!

Mika is growing and the book was on point

    Over all story - 4.5
    Main Character - 4
    Sexiness - 5
    Love Interest - 4.5
    Over all rating - 4.5

I really enjoyed that Mika is now coming to terms with who she is. It took some big bumps in the road to get there but she was like i am a blood witch and she is owning it. I was happy she took that step with her sexuality an over came some of the fear from her past. She is collecting her men and moving closer to them emotionally and physically. But there is always one that’s in the air about their feeling for her and distance them selves from her. Over all this was a good book and can’t wait for the next one.

    I’m loving it

    4.3 for me.

I’m slowly warming up to five stars for this series. I’m only two books in and I’m already loving it. Mika is funny. She’s got a temper and bad attitude but it comes from legitimate issues that she actually wants to work on. I love that the people supporting her actually support her. The guy are funny and I love that they don’t jump on her. This truly is a slow burn (well for one of them at least) and it’s exciting. The murders keep things fresh and I like that they slowly introduce yet another piece of her future’s puzzle. It’s fast, but complete, entertaining, and the sex is hot.

Love the sexuals. Love the school. Love the magical world.

Goodness! This story is getting more and more intriguing. It pulls you in and doesn't let go. The writing is beautifully developed with stunningly beautiful characters. The story is packed full of mystery and suspense. It keeps you on the edge of your seat as you try to figure out all that is going to happen. I love the drama that also takes place as the story proceeds. This story definitely has many interesting elements. The descriptions are radiant and all you to feel as if you are part of the story. This is a must read and I am excited to see what happens.

  • Mary

I'm really having difficulty staying engaged with this series. I keep getting bored. I'm not sure why. I like everything, but I guess there's not enough conflict? or angst? I'm not sure. Also, the relationship between Mika and Audrey seems to be the only one fleshed out. The guys just seem meh. I mean, I was shocked that there were already some i love you's. I feel like I'm missing something. Her friendship with Audrey is show, but with the guys, all tell. I'll continue, but I really hope we get some more depth. I also would like to be gripped for more than just the last 10% of the book.

  • TXBRITGAL

Still jumping up and down with glee!!!

I loved book one, but oh my WORD this book surpassed that by leaps and bounds. Definitely read book one first or risk being lost. So many reveals in this book and a drop your jaw cliffhanger suck you deeper into this world!!!! So much intrigue, secrets revealed, action, a bit of fun along the way. I dare you not to get hooked on this exciting read!

  • Danyelle Williams

This is the second book in the series and gets even better than the first one.

Three are so many good things happening in the book. We get to see more of Hunter in his mentor position as he continues to help Mika. In this book Mika learns so much about who she is, her powers, those around her and possibly what her future holds.

Another great book by Emma Dean. Definitely recommend reading this series

  • Raina

I so love this series. This is definitely not like any other academy book. Mika is one amazing character. Just when she thinks she has things figured out something else terrible happens. With a murderer on the loose killing students, she knows she may be the only one that can stop them. She has an amazing roommate and some young men that always have her back. Add in that the men really like her things get tense and hot. Expect anything when it comes to magic.

  • Beth C.

    Fun and full of excitement

This series is just getting better and better. I love the way the author has all the series in the same world and that there are crossover characters. Mika is closer than ever with her guys and with her friends, both old and new. But strange and scary things are happening and the University of Morgana and Mika might be the only one who can figure them out. Super fun and exciting book!

  • Belinda Clemons

Wow Wicked Games Heat up with Mika learning more about blood magic and her being a blood witch. This one gets bloody and thrilling. also so sweet and sensual. I just love Audrey and Mika's Men. also Hunter Kenzie's Fox is so great I hope he is in all the books to be honest. The girls and guys find a seal and one of the murderers and why they were doing it. I so can not wait to read book 2. also Mika's Raven shows up what a cool ending.

  • Tera Comer

This is the second book in the series and we get to watch as Mika learns more about blood magic and her being a blood witch. Mika is still dealing with her block while also dealing with everything else so things are much more stressful for her. With all the action and suspense there is plenty to keep you pulled into the book. The narrator keeps you pulled in with their wonderful work of these characters

  • Thomi-michelle Oladitan

    Omg!!!!!

Mika has solidified her relationship two of her men and has found some of the craziest things along the way. Learning about her specialty has brought clarity and struggles along the way. With a major shocker and a better understanding of who and what she is this get interesting to say the least.

  • Krystal

I love Mika and her friends and her men!

This one was such a good follow up to the first book with Mika! I feel like I really know her and her friends and her men! Loved the foxes, Kenzie and Selena being involved as well!! Can't wait two more months I finished this in two days bc of life and now I'm left on edge waiting!
