Catterfly is Born (Catterfly® Series Book 1) Reviews

It's cute.
-
Sweet picture book that allows learning through prose and richly illustrated pages. There are even coloring pages which helps reinforce what they’ve learned.
Younger children can follow the story through illustrations, while parents can go over the facts with them about the metamorphosis journey.
I was given this book to read by the author and this is my honest review. I will order the physical book for my grandchildren after the release date. -
Cats are my favorite animal. I needed this in my life.
I saw this in one of my Facebook author groups. they were having a free promotion, so I figured I could grab it and give it a try. :D You might not be able to tell, from some of the messed up stuff I write and read, but I actually have a big soft spot for cute and cuddly things.
and what's cuter than a kitty with butterfly wings? :D
Some of the writing felt a bit awkward. :/ some of the rhymes didn't flow well, especially when read out loud. but overall, it was a sweet story about celebrating differences. I really like that. :D
but my favorite part was the artwork. It was bright and colorful and gorgeous! I adore Catterfly. she's beyond adorable.
recommended for anyone who loves picture books. :D make sure and share it with a little kid! :D -
Alma Hammond always creates the most beautiful and compelling books. I love to collect children's books but I only collect the really lovely and beautiful ones. Honestly, this book is magical, whimsical and I imagine a whole lot of fun for a child. A few bonuses are the coloring pages and butterfly facts. I didn't expect that - and that's especially fun. I hope to see Catterfly again soon in another book.

Adorable children's book about acceptance
I read this to my granddaughter and her favorite part was the name, Catterfly. She giggled when we got to that part. The story is about acceptance and how we can all appreciate each other's differences. The illustrations are beautiful and colorful. -
The Catterfly is born book is so adorable. Loved reading it with my four year old. The illustrations are simply gorgeous and the fun lessons to teach the caterpillar/butterfly life cycle are great. I also loved that the book teaches acceptance of those different from us and celebrates what makes each of us special. Great preschool book!
-
A wonderful educational tale about the life cycle of the butterfly with a very creative twist. An excellent science resource with fun rhyme that kids will love.
-
Combines two of kids favorite animals in a magical way!
What a fun fantasy book for kids as the author combines 2 favorite animals together! The illustrations are bright and interesting. I am excited to see what Catterfly will do next! -
Clever and Fun
I thought this was a very clever and fun book. This would be a perfect gift for little girls who like cats and butterflies and have silly imaginations. -
Beautiful pictures
My daughter loved this idea and the stories. Very pretty and nice to have the facts about butterflies at the end. -
Super cute
Gorgeous illustrations. Cute story. I loved every second of it, as did my 6 yr old. Will definitely re-read it! -
Beautifully Illustrated Story
Children and adults of all ages will love this tale about being different as well as the importance of accepting and enjoying your differences. Highly recommended. -
What is a chrysalis and what are chrysalides? This book answers this question! I didn’t even know the answer!
I love books that teach children new things and even us adults who read them! I enjoy getting children’s books on my Kindle to read to my grandchildren when they visit.
This book is a keeper! Highly creative with the cat that has butterfly wings having gone through the process that a butterfly goes through called metamorphosis.
The illustrations are just beautiful! I liked the smiling butterflies and little animals throughout the book.
The storyline is easy to follow. At the end there is information about caterpillars and their life cycle as they change into butterflies. I did not know that a “cocoon” is a moth’s equivalent to a butterfly’s “chrysalis”!
A well written book, nicely illustrated and a great teaching tool for children. Learning not only about nature but about being different.
The catterfly (such a clever name!) who says to the butterflies, “ I can’t wait to do the things that you do, but as a winged cat from this magical view!” -
Two new words are in a glossary at the beginning of the book for you and me.
There are four chrysalis hanging under a grape leaf in a vinyard . Butterflies squeezed out of their cozy doors. The fourth took a little longer and when it came out, it was different and very beautiful. A beautiful cat came out and then came what? It came out as a butterfly. There is something on his back. In my imagination, it is very pretty. In your imagination , is it pretty? The writer wrote wrote words that made us have pretty pictures in our heads. The illustrator, or one who free the pictures showed us how pretty it is.
What can a catterfly do? Let's find out by listening/reading.
I found this book on a website for free for an honest review. -
Alma Hammond shares a real imaginative new creature that is a cat with butterfly wings in
Catterfly is Born." This is a very unique story that provides young children with a story about being different and using your natural gifts in the appropriate situations. Hammond uses a great rhyme scheme to keep the readers interested as well as the gorgeous illustrations by Emily Hercock. I recommend this story for all children especially those that are in the 2 to 6 years old age range. -

Half cat half butterfly, what a wonderful imagination
Such a wonderful story, what an amazing imagination to make a book on a half cat, half butterfly creation.
The book shows kids how enriching diversity can be, and at the same time give information on nature, on how butterflies start their lives. I highly recommend. -
The book has lovely illustrations and some correct information about butterflies, but any of the illustrations with legs for the butterflies have far too many. Butterflies have 6 legs and their chrysalis is made of a protein whereas moths have cocoons made from silk.
Lovely as a magical tale, but the information given as fact needed further research. -
Catterfly is Born is a very cute book! The illustrations are beautiful and the story is well done. This book teaches the readers that being different is not a bad thing and it also teaches about the life cycle of a butterfly. If you know a child who hasn't read this book yet, definitely get them a copy!

A beautiful book for young children, with gorgeous illustrations they'll love to look at and a cute story they'll ask you to read to them over and over again. This is a book to keep and hand down to the next generation too!

I have 3 grandsons under 3 years old. This was a sweet book for each of them on their own level. Whether imagining a catterfly or following the life cycle of the butterfly or talking about differences. It's a great book for those of us who love cats and butterflies.

My daughter and I really enjoyed this book and the beginning of the journey of Catterfly. The illustrations are adorable and the story does a lovely job of highlighting Catterfly unique and magical qualities. I look forward to more books.

Cute enough
The premise is cute, but some of the wording was cumbersome, like the author wanted to rhyme but didn't have the right flow.
